I love neste danti soaps too and have quite a few :) I also use marseilles soap....I've just been using a lovely musk one.

Korres looks really nice...might have to try some.

Morrisons do a brilliant lemon deodorising soap (I live with 3 males....) its £1.20 for a pack of 4! Great stuff.

I’d love some advice on fragrance for men, the bloke in question (23 year old son) likes eau Sauvage, but thinks too many people are wearing it. Also likes invictus. Any ideas? Wandering round Harvey knicks spraying samples isn’t the option it used to be. I’ve tried waving some of the more unisex of my fragrances at him without success. Expensive fragrance is fine, Boxing Day birthday and I’m short of ideas. Any suggestions for a less ubiquitous but similar to eau Sauvage would be massively helpful, or anywhere I can get samples from - happy to pay for them. Tried le labo but he didn’t like any of them

You could try the nose.fr diagnostic tool (noseparis.com/en/customer/account/login/referer/aHR0cHM6Ly9ub3NlcGFyaXMuY29tL2VuL215bm9zZS9yZXN1bHQvbXlkaWFnbm9zZS8,/).

If you put in Sauvage and Invictus, it will suggest other ones he may like and you can then order the samples to try.

Les Senteurs has a sample service as well but they don't make suggestions.

Also, Perfume Parlour have started doing perfume mash-ups so things like Creed Aventus mixed with other things. Might be a cheaper option!

Morning all. No SOTD yet. I have been wearing by the fireplace the last few days which was perfect on a very cold camping break.

Also discontinuing my relationship with lush - have reverted to REN moisturiser (sustainable ingredients supposedly but lots of packaging) but need a sub for their purple shampoo. Any ideas?

I also go cheap for body care - e45, aveeno and children’s prescribed eczema cream, all unscented then I can wear more perfume.

Oh and plain Marseilles soap. I have actually brushed my teeth with it like it says you can on that internet, and it was surprisingly refreshing.

I used lush purple shampoo too - I've switched to avon colour correct purple shampoo or the elvive purple one.
Both are good and cheaper than lush!

Sotd avon lbd - got a compliment in it yesterday so wearing it again today.

SOTD was 4160 sexiest scent. Maybe not an appropriate name for DS first day at school, but the right smell.

SOTD is 4160 OTCS. I loved the tester so much, but the bottle just doesn't have the staying power. With the tester it lingered until I showered. This is gone within a few hours. So disappointing.

I've been into town for the first time since January!

It was pretty depressing tbh although I did get the cushions I went for.

No perfume testers obviously but no prices in m&s either 🙄 shame as I liked the sound of vanilla Woods!

I really wanted to love 4160 Over The Chocolate Shop, but it did nothing for me. Silk, Lace and Chocolate, however, smells amazing! Also my favourite of the house, Inevitable Crimes of Passion, smells a bit chocolatey.

SOTD Kenzo Flower, a straightforward sweet violet and rose with musk. Others get vanilla from this but not me so much.

Was it OTC or the extra strong version?
Perhaps your sample was the stronger stuff?

I prefer the cheap as chips al rehab choco musk to OTC!

Judy - thank you for calling it. Read your post and felt justified in switching the CH on. It's freezing here today - I stood in a windy park for two hours and haven't quire thawed out yet...

SotD is Penhaligon's Elizabethan Rose. Surprising woody-musky rose. Very modern smelling for something dating to back to 1984.

It’s very autumnal here today. Sotd is Papillon Tobacco Rose. It’s a bit too chilly for summery scents. Though I have succumbed to a brilliant sale on Atelier des Ors. I‘ve bought two of the blue bottles... with sparkles - Riviera Drive & Pomelo Riviera . Both fantastic citrussy perfumes, one aromatic with citrus and herbs and the other Pomelo with salted Rose and smells of the sea.
