I had to have a new wedding ring made in platinum a few years ago after I developed and allergy to gold.

itswinetime · 07/05/2020 15:44

I quite like Kate's hair. Yes it's not the perfect blow dry we are used to but it looks healthy shiny and bouncy which is better than I can do 😂 her makeup also looks better not sure if that's because she is keeping it more simple while she does it her self 🤷🏻‍♀️. Yellow is a good colour on her especially with a tan I think in full length view the dress would be to busy for me but I have come to expect that with Kate she seems to gravitate to busy patterns!

ajandjjmum · 07/05/2020 16:04

I'm fed up of that background from Amner now - could we move to another room Wills and Kate?

thisenglishlife · 07/05/2020 16:59

My thinking exactly

QueenOfTheAndals · 07/05/2020 18:29

Yes it's not like they haven't got any other rooms!

I like the wavy hair!!

I can't wear cheap metal earrings either. If I ever do want to wear a pair I paint the posts with clear nail polish to create a barrier between the earring and my ear.

Obv do it a few hours before you put the earrings in so it can dry! And probably not a good solution for allergies to rings.

Choux · 07/05/2020 22:19

I'd like to see Kate do a video call from her walk in wardrobe. She must have one and seeing it would be epic but probably not on message for her actual work!

AppleKatie · 07/05/2020 22:32

I wonder how they chose that room?

  1. not ostentatiously full of diamonds/OTT wealth
  2. furthest away from the room the kids are likely to play in...
mathanxiety · 08/05/2020 02:42

I like the dress, but KM's hair is sticking out too much in the wrong places. She should do a half pony tail or stick to straighter hair if there's nobody there to do it for her. Full, wavy hair is very hard to do yourself.

itswinetime · 08/05/2020 09:50

I wonder how they chose that room?

It be To do with the internet I guess they don't seem to have all the problems of freezing ect a lot of us have so maybe that is the room with best connection or a secure connection?

In fairness I'm pretty guilty of always FaceTiming/video chatting from the same spot. My family are so bored of the white wall behind my nieces and nephews have sent pictures to decorate it Grin

LadyEloise · 08/05/2020 10:06

I pick a spot where it looks nice and tidy Smilebehind me to Zoom and Face Time.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 08/05/2020 10:07

If I didn’t know better itswinetime I’d think you were me Grin It’s just where I’m most comfortable & the best WiFi- maybe the same for them.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/05/2020 10:40

The royals and their knickknacks. I'm always most interested in who's in the frames photos behind them!

I’m enjoying the fact that the same chicken Diana and Charles posed in front of in 1985 at Kensington is behind Camilla at Clarence House in 2013.

latedecember1963 · 08/05/2020 11:38

In the 1946 photo of Princess Elizabeth there's one of the infamous electic fires.

thisenglishlife · 08/05/2020 13:53

Re Amner - I think they've picked the plainest room with the plainest 'panel' behind so that the tabloids don't do a knick knack analysis. 😂

AppleKatie · 08/05/2020 14:11

I’d like to think they don’t have so much expensive tat collecting dust but I suppose we’ll never know!

thisenglishlife · 08/05/2020 15:31

Probably not, being much younger than the other royals (and with three young children).

iknowimcoming · 08/05/2020 16:46

Loved the video of Charles and Camilla laying wreath/flowers today, Camilla looked like she was shaking not sure with nerves or otherwise but looked lovely, it was actually beautifully poignant with just the two of them and the piper, I thought.

LadyEloise · 08/05/2020 16:54

For some reason QueenoftheAndals, the one photo I would have liked to see re the inside of the Royal homes and their knick knacks was Princess Anne's and it didn't download.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 08/05/2020 17:15

I liked Camilla’s outfit today.

FATEdestiny · 08/05/2020 18:02

2 days late, but 6th May was the 60th anniversary if Princess Margaret's marriage to Lord Snowdon. One of my top 5 favourite wedding dresses. More pictures here:

Picked out this one because - is that Prince Philip? Did he give Margaret away?

Royal style in the time of corona
Horsemad · 08/05/2020 18:36

Yes PP did give PM away.

QueenOfTheAndals · 08/05/2020 18:59

@LadyEloise I'd imagine lots of dark wood and horsey memorabilia!

OP posts:
QueenOfTheAndals · 08/05/2020 19:00

Margaret's dress was beautiful and timeless. Her DiL wore a similar design when she married.
