Will we see any royals out and about anytime soon?

Little Sarah's coat looks remarkably like something Kate would wear today, except maybe not as short!

The royal smile? I don't think a smile can be royal.
She looks very very like Anne.

frugalkitty · 01/05/2020 23:41

I agree, I thought she bears a resemblance to Sarah Chatto as well.

BigGlasses · 02/05/2020 00:13

I think her mouth is very like Sarah Chatto. The eyes I’m not sure who she takes after, but are striking.

Happy fifth birthday to Princess Charlotte!

Comparison to Lady Sarah

Sweet Charlotte Smile. She has a deep look to her.

Hope she managed to have a lot of fun on her birthday despite all that's going on.

I think the difference between the legs is what Meghan does with her feet. Kate keeps hers at five to one while Meghan turns hers in slightly or plants them parallel to each other. If she turns her toes out then her knees are together.

mathanxiety · 02/05/2020 01:23

I think she's the dead spit of Sarah Chatto.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 02/05/2020 07:09

Ahh! What lovely lovely photos of Charlotte. Definitely a bit of Sarah about her. I’d never noticed before.

mrscampbellblackagain · 02/05/2020 08:16

Sweet photos - saw a comparison of her and William when he was younger and the resemblance is uncanny.

QueenOfTheAndals · 02/05/2020 08:23

Yes, I think she's the only one of them who looks like William's side of the family. George is Pa Middleton 2.0 and Louis is very like Kate, who resembles Carole more with the passing of each year.

Agree Queen!

The royal smile? I don't think a smile can be royal.
I only meant it looks similar to other members of the royal family...

LadyEloise · 02/05/2020 10:57

Oh my !!!
The resemblance to Sarah Chatto is uncanny.

blueskys72 · 02/05/2020 11:22

What is the relationship between Charlotte and Sarah? Sarah is Charlotte's grandfather's cousin, so is she a second/third cousin? Or a cousin x-times removed?

BlingLoving · 02/05/2020 12:09

The photo comparison with Sarah Chatto is bizarre. But I hope that Charlotte changes more as she grows older as, without wanting to be negative about anyone, I think Sarah isn't as attractive as other women in her family.

As this is S&B though, what was Charlotte wearing!? Grin. Honestly, I get the old fashioned thing that Kate likes for the kids, but that was a monstrosity.

Gooseysgirl · 02/05/2020 12:17

She is a beautiful little girl and they are lovely photos! The dress is hideous in my view 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I'm sure she brought great joy to those she was delivering to 🥰

AppleKatie · 02/05/2020 12:23

The dress is too fussy for my taste. I can’t get on with big frills on kids, just gets in the way of playing/exploring surely?

She looks like a child model though.

LadyEloise · 02/05/2020 12:23

She is a first cousin twice removed. I think.

iknowimcoming · 02/05/2020 12:29

I think charlottes dress would have been much better without the school uniform-esque grey woolly tights! But maybe it was a chilly day Confused

Ninkanink · 02/05/2020 12:44

I like Charlotte’s dress a lot. But I tend to like the old fashioned aesthetic.

I doubt she’s dressed in frills when she’s off out to play in the park, but for days out or events that are to be photographed I think it looks nice.

paradyning · 02/05/2020 12:56

They've trussed her up as the ghost of a Victorian again.
I hope she rebels and becomes a goth or something. She has a rebellious glint in her eyes I think.

paradyning · 02/05/2020 13:03

Seriously though, I think they do it so that they can keep the craziness around what clothes she is wearing to a minimum. If she went out wearing what I imagine she normally wears, such as Boden or whatever, there would be the same level of craziness seen as with Kate's clothes or MM's clothes. I imagine that's what they're trying to avoid.

justasking111 · 02/05/2020 13:06

I thought the queen when I saw the smile, of course Sarah Chatto is from the same blood as the two sisters.

I love to see family resemblances.

Ninkanink · 02/05/2020 13:07

Yes quite. And maybe the children aren’t so recognisable in their day-to day clothing either. Probably allows them a little more breathing space when out and about.

But I genuinely like the clothing. If I had a daughter again these days I’d probably dress her similarly at least some of the time. Really don’t see what’s so awful or hideous about it.

justasking111 · 02/05/2020 13:17

Rebellion, goth. Gosh strong words. Little girls get dressed by mummy until they are much older. Party clothes whatever mummy wants until one day they start shopping for themselves.
