Cheap! 😂😂😂

itssquidstella · 25/04/2020 13:16

Happy birthday, @EllaPaella! Those tops are really pretty and summery - I'll have to check New Look out!

I hacked the sleeves off a tshirt this morning in a fit of "I hate all my clothes and have nothing to wear."

The result:

Thank you!

@Ellapaella glad you had a lovely day, sometimes the best things come from necessity and it's sounded fab
Like the New Look haul too, some good things there. I've had a few things arrive: gap jeans and a top, Boden trousers, George trousers and my fat face dungarees. Far too much but I need to try it all on and decide. I feel, like I'm getting my style mojo back after years of getting what I thought I should wear but actually I'm going back to a simpler style I used to have before . It's all good. The weather may be warming up but DH has gone to bed feeling rough so we won't be turning the compost heap this afternoon! Yay I can relax

Sooverthemill · 25/04/2020 13:27

Ooh @itssquidstella that looks great

EllaPaella · 25/04/2020 13:36

@Sooverthemill looking forward to seeing your FatFace dungarees

itssquidstella · 25/04/2020 13:41

@Sooverthemill I also really like your Boden shirt, it suits you 😊

Terralee · 25/04/2020 13:58

@Ellapaella happy birthday, like your New Look tops.

And I like all the dresses shown so far.

Today I'm wearing the same as last night; joggers, tee & ribbed cropped cardi. It's a bit chilly here.

I'm waiting for some indigo denim short shorts I ordered from Dorothy Perkins to arrive, they had money off so were only £11.20.

Sooverthemill · 25/04/2020 14:22

Thanks for the shirt love. It was bought as a basic and I cannot work out why I didn't buy one in every colour as I usually do when I love something ( look at my Bretons for example). Will do a try on later

Softpebbles · 25/04/2020 17:39

@Sooverthemill I have denim dungarees from fat face. Last years so don’t know if they are the same. Will find a picture!

Softpebbles · 25/04/2020 17:42

This was the other week!

EllaPaella · 25/04/2020 17:45

They look fab pebbles

Sooverthemill · 26/04/2020 06:47

@Softpebbles ooh Like a lot. These are the wide leg ones. Must try in later when everyone awake and it's not just me and the bloody dogs barking at 5.15!

Sooverthemill · 26/04/2020 09:01

New fat face dungarees. OMG I love them and now I want to try the other style. For info I sized up to a 10 as the reviews said they come up a little small ( very high waist) and they seem a perfect fit to me. I really like them DH hasn't seen them yet as he's taken dogs out and I assume I shall be met with his usual sarcasm about CBeebies...
For info the tee is arket basic round neck, organic cotton. Love these, bought 3 in different colours based on Emma Hills recommendation ( so fed up with saggy tees so I searched best white tee). £15 each isn't cheap but less than hush and very good, will last for several years I think.

Other try on
Gap cropped carpenter jeans £24 in sale. I really like these too. Says ecru but more cafe creme I think . Definitely a keeper
Gap utility cropped jeans ( not on me!) I do like, takes me back to the 70s. I think I will keep as I like them a lot and only £24 in sale. Possibly will get more wear in autumn? Heavy soft washed denim.

I also had wide leg white linen from Boden which I like a lot BUT, when will I wear them.. definitely a holiday wear and possibly a little small ( interesting as the cargos I've worn twice this week are Boden and same 8P and a brilliant fit and last year I got linen trousers fromBoden and sized down to a 6! )So I will think. The PO isn't open until next week anyway.

It's looking like it will be warm, I have seeds to sow and a compost bin to empty and a delivery of roast chicken for dinner tonight. With a yummy bottle of wine kind neighbours bought. Enjoy the day everyone ( btw how on earth are you all wearing vests and shorts and sleeveless dresses? Everyday I add a sweatshirt!)

itssquidstella · 26/04/2020 09:33

@Softpebbles those are great dungarees! Are they wide or narrow leg?

Loving your new haul, @Sooverthemill. The T-shirt with the ampersand is really cool!

Sooverthemill · 26/04/2020 09:35

@itssquidstella the ampersand tee is a few years old from hush. I love it but tend to save it for best. Not sure why!
They are wide leg here

Sooverthemill · 26/04/2020 09:36

Oh and thank you!

Sickoffamilydrama · 26/04/2020 11:49

Been a bit quiet the last few days. We've been sorting out our garden so I've spent most of my time covered in dirt in holey, old leggings.

Comfy clothes today. Got some work to catch up on, then planning to spend the rest of the day playing with DS in the garden. Will take the dogs out for a long walk when it cools off later, too.

T-shirt - Gap
Trousers - Lucy & Yak Alexas
Belt - Lucy & Yak

@itssquidstella might have to take scissors to my t-shirts! Looks great.

Loving the dungarees everyone

Today I'm going dress again.
Dress - Next - yes it has pockets and button down and a split and an awesome print.
Belt - one I've had forever - hate tie ones that come with dresses
Boots - simply be

Love your haul @Sooverthemill - do you have a link for the T-shirt? I love it but can't find it on the Arket website.

EllaPaella · 26/04/2020 12:42

Thank you @Sickoffamilydrama 😘
I love your skirt. The outfit is lovely.

Sooverthemill · 26/04/2020 12:47

@Ellapaella the arket t shirt is here in all its colours!
The ampersand tee is old hush

itssquidstella · 26/04/2020 15:37

Today I'm wearing some rather snazzy trousers I had made in Uganda a couple of years ago (sorry), and an Arket vest top.
