1, by a country mile. It's much more elegant and chic. 2 looks a bit fussy and a bit mumsy.

Redwoodmaz · 06/04/2020 14:53

First one.

Neither I'm afraid Blush

I think number 1 looks cheap and tacky and number 2 looks old fashioned.

My friend had a lovely ring made from her old stone and melted down gold by a jeweller called Isabella Day Goldsmith (she's on Facebook) and it is very original and stunning.

It’s quite difficult to design a ring with one fairly small stone and a few tiny diamonds. The two designs here are fairly straightforward ones. To make something stunning, far more money would need to be spent on diamonds or other stones and the setting. This greatly adds to the price.

BubblesBuddy · 06/04/2020 17:16

I like the Isabella Day designs but she says most clients spend £2000. Even if you supply the stones, you are talking about a considerable investment but I know what I would do! Spend the money!

I paid £450 for my existing wedding nam and to have three stones set into it using a brochure fitting via an independent jeweller.

I like it but I love my hand made beautiful ring from a different jewellers which was designed by them and isn't standard. Cost a lot more though.

Nam ??? Ring

Oblomov20 · 06/04/2020 17:20

Definitely 1.
2 is old fashioned.

1 is delicate and I would have a sturdier/thicker band
2 looks like one of those rigs you ding on a box in shops with stretchy string to lift and try on

CorianderLord · 06/04/2020 17:26

1 but I don't overly like either

Dozer · 06/04/2020 17:27

Not a fan of either, but of the two much prefer 1.

What about a halo?

SunshineCake · 06/04/2020 17:28

The one with the white background.

HermioneWeasley · 06/04/2020 19:24

With both those setting the little stones will fall out and you’ll be forever replacing them at £50 a go.

Go for a simple setting that will be low maintenance and not snag on everything

Of course the stones won’t fall out if it’s well made!
