No Teta, I haven't.

Very impressed with everyone's purchases. I did buy a yak hair sweater today in the Cos sale. Do you think it's going to be itchy? Grin

teta · 11/07/2020 20:35

I'm not sure how itchy it is @MrsPerks. I've never worn yak, but I've eaten it !
In lijiang in China . It was very chewy and came in lots of different flavours 😂

MrsPerks · 11/07/2020 20:39

Grin Grin

MrsPerks · 11/07/2020 20:41

Just checked and Zoologist don't do one called Yak. Could've coordinated...

Calmasasleepycat · 11/07/2020 21:19

MrsP, I’ve never tried Diva. I shall look out for it. My Mystere doesn’t have the skankiness of Theo Fennell Scent. But perhaps mine, made in 1996, isn’t as old as your little miniature? The cumin note isn’t prominent, thankfully, as that often gives a sweatiness that I don’t like.

I never owned Magie Noire, but I had a lovely friend who wore it all the time. I tried a tester of the modern version, but it didn’t bring back any memories, so I guess it must have been badly affected by reformulations.

yoikes · 11/07/2020 21:33

Sote mmm replica by the fireplace

I've had a sort out...I'm giving my mum/sister a few of my avons (mesmerise etc) and a couple of my pp dupes.

I'm saving my samples in case I ever get to go on holiday again :(

I need to get some nice bubble bath...any recs?

KaliforniaDreamz · 11/07/2020 22:36

Yoikes Laura Mercier products are getting a lot of love over on this thread

Meanwhile i am lusting after this

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 11/07/2020 23:20

SOTD Diptyque Eau Duelle.

yoikes I like either a very cheap bubble bath (Imperial Leather marshmallow is my favourite) or very expensive oil (Aromatherapy Associates preferably, but will take REN at a push). Baths are my favourite leisure activity!

Oh, I also always buy Badedas in December because it smells like Christmas.

Have just ordered some Method bubble bath (on the basis I like the smell of their rhubarb kitchen spray and almond wood floor cleaner Grin) - anyone tried?

Greenpop21 · 12/07/2020 11:17

Oooh I didn’t know that did bubble bath. I’ve got the lavender kitchen spray and the ginger floor cleaner. Actually makes cleaning pleasant.

Calmasasleepycat · 12/07/2020 11:24

I love Method wood spray, rhubarb spray and also the clementine kitchen one. I would also recommend their shower spray (passion fruit is my favourite). I’m going to try their bathroom spray.

teta · 12/07/2020 11:35

My Hesperys perfume has just arrived from Sens Unique in France. Ordered three days ago and free delivery . Brilliantly efficient service and £30.00 cheaper then the UK price. I would really recommend. Fragrance samples in the UK ordered at the same time haven't even been sent yet .
Wow, I didn't know that Method do body wash/bubble baths. I'd better not start buying them as it would be an expensive path to go down. I tend to use the massive bottles of Savon Marseille in Rose/ verveine in Tk Maxx.
@Calmasasleepycat thank you for your pm. Absolutely no worries and perfectly understandable.

KaliforniaDreamz · 12/07/2020 12:25

love Method stuff
www.biggreensmile.com/products/method-hand-wash-designed-for-good-botanical-garden/msoapgoodbotgarden.aspx?productid=msoapgoodbotgarden&utm_source=google&utm_medium=merchant_centre&utm_term=%7Bkeyword%7D&utm_campaign=merchant_centre&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpo_-5czH6gIVgrTtCh1HMQkBEAQYBSABEgJPpvD_BwE

weirdly long link - i love this scent would like a spritz of this for daily wear.

teta i may wander off for a tk max browse now... online of course.

thisenglishlife · 12/07/2020 13:07

[Method] rhubarb kitchen spray and almond wood floor cleaner.
These smell so good and the ylang-ylang shower cleaner.
I would also recommend their shower spray (passion fruit is my favourite).
Ooh, I will keep any eye out for that

KaliforniaDreamz · 12/07/2020 15:14

do they use essential oils to get these lovely fragrances?
and do the cleaning products work? i am a bit of a bleach fiend...

does anyone know of a good alternative to l'occitane verbena shower gel? i am a bit sick of the price of it.

Greenpop21 · 12/07/2020 16:24

I think so @KaliforniaDreamz. My kitchen spray(lavender) works just as well as conventional kitchen spray and I’d notice as I have white quartz.
Try Roger Gallet shower gels. Still not cheap but can get deals online at about £5 for 200ml. Bois de orange is nice as is gingembre in winter.

teta · 12/07/2020 16:51

Try ecobeauty.shop.com . They have lemon verbena Marseille liquid soap for 4.99 for 300 MLS and also shower cream. There's none on the Tk Maxx website at the moment and not many in store yet.

thisenglishlife · 12/07/2020 18:49

does anyone know of a good alternative to l'occitane verbena shower gel? i am a bit sick of the price of it.
Not sure how good they are but M&S, The Somerset Toiletry Co. and Fun Ethic all have Lemon Verbena shower gels.

Greenpop21 · 12/07/2020 19:18

Original Source does a very zingy lemon shower gel. Perhaps save L’Occitane for the weekend.

Calmasasleepycat · 12/07/2020 19:23

SOTD Sarah Jessica Parker NYC. This mainly smells of strawberry and fruit. It is quite sweet. I love the bottle!

teta 👍😀

KaliforniaDreamz · 12/07/2020 21:13

Thank you i shall have a try of the Marseille one as i reackon that will be the closest..

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/07/2020 22:56

SOTD Heeley Sel Marin for a sunny Sunday.

OP posts:
KaliforniaDreamz · 13/07/2020 10:17

SOTD (pp) Kelly Caleche - Hermes

i can't find any verbena in M&S. Annoyingly as you know that price point would be perfect haha.

Happy Monday all.

I have just made my own moisturiser from E45 and a few drops of lavender. Must be bored.
