Some fab outfits today! Everyone's looking great.

Cold and grey here again. I've had this dress for years but it's another one I rarely wear so trying it out again.

Dress - Boden; top - M&S (thermal! With sparkles Smile) And I've now added a long dark red cardigan as I'm soooo cold! Plus DMs when we go for a walk later.

Loving the jumpsuits, dungarees and belts. Excellent outfits and inspiration as always.

I wore normal clothes on my dog walk today and remembered why I normally wear jeans and dubarrys!

So, top quite possibly from Amazon ages ago
Jeans - very old bootlegs that I found at the back of my wardrobe that wore in the 2000’s when I was young (not that young actually) and trendy - they are a brand called fiorenttia (sp?) and probably from miss sixty
Belt - same era, Topshop possibly
Muddy trainers - Whistles brand new via charity shop just before lockdown.

I’ve not worn bootleg jeans for.. oh 15? years so felt rather like a late 20s girl rather than mum jeans.

Very low rise. I think I used to wear them with very small tops and very high pointy boots.

@crazyspaniellady I love your boots. My dog walking ones look like they have been pulled out of a swamp.

What are the soles like? I ride in mine when I'm being lazy.

crazyspaniellady · 30/04/2020 17:52

@Shannith Thank you! They’re actually very scruffy looking in the flesh, they’ve done me 3 winters now though! I also have Dubarrys and prefer these to my Galways, they’re fully lined so keep my feel much warmer!
The sole is a vibram sole, quite thick but very durable and still flexible, I would absolutely recommend anything from fairfax and favor!

Ski37 · 30/04/2020 19:32

Another lurker here but love seeing everyone’s outfits. I’ve recently bought the Sweaty Betty x Fern Cotton sweatshirt after seeing it on @itssquidstella and I love it. I’ll post a pic when I wear it. I’m an NHS worker so at the moment I’m in scrubs during the day and wearing my oldest clothes that can go through a hot wash to get to and from work so not really worth a photo.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 30/04/2020 19:44

Yikes, @crazyspaniellady! Even with my head cut off? But thank you!

Shannith · 30/04/2020 19:53

@crazyspaniellady right I've looked at your boots online and I want them.

Wonder if I could accidentally lose one of my dubarrys in a muddy field incident Grin

Might have to sell the horse to afford them mind...

MerlinsButler · 30/04/2020 21:11

Only a trip to the supermarket today so casual outfit. excuse the bad photo can't get to the other mirror. Navy top Principles. Jeans mint velvet and I had my Hush boots from yesterday on.

Ordered some lovely modal / lace camisole tops from Jigsaw which arrived today. Love them and very impressed with the packaging. Not a piece of plastic in sight.

Loving all the outfits and feeling left out of the dungaree love. Am definitely going to have to look for some - so much for shopping my wardrobe 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I’ve cracked and ordered some denim dungarees. It feels a bit rebellious because I know DH will hate them (even more than he dislikes my jumpsuits). I’ve also ordered some more brightly coloured trousers and some sandals.

No meetings today. So I’m not even pretending to dress for the office.

Shirt: H&M
Jeans: Mint Velvet
Trainers: Jigsaw

Sooverthemill · 01/05/2020 09:03

Ooh @OublietteBravo! You rebel! Which ones? I keep looking at different Ines now.

Got in my Hush charity tee . If anyone else thinking of getting it, it comes up big. Normally I'd have returned for a smaller size but hey the PO is shut!

Anyone ever cut off the bottom of jeans? Am thinking of doing that to these. I like shape but they are too long and I dint wear them in the winter. Any tips?

Tee: hush (£10 to NHS charities)
Jeans: mint velvet
Sandals: air and grace
Sweatshirt: hush

I’m channeling my inner toddler, and gone for these ones. I’ve looked at the measurements and I think age 15-16 should fit me.

happytobemrsg · 01/05/2020 09:07

Thanks @itssquidstella! I’ve never been called chic before 😊 L&Y has discontinued the belt toast was wearing - I had to find mine on eBay. They do still have the tan on on their website though - £7 down from £12.

Ooo what dungarees have you ordered @OublietteBravo? If I asked DH what his favourite outfit of mine was I doubt he’d say my dungarees or jumpsuits either 😂

Really like your outfit today @Softpebbles, especially the cardigan. It’s a gorgeous colour

OP posts:
EllaPaella · 01/05/2020 09:33

I really like those @OublietteBravo - I've ordered from Jonnieb before and find 15-16 fine for a size 10 so hopefully they should be a good fit! Look forward to seeing them.

@Sooverthemill is the Hush sweater new? I love it. So summery.

