Will we see any royals out and about anytime soon?

Agree @mrscampbellblackagain. While I liked her wedding dress, I absolutely loved her reception outfit. They looked so glam as they drove away!

Some wedding photos and some royal wedding car moments.

Was it Chris Jackson who photographed H&M's wedding? There are so many gorgeous shots in that GFY slideshow.

They really were one of the happiest couples I've ever seen on a wedding day. Love the photos of them with the pageboys and flower girls

justasking111 · 19/05/2020 19:56

Loved the evening outfit, wearing Diana`s aquamarine ring was a lovely touch. I prefer it to the sapphire and diamond one.

mathanxiety · 19/05/2020 20:04

Yes, the whole group looked very happy, I must say.

AngelaScandal · 19/05/2020 21:04

Could anyone have predicted that they would be practically estranged from the family 2 years on.

paradyning · 19/05/2020 21:54

Max in Delft. Epic earrings

Max was visiting a distribution centre for food banks. It's a Kate style dress with a wacky Max print.

People did predict it at the time if I recall correctly. Not me but I do remember talk of ‘she won’t be happy, she doesn’t know what she’s let herself in for, she’ll go back to the USA etc etc’

why do people think they are practically estranged from the family? Because they don't live in the UK? I moved to the US and left my family in Ireland (and actually they weren't that happy about it either) but I wasn't estranged. People go different ways, things change after people marry, priorities are different. The royal family public pronouncements on them have all been supportive and nice. Not one of them has said they are estranged. I find it really odd that people seemed to expect Harry to live next door to his brother and his wife for the rest of his life, doing the same things they did. Maybe his marriage won't last but maybe it will - or maybe it won't and they'll both have been happy they gave it a try.

Maxima out and about in immense earrings. I swear I had shoes like that around 1999!

Well my granny never had to make a public statement to reassure the public everyone still liked each other...

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/05/2020 09:24

Was your granny and your family one of the most famous in the world?

QueenOfTheAndals · 20/05/2020 09:24

(apols for Maxima link as I've only just seen that photos were posted yesterday. My comment about the shoes stands though!)

I love Max's bold red earrings!

I'm afraid I just can't get on board with the frilly floral dresses Kate seems to like these days. They're all far too fussy imo. I prefer crisp, clean lines.

RomaineCalm · 20/05/2020 10:07

I like the photo of Kate that was released for the Chelsea Flower Show.

Me too - as far away from the floral prints as you could get!

AngelaScandal · 20/05/2020 11:11

@QueenOfTheAndals I could be very famous 🤣

BlingLoving · 20/05/2020 12:06

I don't mind the floral print. It's the combination of floral print with fussy bows/frills/collars/sleaves as well as high necks, long length etc. It's hard to understand how someone as attractive as her can look frumpy and yet....

ajandjjmum · 20/05/2020 13:49

Actually I don't mind the florals either Bling - although I realise my previous comment implied I didn't! Whatever else, Kate always looks appropriate. And genuine - she has a lovely smile.

SenecaFallsRedux · 20/05/2020 14:21

I have to say I really dislike the floral prints, especially in combination with high necklines, long sleeves, and long skirts. Maybe I have missed something along the way, but it appears that while no one was paying attention, this Little House on the Prairie look has become even more of a thing. It can't disappear fast enough in my opinion.

As a long-time lover of all Little House on Prairie books, and having just reread the entire series (I know, odd for a 46 year old woman), I have to take umbrage at this!! Grin They might have loved a bit of poplin or whatever but when Laura was getting her first adult dresses a lot of it was about perfect tailoring and in the pictures it's all beautiful clean lines. Just saying' Grin Grin

BigGlasses · 20/05/2020 18:57

I’ve just reread the little house in the prairie series as well! (I’m 44) I love them. I wanted to check they were ok for dd to read. I also reread quite a few famous five but decided they were racist classist nonsense and dd probably shouldn’t read them. Shame I loved them as kids.
Quite a lot of fashion mentioned in little house books! ( tenuously shoehorning a fashion comment in to keep to thread theme)

AngelaScandal · 20/05/2020 19:25

@BigGlasses have you ever read the Katy series of books? Similar era, family drama. Follows a family of children into adulthood
