Who are you looking forward to seeing on the red carpet tonight? Who will be the best dressed? All will be revealed in a few hours time!

Meanwhile have a look at the 100 best Oscar dresses of all time, according to Vogue, or the best vintage looks. Is it hairstyles you're after? We've got those, and best makeup looks too!

whitershade no I’m with you on Charlize Theron’s dress. Said above that I think it was boring. But more then that, it just looked a little stupid to me. Slightly quirky for the sake of it but not quirky to be properly interesting.

MarshaBradyo · 10/02/2020 09:38

Yes the one shoulder dress means Renee walks around with one arm up.

I do really like Kerry’s dress below. She looks very pretty

Disfordarkchocolate · 10/02/2020 09:39

Bizarre boobs seemed to be a theme last night.

MarshaBradyo · 10/02/2020 09:40

Haven’t seen a pic of Lupita

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/02/2020 09:44

I don't think Lupita was there.

So many people who bring it weren't there.

MummyOfBoyAndGirl · 10/02/2020 09:54

Love Charlize, Penelope,

Like Janelle, Scarlett

whitershadeofpale · 10/02/2020 09:56

Sorry @DandyDuchess I missed that.

BeaStoic · 10/02/2020 10:05

Were the Clooneys not there? Amal almost always looks fab on the red carpet.

Think George is laying the foundations for a political career so maybe they're giving it a miss!

MarshaBradyo · 10/02/2020 10:09

I’m not sure Emma Stone was there, another favourite usually.

MarshaBradyo · 10/02/2020 10:09

Is he? Re George. I remember when people said that ages ago on here.

BeaStoic · 10/02/2020 10:12

Marsha - no idea. I just love the idea of President Clooney with the gorgeous Amal as First Lady Smile

MarshaBradyo · 10/02/2020 10:14

They would look good Grin

MummyOfBoyAndGirl · 10/02/2020 11:12

George as POTAS 👍👏🏻👍👏🏻👍👏🏻🤩

frugalkitty · 10/02/2020 11:28

Kim Kardashian looked like a toilet roll that had been chewed by a puppy Grin

queenofarles · 10/02/2020 11:44

Kerry Washington always looks amazing, she is so pretty.

I don’t understand Kim and her sister Kylie bods , I mean if that was truly their body shapes then Ok they have beautiful curves, but altering their shapes to look like Jessica Rabbit , Confused I don’t get it, how do they find clothes that fit ?

frugalkitty · 10/02/2020 12:11

My dream wardrobe is Olivia Pope's but I'd need Kerry Washingtons's body to wear it.....Grin

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/02/2020 12:21

I LOVED Kerry's Olivia wardrobe!

I think Olivia Colman is doing it on purpose. There’s no way she thinks her red carpet dresses are anything but stupid. It has to be a deliberate piss-take, her way of setting herself apart - because she’s a thespian, not a celebrity?

SpokeTooSoon · 10/02/2020 12:39

Disappointed in Renée’s dress.

She looks like she’s wearing a full-body plaster cast.

NarniaBanarnia · 10/02/2020 12:49

Love Penelope Cruz’s dress so much.

Janelle Monae’s fab in a different way and worked FOR HER.

Usually adore Charlize but not overwhelmed by this one. The high slit leg thing slightly overdid the ‘Amazonian’ aspect for me (though I am in awe of her height, stature and physique)

Agree Renee’s very underwhelming.

Scarlett Johansen sexy (of course) but dress itself is nothing special imo.

Really it was only Penelope Cruz who had a look I absolutely loved. Not a vintage year, for me!

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/02/2020 13:03

Did anyone see what Sandy Powell (costume designer) was wearing? She always looks great.

I agree that Olivia probably does it on purpose. I find her so thoroughly charming and interesting. Her comments before giving the award for best actor were funny and sweet.

ChainsawBear · 10/02/2020 13:31

Janelle is my best-dressed of what I've seen so far - distinctive and striking without wearing her and she didn't look like she didn't dare move lest it fall off unlike some of them

QueenOfTheAndals · 10/02/2020 13:38

Olivia looks good as a blonde though! I assume it's for a role?