Comfort wear for me again, suns shining at the moment so dog walk and gardening it is once home school is done.
Sweaty Betty Hoodie, Hush Jeans, too New Look and Veja trainers

Love the dungarees @OublietteBravo! Especially the rainbow & lining.

Showed DH today’s dungarees & he pulled a face & said the print is too childish. There’s goes my dreams for the sloths... 😢

Jumper: Only
Dungarees: Run & Fly

@Ellapaella I have ordered the SB hoody! I went for a 10. How is the sizing?

It’s summer sandals I am struggling to find and love. My Birkenstock’s arrived but I am not keen.

Sickoffamilydrama · 01/05/2020 10:23

I love the 🦊 @happytobemrsg. I need a chunky belt too I tried my red jumpsuit with one of my husband's belt it didn't look bad but is not quite right.
@Sooverthemill I'd continue rolling those jeans and wear with utility type boots in the winter, I have done rubbish jobs with taking jeans up it is always noticeable. Possibly cause I did a rushed job!

This morning I feel like I've gone back to the 90s with a t-shirt underneath a strappy top, although it always used to be those slip dresses that I could never wear as bias cut looks terrible with big hips.

Picture of red jumpsuit with belt so you all get the idea.
Today's outfit
T shirt Rapuni
Jumpsuit new look

happytobemrsg · 01/05/2020 10:46

Apparently the 🦊 is now growing on DH 🙄

Bloody hot in the house today so switched to a T-shirt. I don’t think I’ll shop much at places like New Look much more in the future, but I must admit their basic T-shirt’s are very good.

@Shannith IMO they’re 100% worth the investment! I wear them all year round, they’re amazing in the snow/rain/mud.

@Judystilldreamsofhorses Oh, I hope I don’t come across overly stalker-y! 😬 I work and studied in the city centre so our paths crossed quite frequently and I’m a ridiculously observant person.

Another “just a dog walk” day today, Friday is my favourite day of the week though as it means a cosy night in with DP, usually to wind down after a wild week but now it’s our only “normal” from the time before...

Top - Joules
Jeans - Topshop Jamie jeans
Boots - Fairfax and Favor

MerlinsButler · 01/05/2020 11:48

@Soovermill I have cut jeans off before but found it was better to get a tailor to take them up. Otherwise the frayed bit annoyed me whenever I washed them. I've got a pair of mint velvet biker jeans that I need taking up as had to buy Long instead of regular so hopefully at some point the shop will reopen.

@Oubliettebravo see Now I know I am missing out on the dungarees. Absolutely love them but have never tried ordering from the kids sizing. Look forward to hearing how they fit. Love today's outfit too.

Might have to make dungaree hunting my weekend project.

@happytobemrsg love those Fox dungarees.

@crazyspaniellady love the outfit today

@Ellapaella that hoodie looks so comfy. Have you washed it yet? I had one that went all bobbly after a couple of washes so haven't bought since.

Still in my dog walking gear from earlier as it's turned to rain here so damp and muddy. Have cheered myself up with a warm almond croissant and coffee. Have video calls this afternoon and then zoom Friday drinks with family so will have to at least smarten up on top. Will post a picture later. Have a great afternoon all.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 01/05/2020 12:04

Happy Friday, everyone! I need to get my dungers on again next week, I think.

@happytobemrsg foxes are my absolute favourite animal. We saw one trotting down our street in the middle of the afternoon a few weeks ago and I was ecstatic!

@Sooverthemill If you are happy with a "raw edge" I would chop them. I have quite a few pairs of jeans with a frayed hem. I wouldn't attempt to cut and then hem though. (But I am pretty useless beyond sewing a button on, tbh.)

@crazyspaniellady God, I am SO intrigued now - presumably we live in the same city? I work in the city centre too.

Today I am 99% static, in a Topshop dress, mustard Snag tights, and my trusty Stan Smiths.

Sooverthemill · 01/05/2020 12:11

These have a frayed edge anyway and are supposed to be cropped but because I'm only 5'1 they are full length on me. I usually get my local seamstress to hem stuff that needs taking up but Because these are raw hem anyway I think I may give it a go. They aren't winter jeans imo which need to be much more substantial! And because I don't t really go out ( even before lockdown) anything I wear needs to work with trainers or slippers and I think cropped winter jeans doesn't work as an indoor look, unless with big chunky boots ( so jealous of people that get to wear those boots, I would just destroy our carpets and step on the animals). So I may give it a go! I quite like them turned up but ..
@Ellapaella yes it's a recent buy, I had the blue version which I liked so much I got this colour too. Both suit my colouring really well. X
