Tell me about Hush clothes

Just that really. With this lockdown I have realised I don’t have any nice comfy relaxing clothes. I have old tracksuit bottoms with paint stains and that is it. I obviously spend too much time in work clothes.

What is the fit like with hush and do you recommend. Thanks all.

I have some hush tracksuit bottoms. I love them. I would say they come up a bit large - depends how baggy you like them.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/04/2020 13:55

They have really nice knitwear, but it washes badly in my experience, which is a real shame. Definitely size down, I’m a 10, and size small is plenty big. I think it is very expensive for the quality.

BlueLadybird · 14/04/2020 13:58

I have only bought dresses from Hush (mostly work) but I really like them. Quality is good but not amazing. Definitely size down, I wore my normal size at full term pregnancy although the styles I was wearing were baggy.

georgialondon · 14/04/2020 14:06

Their clothes come up really big.

ZaraW · 14/04/2020 14:21

The quality is not good on several items I've bought. There are so many threads on Hush with lots of photos from posters if you search.

Richlyfruited · 14/04/2020 14:22

I have mostly sweatshirts, jeans and T shirts from Hush. Agree sizing generally comes up large.

I've seen lots of criticism on here that Hush is all about clever marketing and styling! Personally I love the designs and colours but unfortunately the quality really isn't great in my experience. I'm always very careful about following washing instructions but I've had stuff bobble and fade after a few washes. Because of this I will buy on sale but not full price!

MrsSpenserGregson · 14/04/2020 14:27

I've bought a few things from Hush and I agree that the sizing is MASSIVE and the quality is not great - it certainly doesn't justify the price tag. Their stuff looks beautiful on the website though!

MyBabyBoyBlue · 14/04/2020 14:35

I agree with PPs - most of the quality isnt great and the sizing is large...having said that, I am pretty much living in my Hush tracksuit bottoms, which are the comforts I've ever owned!

CadburysTastesVileNow · 14/04/2020 14:40

IME, quality is poor

Thank you for your feedback. Much appreciated.

Very poor quality. Looks great when new and like a dishrag after the first wash.

Lily193 · 14/04/2020 15:58

Terrible quality, really cheap and nasty - to be avoided.

Notredamn · 14/04/2020 16:16

Looks like crumpled, cheap rags on most people. Horrid quality. Majorly hyped by the brand itself on forums.

ZaraW · 14/04/2020 16:54

I couldn't understand the love of Hush on S&B.

CocteauTwin · 14/04/2020 19:03

I don’t agree that Hush clothing is poor quality. I have been living in their harems and boxy tees these past few weeks and they’re wearing well. I have also bought knitwear and dresses over the past few years which are also still in great shape. They can be expensive for sure but I try to wait for sales and discount codes. Sizing is definitely very generous, they only go up to size 16 and I haven’t been that size for years Confused

PenfoldsFive · 14/04/2020 19:05

I bought a shirt and it shrunk so much at the first wash I haven’t worn it since.

winterisstillcoming · 14/04/2020 19:11

I like sweaty Betty , the white company and Zara home for loungewear.

threesecrets · 14/04/2020 20:28

I am always sold by the marketing and wholesome model. The clothes themselves are expensive and don't wash well.

MoltoAgitato · 14/04/2020 20:32

I bought a jumper once and sent it straight back - it was so thin you could read a newspaper through it. Quality was atrocious, especially for the price, and forays into their concession at JL tells me it hasn’t improved.

I think they’re aiming for people who feel they aren’t quite ready for Boden/Joules. Shame about the quality because some of their stuff is nice.

TokyoSushi · 14/04/2020 20:40

I had a lovely sweatshirt from Hush, it was a treat at around £65, looked like a rag after about 2 washes 😣

BeNiceToYourSister · 14/04/2020 20:45

Terrible quantity, enormous sizing, vastly overpriced.

Winifredgoose · 14/04/2020 20:47

I like the style of their clothes. I have been disappointed by the quality of the things I have bought, given their price.

WanderingTrolley1 · 14/04/2020 20:48

Poor quality.

TheVanguardSix · 14/04/2020 20:52

I live in their joggers and have done so for years. Everything else is overpriced and the quality can be below par. But the joggers are a win, every single time. I love them! I am a total loyalist to them. But a note about the joggers: The patterned/print joggers are much, much nicer than the solid ones.
