Anything you have found a waste of money and wish you didn’t purchase, I’ll start Kevin A contour pallet! Looks grey on my face

OP posts:
Wineloffa · 22/02/2020 20:55

CT Magic Cream. It made my eyes water and gave me spots. And for £70, the packaging was so cheap and nasty! It didn’t feel like a luxury product at all. So disappointing..

MrsMGE · 22/02/2020 21:03

Nuxe serums, terrible for my skin, overpriced and don't smell nice!

Nothing from Bare Minerals or Too Faced has ever wowed me and I never find their products last well or look fresh after a few hours. Don't buy them anymore.

Re Charlotte Tilbury, I don't get the hype at all and most of her lip products smell like my nan's lipsticks that have gone out of date. Big fan of Clarins lipsticks though 🙌

Mamazita · 22/02/2020 21:16

For me it’s Clinique moisture surge, did nothing for my skin.

Summer Fridays jet lag mask. It’s raved about on Instagram and did sweet FA to my skin. Far too expensive for what it is. Same for glow recipe watermelon sleeping mask

Fedupwithmyhouse · 22/02/2020 21:29

Funny, Clinique moisture surge (intense) is the only moisturiser that doesn’t leave my face looking like a piece of dough that’s been left uncovered too long Grin

1forAll74 · 23/02/2020 06:52

JUST WHY do people get into the hype about so called great and miracle products,, it's all just a big sell, make money stuff.and not usually very good at all. There is not a single product out there, that will make everyone look good and younger, except maybe botox,, but that is a bit questionable..

TheLadyAnneNeville · 23/02/2020 10:50

@1forAll74. I agree. I’m willing to pay more for anti-aging moisturisers but every one I’ve tried I react to. Whatever they put in these things to make a 58yr old look less tired brings the worst out in my skin. So, back to a pot of Simple at £3.99 from Savers. Thank God Boots have been very understanding and refunded my purchases.

I give up now. I have been drawn in by the “see results in 7 days/this cream took years off me” hype but a pot of something expensive that brings me out in a puffy rash definitely isn’t the way to go.

gingersausage · 23/02/2020 11:27

@1forAll74, actually there is; basic retinol, but you have to be careful with it and buy the right stuff and ensure you use SPF 50 every day.

Arschgeige · 23/02/2020 12:03

Definitely Trinny‘s miracle blur. It just sits in my wrinkles making them look even more like crevices Hmm Ashamed to say I believed the hype.
I’ve just bought one of Lisa eldridge‘s lipsticks. Hoping it’s a gem

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 23/02/2020 14:21

I'm not convinced by any of Trinny's male up tbh, I'm sure I had a set of little pots like that back in the 80s by Constance Caroll.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 23/02/2020 16:06

Trinny and her magic miracles is all over my FB. I'd believe in them more if it wasn't a facelifted botoxed lip plumped Trinny herself showing us the "miracle". Kind of defeats her objective really.

beanaseireann · 23/02/2020 16:41

A bit like Lulu and her Time Bomb products.

MrOnionsBumperRoller · 23/02/2020 18:27

Anything Charlotte Tilbury, Colour Hair Wow, The Ordinary is proving to be, well, ordinary, not at all exceptional.

MrOnionsBumperRoller · 23/02/2020 18:42

Oh and PK Elasticizer. Perhaps my hair is just beyond help even from these 'wonder products'.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 23/02/2020 18:45

Pixi glow tonjc,wrecked my skin.
Charcoal peel mask, sttetchrd my pores !

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/02/2020 21:25

PK Elasticiser works better the more you use it .
Damp hair , section off apply along the lengths and leave ( can be overnight) Then rinse .

After a few times you notice the difference .

gingersausage · 24/02/2020 12:59

PK Elasticiser is basically overpriced castor oil.

redferrari · 25/02/2020 11:25

@fedup
Aldi makes a Clinique moisture surge dupe. My friend highly recommends it. I am yet to make my trip to Aldi for this :)

Oolyram · 25/02/2020 14:44

Birchbox. I’m a sucker for the hype but most of it ends up in the bin. Such a terrible waste.

beanaseireann · 29/02/2020 16:01

Beauty Boxes are like eye shadow palettes.
Very wasteful. You only use a couple of products or colours. The others end up in landfill. Sad

KaliforniaDreamz · 29/02/2020 16:24

Clarins HydraQuench Tinted Moisturiser - awful. Trump face.
Clarins tan drops. - where, where is the tan??????
Chanel nail varnish - chips after 4 minutes, assistant told me to stop washing my hands so much.
Benefit so real mascara - clumpy shite.
Jo Malone - 9 million pounds for 9 million per cent water perfume.
i could go on.

nannymags · 09/03/2020 11:07

@NerdyBird good question I chucked a load of opened, in date, barely used stuff Last year as I couldn’t get rid of them for love nor money.

Buttybach · 09/03/2020 11:13

Anastasia Beverly Hills Subculture Pallette
It's not a good product. The fall out when you apply it is not good and it doesn't blend well at all.

Beauty products we regret..
professionalnomad · 09/03/2020 13:43

I have tried a few By Terry products. Really rubbish quality for the price tag and not pigmented enough for anything but the fairest of skin.
The Armani eye tint was a bit crap too.

professionalnomad · 09/03/2020 13:52

CT bronze and glow - the one for deep skin tones is orange!
Also her quads don't show up on darker skin either.
Benefit mascaras are pants
Bobbi Brown's eyebrow pen doesn't actually leave any pigment

EhOh · 10/03/2020 14:34

Clarins tan drops. - where, where is the tan??????

Lol!!!
