I have been having a Theo Fennell Scent binge for the last few days - I love this one so much 💕

Today I’m wearing Brocard’s Russian Princess. On me it is dark fruits with toffee notes (it’s meant to be fruits and black tea!). Has anyone noticed how the Brocards have gone up in price in Bloom Perfumery? They used to be so cheap you could just add one to your order. Russian Princess is now £89! It has a beautiful bottle, though.

Sadly neither of the NR dupes are nice on me so mum will be getting them.

SOTD FM POAL. Another cold day here, and I have been really overwhelmed and weepy. I am so not onboard with “the new normal”, and sick to the back teeth of everything.

Judy, I know exactly what you mean. The atmosphere is so different to what it was at the beginning of lockdown. We could do with some positivity from the media instead of the endless carping.

I tried a sample today, Creed Royal Princess Oud. It is a perfectly acceptable classy perfume, but it’s not doing anything for me. If anyone would like the rest of the sample, I will happily pass it on.

We should have been going on our holiday today :(

SOTD Ealing Green from my 4160 samples. This is delicious, although I think I accidentally licked my wrist and now my lips feel funny.
Annoyingly, my main reason for getting more 4160 samples was for Witches and Bitches, and the Witches atomiser won't spray. Anyway, Ealing Green makes up for that disappointment.

SOTD Altaia Yu Son. It is all about citrus, orange blossom and green tea, perfect for a sunny, windy day.

I feel a bit more cheerful today. We have a daily woodpecker visitor and also some loud wrens! 💓

Great woodpecker picture Calm! Amazing that he's visiting your bird feeder. I have noisy wrens and swallows (and very noisy robins, chaffinches, blackbirds and wood pigeons), but the woodpeckers don't venture out of the woods.

Hello - newbie here! Has anybody tried les fleurs by Maya Njie? I smelled it on a stranger in the street and had to ask them what it was - I'm not that into perfume and wear the same citrus scent every day for the last 10 years! I am now the proud owner of les fleurs x

My littlest is two today, which means it's two years since I joined this thread - it was the combination of a newborn in a heatwave and the milk, sweat and various other bodily fluids that made me crave perfume for the first time in years.

SOTD was 4160 rhubarb and citrus in memory of that summer!

I got a hair appointment! They don’t open here until 15 July, and I am thrilled to be going on 25 July. I usually get it cut every five weeks - I have a blunt Louise Brooks bob with a short, heavy fringe - and it is SO long. Thank god I bought hairdressing scissors immediately lockdown was announced so I could keep on top of the fringe at least.
