I went to Althorp some years back, tbh I can't remember if the wedding dress was there or not.

I got a train from London and then a public bus to Althorp from the station.
There were about only 4or 5 women on the bus who got off at Althorp.
I felt sad because after all the public hysteria when she died, it felt like she was largely forgotten.
I'm so glad I went when I did. It was a lovely day.

It's a beautiful estate and quiet little village isn't it LadyE? Thatched cottages ect. But there's no difference from any of the many ££££ estates round here. I drive past those big gates about once or twice a month and every single time i slow down just a touch and glance up the drive (no idea what i expect to see !!)(i never see anything) and i remember the pictures on the news of the absolute SEA of flowers and candles that spilled out as far as the road in those weeks.

In royal baby news, Queen Jetsun has just had another boy.

HM has issued a message about the current situation- some posters yesterday were wondering if she would.

@Laiste and @LadyEloise, I started work in Northampton the Monday after she died and was living in Rugby at the time. My daily commute took me past Althorpe - the novelty of sitting in queues of coaches and cars that just stopped soon wore off!!

I’m a couple of years younger than Diana & we all gasped watching it on tv when she stepped out of the coach. It was such a fairy tale princess dress & very 80’s!

However, your suffering is of course NOTHING compared to how Princess MAdeleine is suffering at the moment, according to Svensk Damtidning. First of all, Trump has stopped all flights so she can't come to Sweden - that in itself is of course horrendous. Also, since advice is to avoid gatherings of ten people or more she is forced to skip her regular mommy group. And the family can't make weekend visits to the beach resort Faena hotel, which they love. It just doesn't bear thinking about and I hope you understand that things are not so bad for you after all

Just looked at the photos of Madeleine and she almost unrecognisable! I think it's the 90s brows. CPV looks pretty much the same and Carl Philip has only improved with age and facial hair.
