@OublietteBravo I think I prefer the blue shoes with the jacket (although I do love the red shoes, they are amazing) - I just think the red of the shoes isn't quite the same as the red in the jacket so it doesn't work
quite as well for me as the navy shoes combo.

@Talisin beautiful skirt. @cathyandclare your outfit looks lovely.

Everyone looks good as always.

I'm wearing Levi's, plain black top, monsoon cardigan.
It's so cold today ❄️🥶

@OublietteBravo I prefer the blue shoes too.

@cathyandclare love that petrol green coat. I like how you've style it both times!

Everyone else's outfits look lovely. Still down with flu so not made it out of PJs since Saturday so no outfits from me.

In happier news my stitchfix box will be here this afternoon!!!

MerlinsButler · 12/02/2020 15:59

So my stitch box has arrived.

5 items I requested a luxe / casual box with classic / timeless pieces but stated that I was happy to be stretched. Oh and specifically a black blazer. So I received:

An organic white boxy cotton tee (own brand)

A black velvet belted blazer (own brand)

A navy utility top (Mint Velvet)

Black jersey wife leg trousers (Great Plains)

Navy jersey peg trouser ( Mauvette)

I'm definitely keeping the white tee and the Mint Velvet utility shirt.

I do love the black velvet blazer but I might need to exchange for a 12. But I'm not sure as I quite like the 10 but a bit right across the bust I think.

The trousers threw me a bit. I'm inspired by @OublietteBravo to keep the navy trousers I think but not sure.

The wide leg trousers are lovely - theyre pleated and so comfy but not sure how to style them shoes wise. Hmm decisions decisions.

Overall very impressed. They've obviously took note of my selections and comments and they give cute little cards with styling suggestions for each piece.

Would appreciate any suggestions on the trousers front.

Opinions welcome.

@MerlinsButler wow that blazer 😍

Re the trousers: I really like the first pair, the cut and shape suits you a lot.
Not so sure about the wide leg ones, they don't elongate your leg, I think they would be better in a cropped style? If you were to keep them I think you should wear with a v neck top rather than crew neck. With a white V neck tee, denim jacket and your trainers they could work well.

The utility shirt is really nice on you.

Spent the day in jodhpurs yesterday. Justifiably, though, as I was in and out all day to the yard so don't feel too bad!

Had an awesome day today. Went to a big Boden warehouse sale type thing. Absolutely brilliant and came away with bags and bags of goodies! Feeling a bit meh and bloated when I got dressed this morning, though, so went for some trusty old faithfuls.

Star-print dress - Oasis
Green velvet blazer - My Best Friend's Wardrobe
Boots - Fairfax & Favor

Fab outfits from everyone, as ever. 😊

Thanks @ellapaella I love the blazer. It belts at the front but I tied it at the back too and loved it. Who knew I wanted a velvet blazer. Think it will go well with my leather leggings for an evening look when I can't wear my leather biker. I'm going to try it on with some other tips underneath and see whether it's worth sizing up.

I do love the Mint Velvet top too and the navy pants. It's just the wide leg ones I'm umming over. Though I get a discount if I keep everything Wink and I think they might be nice in Tenerife in March for a change in the evening. Definitely think you're right about a v neck t though.

This stitchbox could be expensive. I originally signed up to one every 3 months but it's so nice opening a surprise box. Might change to every 2 months. The price of the items is pretty good too. I selected a fairly high amount for various items but most are nowhere near the max. Everyone should try itSmile

MerlinsButler · 12/02/2020 16:45

@toastfiend love that star dress and nice to see another velvet blazer.

dellacucina · 12/02/2020 16:57

@MerlinsButler not sure what exists here, but in the US my mom is on some Facebook groups with people who sell/exchange their Stitch Fix clothing. It benefits both parties because you get a discount and the person wanting the specific item also can get a discount.

She also uses eBay.

cathyandclare · 12/02/2020 17:28

@MerlinsButler- what a fantastic haul. I adore that blazer (I'm a sucker for a velvet jacket), shirt and navy trousers also fab. I do like the wide legs- maybe with a different top/shoes?

Love the cardi and jeans @Ellapaella, I was inspired to you to get those tapered 501s off eBay- they're nice but I think I should have sized down- they look voluminous not slouchy.

Love the dress @toastfiend

OublietteBravo · 12/02/2020 17:59

@MerlinsButler - I’m really tempted to give it a go myself. Maybe next month - I might be starting to think about spring once I get to March.

MerlinsButler · 12/02/2020 18:14

@OublietteBravo definitely worth giving it a try

@cathyandclare yes I think you're right about the different top/ shoes with the wide leg trousers. I think I will keep them though.

MerlinsButler · 12/02/2020 18:15

@dellacucina oh that's interesting.

OublietteBravo · 12/02/2020 18:28

My 15 year old daughter is currently going through my wardrobe trying to find a prom dress. It’s a bit disconcerting....

Purplecatshopaholic · 12/02/2020 18:57

Great box of goodies @MerlinsButler. Really love that blazer

Sickoffamilydrama · 12/02/2020 18:58

Had a busy day today so only just getting round to posting, don't know why but I'm less organised if I have to leave for work later rather than early think I just waste time!

Jacket is Boden
Blouse is Primark
Skirt is Boden
Boots are ECCO and really comfortable

Need some nicer blouses I'm thinking washable silk (if there's such a thing) but can't seem to find them.

Sickoffamilydrama · 12/02/2020 19:12

@toastfiend how did you get to go to that sale? How discounted was everything? I am sceptical that some outlets aren't really that much cheaper.

toastfiend · 12/02/2020 20:11

@sickoffamilydrama my Mum heard about it from a friend and invited me along. It was open to all, though, no sign-up or anything required! It's an annual thing they do over 2 days.

I thought it was great. Huge discounts and genuine bargains to be had but you had to get there early and be prepared to rummage as it was just boxes and boxes of stuff. Worth it, though! My Mum got a pair of beautiful leather boots for £25 as they had the tiniest scuff on the heel (we didn't even notice it until they pointed it out at the till), belts for £3, dresses for £20, tops for £8, and I got my DS some gorgeous baby clothes for £5 each. It was all around the 70% off mark. Some more than that. I appreciate it's not really in the spirit of this thread, but I came away with some great bits that I'll wear loads. I'm justifying it that I needed more smart stuff now I'm back at work after mat leave!

KiteflyingKat · 12/02/2020 20:21

Everyone looking lovely as usual.

@cathyandclare your hair is amazing btw . Been meaning to say that for ages.

Thanks for the pinafore dress love Grin

No photo from me today but I did give two huge bags to charity shop so I’m feeling great about that. It was basically stuff I never wear but was struggling to part with or stuff I genuinely loved pre-baby but is just not the most flattering look on me anymore.

So feeling proud of myself (and any size 8 people visiting our local charity shop over the next few days are in for a treat, there was loads of Reiss, Jigsaw, Whistles, Tiger of Sweden, etc in there)

Igottastartthinkingbee · 12/02/2020 20:51

Where’s the charity shop kiteflyingkat?!?! GrinWink
