I’ve just bought a small ED on eBay. I used to wear it all the time but had totally forgotten about it.

Greenpop21 · 18/05/2020 11:06

ED smells of Christmas and birthdays as my family know it always goes down well. It’s lovely in summer as it’s light but I wish they’d make a perfume version.

SOTD M&G Dark Rum. I have massive dissertation type research project things coming in this week - HELP ME.

Thanks @teta for the website recommendation - another one I hadn't heard of! Although, to be fair, I didn't actually save any money, I just got more perfume for the same price. Grin

Greenpop21 · 18/05/2020 12:44

Where can you get samples from?

Puppylucky · 18/05/2020 19:50

Quick heads up if anyone is interested - Perfume Parlour is resuming business on 31st May - Grin

MrsPerks · 18/05/2020 20:07

Sorry to have missed calendar entries from Judy, Calm and Pears. Have now caught up - thank you, great to read. Now stalking Eau de Reglisse on eBay and wondering if that beautiful church in Barcelona is the one with the sheep?

Have had a couple of exciting deliveries today - two tiny bottles of things I've always wanted to try, but stupidly had already sprayed a couple of things earlier in the day, so am looking forward to trying properly tomorrow.

The exciting deliveries make up for my first foray into self-dentistry today (having lost part of a tooth)...not as bad as it sounds (so far...).

I’ve just been transported back to my mum’s dressing table in the 70s via another perfume thread and Fragrantica. Ma Griffe! Have not thought about that perfume since I was little and I can smell it. Scent is so powerful. Wow I’m a bit emosh now.

PearsMorgan · 19/05/2020 07:39

My mum used to wear Ma Griffe too!

MrsP I didn’t see any... the ‘new’ one, La Seu, has got geese though. Sheep would be cool (knitter).

FloraMacDonald · 19/05/2020 08:18

Avon Timeless - loving this blind buy!

Greenpop21 · 19/05/2020 08:59

Just remembered another of Mum’s-Lancome Climat. That was quite different to anything. Lovely.

yoikes · 19/05/2020 09:49

Avon timeless is amszing isnt it??? :)

Sotd next eau nude

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/05/2020 10:07

SOTD Chanel 19. mrsP how is your tooth?

Greenpop21 · 19/05/2020 10:26

I’m interested in whether you scented ladies consider yourselves to have a signature scent? I tend to mainly wear one or two until they run out.

yoikes · 19/05/2020 11:23

Hmmm...tricky one!

I asked ds2 what scent he associates with me and he said "by the fireplace" ❤

At various times in my life I've worn scents for a long time...years in some cases!

CK Obsession (18-22)
Avon Nightmusk (22-30)
Avon timeless (on and off since childhood)
KL Sun moon stars (35-40)
EL Knowing (44-46)
MMM by the fireplace (46- now)

There are just too many beautiful scents in the world to limit oneself to only 1! 😃

Greenpop21 · 19/05/2020 11:29

Yes I know what you mean and answering another thread on top 10 scents has made me realise just how many I’ve worn over the years(I’m 49) though now they do seem to fall into either woody/floral/chypre/citrus.
Today I’m wearing Bergamotto cologne from Monotheme.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/05/2020 11:35

greenpop if I could only have one, it would be Chanel 19, which I have worn forever. But I have about 40 full bottles, plus a huge biscuit tin of samples, so please don't make me have a signature scent!

OP posts:
Greenpop21 · 19/05/2020 11:37

I won’t, I promise! I think I worry about them going off if I have too many. Is that an old wive’s tale?
Chanel 19 is a favourite of mine too.

Greenpop21 · 19/05/2020 11:41

I’ve got a half full bottle of L’Occitane grapefruit and rhubarb cologne and the spray has broken. It’s a tad sweet for me but frustrating that I can’t use it. Wondering if they can do anything in store, WHEN they reopen.

yoikes · 19/05/2020 11:43

I've got 20 fbs and quite a few samples...

If you put a gun to my head today I'd pick mmm replica by the fireplace

Greenpop21 · 19/05/2020 11:45

Never heard of that. Do you store them all in their boxes away from light?

PearsMorgan · 19/05/2020 11:50

Greenpop depending on which bit of the spray is broken you could also get one of those refillable travel sprays.

Greenpop21 · 19/05/2020 11:53

Thanks @pears but I can’t actually get into the bottle otherwise I’d just splash it on.
Just googled those mmm scents. I’ve clearly a lot to learn!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/05/2020 12:26

I keep mine in boxes, on a shelf in the bedroom away from the window. Never had a perfume go off.

Greenpop21 · 19/05/2020 13:29

That’s good to know. I’ll feel free to unleash my spends guilt free!
