I love these sea salt sandals buy both dh and dd say they are somewhat granified and not stylish. What does everyone think? Also do you prefer the black or tan colour?

Granified. Nowt wrong with granny sandals though if that's the look you are rocking.

Dinomum2 · 09/04/2020 14:52

I like the tan best. I'm 29 and would wear them x

pilates · 09/04/2020 14:52

Sensible granny shoes

PARunnerGirl · 09/04/2020 14:53

I did attach photos but they don’t seem to have loaded

Terralee · 09/04/2020 14:53

Granny. Sorry.

isitaline97 · 09/04/2020 14:55

I like them! I have some similar, I'm 22 😂

BumbleBeee69 · 09/04/2020 14:55

I am 41 so not quite granny territory yet! Seems to be a very mixed opinion either one way or another. The people that are saying granny style, would you be able to post an example of what you would class as a stylish day time sandal please?

PA they do look a bit frumpy to me - sorry.

I generally don't like sandals/ open toes so I will only wear them when there's not much choice.

I'll wear flip flops to the beach, I've only ever found 2 pairs of sandals I've liked and they've both had it now.

Terralee · 09/04/2020 15:03

I'm 43. I get my flat sandals from eg Accessorize or River Island or similar shops as they are usually quite attractive looking.

I have a really comfortable nice black & gold roman style pair that I got in River Island last year which I can walk a long way in.

I also like pretty flip flops eg Havianas or just Accessorize.

EasterBuns · 09/04/2020 15:05

Just don’t wear them with tan tights, that would make them granny.

OhLook · 09/04/2020 15:05

What about these?

OhLook · 09/04/2020 15:06

Or these?

OhLook · 09/04/2020 15:08

Or even these

DameXanaduBramble · 09/04/2020 15:09

I wear havaianas and Palamairas, which are super comfy and look good.

PARunnerGirl · 09/04/2020 15:09

Omg OhLook, I have them too but in black! 😂 I would say the saltwaters are comfier and better quality but there Isn’t much in it to be honest.

I mean I get what people are saying about flip flops or the sort of sandals you could buy in Accessorize or River Island, but you couldn’t wear them, for example, walking around on holiday for miles and miles. Fine for a wander about town or shopping or something. Depends what you need them for, OP.

I also like my Palmairas and Solillas sandals but again, I couldn’t walk miles and miles in them.

CoffeeRunner · 09/04/2020 15:10

I would wear them. I’m 44, not a granny, but do definitely go for comfort over fashion.

Not sure that’s a very helpful answer!

PARunnerGirl · 09/04/2020 15:11

It’s the first ones of OhLook’s I have Smile

Terralee · 09/04/2020 15:16

The first pair are my black RI sandals I've walked miles in (I don't drive), the second pair are a nice Accessorize pair

They are granny, but in a cool way.

PerditaDreamsofFairHorses · 09/04/2020 15:18

You see the thing about these sandals and many other like them, IMHO, is that if you're very cool, you can get away with them. If, like me, you are clearly not cool, then yes you will look like a granny. So some very chic, with Japanese/Scandi style is going to look stylish. I would look like my mum (love you, Mum, but you know, you are in your 70s).

BeTheHokeyMan · 09/04/2020 15:19

All the insta yummy mummies wear them ! I was sick of the sight of them last summer they were everywhere online

PenfoldsFive · 09/04/2020 15:25

Are we talking Seasalt or Saltwater? As far as I know, only one of those can go in water.
