Slight variation on a theme: Grin

toastfiend · 27/03/2020 10:04

Love your harems @Insertdeadcatsnamehere, and I think the trousers are great @purplecatshopaholic.

Bit plain for me today. Comfy, though. I've put red lipstick on to jazz it up a bit! 😂

Cotton boilersuit - Lucy & Yak
Hoop earrings - Topshop

We're in that weird place between seasons where my winter clothes are too warm but my summer clothes aren't warm enough. I've realised I am significantly lacking in spring wear!

toastfiend · 27/03/2020 10:08

Oops, forgot the picture.

@happytobemrsg can highly recommend the Addisons. They're lovely and soft. No give in them at all, though, so, unlike the Alexas, if you're between sizes I'd go for the larger size. I'm between a 10 and a 12 usually and have a 12 (30" waist) in these and am glad of that as there's no extra room in the wasitband even then.

Haha I’m glad you enjoyed your wardrobe clear out Purple! You look fab.

When this is all over @toastfiend I’ll need your help making a L&Y wish list! I can see me buying loads...

Very proud of myself for going a week without resorting to my usual crappy loungewear.

Everybody is looking lovely! Great to see your outfits. I've been busy and then unfortunately this week started to develop symptoms of probable Coronavirus. I've had a tight, irritated chest with an intermittent dry cough, on Wednesday I suddenly developed a mild fever and was so fatigued I had to go back to bed. 24 hours of feeling dreadful, vertigo and a horrible headache I am now up and about again and starting to feel more human. The chest tightness and cough come and go.
I am hoping I have the virus as it means when I go back to work next week I won't feel so I overwhelmed with anxiety about the prospect of being exposed fo massive viral load without the right protective equipment the government keep promising but never materialises. Can't even get a test either as there aren't any (unless you're 'important' enough it seems).
Anyhow, I thought I'd share with you some dungarees I bought ages ago from Gap for the summer but haven't worn even once yet! Got them over a month ago. This photo is from back when I tried them on, today I'm in my PJ's.
I can't wait to get these on, get outside, feel the sun on my face and for this nightmare to be over.
Take care all xx

And I have ordered these lounge pants from FatFace as I intend to spend a lot of time lounging in my garden over the next few weeks when I'm not at work!

Thank you so much for everything you & your colleagues are doing @Ellapaella. My words are completely inadequate but honestly you’re all heroes. I hope you feel better soon & when you go back they have the protective equipment you need Flowers

Shannith · 27/03/2020 16:37

Everyone looking springlike!

@Ellapaella I hope you do have it (a weird thing to write) and that you recover quickly.

I failed at sequins due to homeschooling sending me running for comfort. Not much better today but I could feasibly wear this in public if the public were not bothered about fashion.

Top - not sure £1 charity shop
Grey top underneath - ancient Gap
Jeans - Zara £1 charity shop
Socks - M&S probably
Trainers Nike £3 charity shop

I have an amazing secret charity shop in the next village and one in the next town with a £1 rail that many of my clothes come from. I used to spend a absolute fortune on clothes. I can’t bring myself to do it now. I am very lucky.

I am very lucky to live in a very affluent part of the world so lots of the charity shops have great quality clothes - and if you are an apparently random size like me lots that end up discounted.

Maybe I should do a week of charity shop only clothes? I have whole outfits that were less than £5.

Loving the idea of the charity shop finds @Shannith, would love to see your bargains

Shannith · 27/03/2020 19:19

I've just looked in my wardrobe and I have quite a charity shop selection.

Some of which have been inspired by things people wear in this thread.

See if you can spot yourself! In a non weird way I promise.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 27/03/2020 20:11

Today I wore an Oliver Bonas dress, a grey M&S chunky cardi, grey opaque tights, and DM monkey boots. ellapaella also has this dress - I hope you feel well again soon.

Sooverthemill · 27/03/2020 21:05

@Ellapaella oh that's pretty s**t for you. I hope you feel better soon.
The fatface trousers look great and perfect for relaxing.

Charity shop clothes week a good idea @Shannith

I wore hush relaxed cropped trousers and a very old Boden shirt today. No photo, I forgot and now am in my pajamas.

Will be in sequins for sequin Saturday tomorrow ( anyone with me?)

happytobemrsg · 27/03/2020 21:26

Oh yes I forgot @Sooverthemill! Sequins!

Ellapaella · 27/03/2020 21:30

@Judystilldreamsofhorses you rock the dress!
Thank you all for your well wishes, I'm doing ok. If this is the bastard virus (which I think it probably is) then I'm going to kicks it's ass!

We need a new thread soon...

Purplecatshopaholic · 27/03/2020 21:34

Purplecatshopaholic · 27/03/2020 21:36

And yes, kick it’s ass @Ellapaella, thank you for all you and your colleagues do

OublietteBravo · 27/03/2020 22:42
