This weather is really strange. I was looking forward to a nice sunny day today, as forecast, but it’s quite chilly in between sunny moments.
Over the last few days, I have been wearing vintage perfumes:
Paloma Picasso - I regularly wore this to work in my twenties. It is a rich, powerful and deep floral, difficult to describe, but smells expensive. I have the modern version too, but it’s not as good.
Rochas Mystere - I wore this one in my late twenties and thirties. Heavy on the oak moss and civet, this is also a deep floral. It is so powerful and distinctive, I don’t know how I could have worn this to work but I did! 😨 I enjoy it very much but have to wear it when DH is out.
Diorella - This is new to me, bought second hand only a year or so ago. It is an oak mossy floral with lemony notes. To me the lemon is a lemon oil rather than bright citrus. I have no idea what the modern Diorella smells like, but I’m looking forward to trying it.
Today, I’m wearing Burberry Brit. On me this is all about the almond, with vanilla, citrus top notes and florals. It’s light but still lasts several hours.
All the talk about PP has made me look up their website again. I do adore some of the names. I really want to order “Arching Shrub”, which shares similar notes to JM Honeysuckle & Davana!
