Talking of rose scents, I ordered Stella in the newish lighter version in the hope it was similar to discontinued L.I.L.Y but not for me, far too sweet. DD has taken it now so not wasted.

@Boglins I loved Diorella. It always used to be in dog tooth.

Sotd is Marina Barcenilla's The Perfume Garden. It's a spicy Rose with sandalwood and perfect for this chilly day.
Has anyone on this thread tried Idle perfume by Romilly Wilde ? Marina Barcenilla is the perfumer for this and I would love to know how it smells.

That sounds nice @teta. Going to force myself to do body combat and might go for beyond Rose after my shower which is the closest sounding one I have

I promised myself no more blind buys, unless they're cheap like Avon. I really really like the sound of Damn Rebel Witches. But I tend not to love 4160 fragrances. If I'm going to spend £50 is this the best fragrance to spend it on? Or should I wait to try Tauers Desert Morocain?

Flora - I've just retried Damn Rebel Bitches (which is a great boozy, nutty comfort scent) - but I'd hang on and try the Tauer, as it is outstanding.

Flora - sorry, confused my Bitches and Witches. Have just tried Damn Rebel Witches now, too - boozy, with a dirty/earthy opening (mushroom?) followed by a prominent green, higher pitched cedar, which then settles into a buzzy woody-green.

Absolutely beautiful @MrsPerks. The flowers are so packed together they almost look like hydrangea heads.
Sotd is Le Parfum de Therese. I like this so much better then the vintage Diorella . The Diorella reminds me of L Eau d'artisan because of it's basil. The Givenchy lll has a strong persistent dry note at the beginning which I think may be Galbanum and myrrh?

It's grown to something approaching 8m by 8m in less that 10 years...they weren't joking when they described it as vigorous...

Have you tried vintage Diorama, Teta? Harder to get hold of, but related to LePd'T, (and Femme) but in a warmer, (less cerebral, more feel-good kaleidoscopic explosion of all possible fruit-floral loveliness) sort of way.

Interesting that you mention the basil in Diorella. I do like a basil/citrus combo - brings Eau de Sud to mind. Now applying some vintage Givenchy III to keep you company.

Prompted by flora I dug out my wee bottle of Tauer LDDM - I realise the lid has a crack and half of it has evaporated! Anyway, that is today’s SOTD for another miserable wet day.

I've ordered samples of Bitches & Witches, and a few other things from 4160. I'm half boring myself wearing Scherzo, Black Calamus & Vetiver Insolent on rotation, but I also think they are the most perfect fragrances ever.

Flora, but more of a 30' herbaceous waterfall than a bush...

My L'AdDM has evaporated too, Judy .
