Will we see any royals out and about anytime soon?

Archie looked cute. I thought he had very long legs.
It was a lovely video.

Horsemad · 06/05/2020 17:53

Loved the video, liked how natural they seem as parents, compared to the stiff formality of previous royal parenting we've seen. 🙂

Gooseysgirl · 06/05/2020 18:12

That video was so cute!! Well done to Meghan for getting to the end... I probably would have given up 😄

Maxima sporting quite a gaucho look there at the Dutch Remembrance Day ceremony.

Archie wasn't buying that book, and to be fair to him it's a book that goes way over the heads of most children under about age 3.

SenecaFallsRedux · 06/05/2020 21:52

Archie is adorable. At the end of the video it sounded as though he might have been saying Da Da, but it might have been his version of "duck."

DevonUkelele · 06/05/2020 22:34

I thought Archie looked a lot like his grandpa Tom, especially around the forehead. Which could make things awkward.

I also liked meghan's denim shirt. Didn't notice the show of leg - I will have to go back for a rewatch.

I seem allergic to any earrings that aren't made from 24 carat gold! I can't wear them for more than a couple of hours without my earlobes getting irritated but my gold ones I can wear for weeks on end.

You need something heavy like what CPV was wearing the other day

Your ears are snobbish @QueenOfTheAndals

I wore some flashing earrings one xmas, present from DC. Within a couple of hours my ears started to itch it drove me crazy I had to sneakily take them out in the end. Whatever the metal was I could not wear it in my ears.

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/05/2020 23:08

I gather that the earring sensitivity thing is not uncommon in Asian women. Something to do with us having our ears pierced as babies apparently!

I have the earring sensitivity too @QueenOfTheAndals. I can only wear high quality gold.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 07/05/2020 08:24

Me too. One of my dcs has the same issue, the other doesn’t. That’s my excuse anyway & I'm sticking to it.

BlingLoving · 07/05/2020 10:02

Weirdly, my ear ring sensitivity is completely random but I do know that some types of silver seem to be a problem, but not all. Also, this is all since having DC. Pre dc I could wear earrings made from fish hooks no problem!!!

When random ear rings I've worn before start giving me problems I usually do aggressive surgical spirit washes on them and my ears which seems to help. Like something has got on them and is annoying me.

hopeishere · 07/05/2020 11:21

Kate's launching a photo comp today. It's a great idea - people's pics of this time.

RomaineCalm · 07/05/2020 12:19

Fortunately for our bank balance my ears are happy with cheap earrings and all metals.

When I first had them pierced many, many years ago there was a trend for (horrible) plastic earrings so I can only assume that my lobes felt that anything after that was an improvement. Confused

mrscampbellblackagain · 07/05/2020 12:23

I have randomly started having a reaction to a platinum ring I have worn for years on my right hand. It is a raindance ring and I think my constant hand washing means soap is getting behind it - is very odd.

I can only wear platinum or gold in my ears - I used to be able to wear anything but not any more.

thisenglishlife · 07/05/2020 12:35

Big hair today! Kate's dress is from Raey.

I don't want kate to take this the wrong way, but I think if she's doing her hair herself she should stick to the styles of her youth and get the straighteners out! I just don't think she can nail the bouncy waves when doing it alone. (and don't get me wrong, I sympathise - I can't do it either and when I win the lottery will be having a hairdresser come to my house for blow dries at least once a week).

I also hate that dress with the high high neckline but I know it's very popular.

I'm looking forward to watching the interview though. I think she does this kind of thing really well usually.

mrscampbellblackagain · 07/05/2020 12:47

Agree re the hair @blingloving.

It is odd as I can straighten my hair well and like how the hairdresser does the messy wave thing but when I try it at home it is a disaster.

RomaineCalm · 07/05/2020 12:52

I can't do the bouncy hair myself either - it just kinks in odd places and doesn't look styled.

I liked the yellow top in the first picture and thought it looked lovely. Much less keen on it as a whole dress.

BlingLoving · 07/05/2020 12:58

See Kate - it's not just you! And your standards are high as you're used to fabulous blow drying regularly!

Agree - I can straighten or get a fairly decent bit of movement with a bit of a curl at the end or whatever. But big bouncy is completely beyond me when I'm doing it myself. If I get a bit of wave at all when doing alone I consider myself doing extremely well.

thisenglishlife · 07/05/2020 13:06

I think she did a good job 😂 It's a style that would have looked better on longer hair though.

justasking111 · 07/05/2020 14:00

Has anyone seen the instagram videos of celebrities in lockdown, their hair is not great either. The only way to achieve this is for someone else to do it. Kate is doing great.

SenecaFallsRedux · 07/05/2020 14:49

Thanks to YouTube and Amazon, I have recently discovered the joys of a blow dryer/brush combo styler. It really does give professional-looking blowout results for my coarse wavy hair.
