Thanks for all the lovely wishes - news was (in the context of there is no good outcome in this shit show) as good as we could have asked for. Treatment is working so we get some more time. Not enough, but some.

SOTD was 4160 White Queen which I think is a bloody masterpiece.

I had a beauty pie delivery on Saturday with a tester of their Love perfume. It's a bit powdery and a bit sweet - a very easy, inoffensive wear. Reminds me of things I've sprayed in department stores and enjoyed, but never bothered to buy.

Oh here you all are!! I thought the other thread was quiet, hadn't realised there was a new one!!

I've fallen in love with Seville a l'aube, thanks to the lovely MrsM sending me a sample, but it appears to be discontinued. Weighing up whether to take a punt on an ebay purchase at the moment. I also really like Traversee du Bosphore but was surprised to discover that it smells almost identical to Mandorlo di Sicilia on me, I think the almond aspects are magnified on my my skin.

I wore the PP version of Angel at the weekend and I know it's marmite but it really works with my skin, I couldn't stop sniffing myself!

Yoikes, my dad has macular and has been having the injections. He doesn't find them too bad and they have really helped. I'm sorry that you are going through this though, not what anyone wants!

Less than two weeks now until I launch my corporate catering pitch! I'm saving the rest of Seville a l'aube to wear for it but I did consider layering Tea Tonique and Jeux de Peau to create a tea and toast vibe!

I have a sample of under the lemon trees, but I don't think I've tried it yet. I just assumed from the name it was a summery scent so thought I'd leave it a few months. I'm away from home this week so I'll give it a try when I get back next week and report back!

I'm doing a big thing and sending a couple of my collection to a friend who is in real need of cheering up. I'm also sending a few other bits but the question with perfume is, what do i think she would like?! I'm going to think on it a little and come up with some for her, shes a good friend and isnt having a good time of things atm so i hope it will cheer her up some

SOTD has been Killer Rose by 4160 Tuesdays, big rose, do love it so and they were so good about replacing my bottle that had the tiniest of cracks in the neck, so small in fact i couldn't even photograph it but they were really good about it and replaced it without question when i contacted them, even though i never actually asked for a replacement, i was more concerned that they may have other damaged bottles which fortunately, they did not, as best they could tell! their customer service is second to none!

I wore Ffern Summer yesterday at a writing group. I did feel a bit too perfumed though, as it was a small space and I could smell it quite strongly on myself after topping up at lunchtime. No perfume yet today as I'm coercing the two 15 year olds into GCSE revision.

dowser hello, welcome to the thread. Lovely present! I like Jo Malone perfumes but they last about five seconds on my skin, with the exception of Pomegranate Noir, which I am less keen on. The Black Vetiver Cafe they used to do was a favourite of mine.

I wore L' Artisan Parfumeur Drole de Rose yesterday. I used to love this and wear it in bed every night. It's so redolent of vintage make up - lipstick and powder compacts smelling of Rose, Iris and Violet. It's another horrible cold windy day and I need some fun, apart from two grumpy revising teenagers.
