@Sooverthemill I'd not heard of Zooplus before, thank tou for the recommendation! I managed to find our usual dog food in the shop, but definitely bearing delivery in mind for the future. Thanks so much! Smile

@Ellapaella everything I've written seems pretty inadequate, but thank you, truly, for everything you're doing. Wishing you all the best for the coming weeks.

Miseryisabutterfly · 19/03/2020 20:45

I’m sorry I’m late coming back to comment, but @Ellapaella you are a hero! We’re so lucky to have healthcare workers giving so much of themselves. I can’t imagine how stretched things are at the moment and how you must feel.

@Sooverthemill you are also amazing. I’m sorry you have so much worry with your daughter. Absolutely inspiring that you get on with things and make an effort every day and enjoy your clothes still. After my comment I’ve still been sitting around in joggers and hoodies every day!

Sickoffamilydrama · 20/03/2020 09:58

Morning all,
So first day of home schooling for my DD 12 she's stressed and very grumpy but has already decided she's starting school stuff at 8.30/9 and cracking on so at least I'm not having to push her whilst trying to work.
Felt like something bright so got my eBay bargain Boden dress on.
Not sure the boots work but don't care!

I feel very unwell today, I'm sure it's just a cold but god the world outside makes me hyper anxious. I also have to have a biopsy repeated on Monday so that's total crap.

Still, it's colder today and my tummy is sore so I'm layered up and trying to look vaguely cheerful

Sweatshirt: hush
Tee: Boden ( about 7 years old)

Good morning! I’m posting a bit later than usual because I’ve been busy installing my home office. Hooray - I no longer need to work on the kitchen table.

Jumper: Hush (close up shows the sparkly thread)
Trousers: Boden
High tops: Mint Velvet

@Sooverthemill - I hope you feel better soon.

@Ellapaella thanks for your service. Wishing you the best!

@Sooverthemill hope you feel better soon.

@OublietteBravo congrats on the home office setup! I just accepted delivery of some office equipment and I'm getting a desk delivered in a week or so. It's good to feel organised and to have a dedicated space for this.

Today I'm wearing another new dress from the ASOS clearance. I was swimming a bit in it, so I had it taken in. I'm quite pleased with the results!

Boots by Jones the Bootmaker.

Hope everyone is well. I have had so many emails entreating me to buy leisure wear! NO! I may get out the sequins yet.

Top: hush

Keep well everyone.

I'm also stepping it up! Imposing normalcy (more normalcy than usual) during these strange times.

Top - new Boden clearance jumper
Skirt - new Urban Outfitters
Shoes - new Jones the Bootmaker

I basically did all my spring shopping pre-quarantine and will now impose a ban on new clothes.

@sooverthemill has it. I may crack out the sequins if only for my DD's amusement.

toastfiend · 21/03/2020 11:31

Hope you're feeling better @Sooverthemill.

I'm feeling sad and worried today, so wearing my comfiest, happiest clothes.

But until then, I’m going to actually post photos in this thread which I’ve followed for eons (and the previous ones)

You all always look amazing and have inspired me to think about what I wear.

Normally I spend my days fannying about on Mumsnet but most threads are doom and gloom (rightly) at the moment so I’ll hide here if that’s OK?

You can enjoy my wardrobe of free bits, charity shop bargains and occasional designer bits from my days as a city girl.

Mostly riding and dog walking gear, but my stables have shut - even to liveries so you are spared that.

Top / free from much younger cousin
Hooded top underneath - ditto
Gym trousers - no idea, at least 15 years old so we’re probably expensive at some point to have lasted so long!
Socks - M&S I think

If anyone knows how to make photos not post horizontally that would be great.

@Ellapaella - I’m thinking of you and all your fellow medical personnel. We’re social distancing as much as possible and hoping it will help. Today’s outside time will involve gardening. So no chance of coming into contact with anyone from outside the household. Although I might have to get changed first. For the moment I’m wearing the following:

Jumper: Next
Base layer: Primark
Belt: Mint Velvet
Trousers: Warehouse
Boots: Celtic & Co.

Hello everyone! Sorry I have been MIA. I have anxiety (possibly hormone related since DS2 is only 7m) & this situation is making it all worse. I have waves of feeling overwhelmed but I have decided NOT to spend the next 12w in joggers. I LOVE clothes so will use this as an opportunity to wear all the fabulous Spring clothes I have already bought. Also hoping to get in our home gym more. I’m working from my home office 2 days a week. So I’m going to wear bright & cheery clothes & use this time to do some self care, spend time with my boys & try not to kill DH.

Here is my outfit from yesterday. Will take a pic later for today’s outfit.

@Ellapaella I cannot thank you enough for everything you & your colleagues are doing. You’re incredible.

@Sooverthemill you are one inspirational lady!

Jumper: Only
Jeans: New Look

@Sooverthemill - I have unworn sequinned items. I may well wear them once the weather warms up a bit.

Welcome to the thread @Shannith - I’m really appreciating the (relative) normality on here and largely avoiding the rest of MN (aside from one regular thread on the exercise boards).

happytobemrsg · 21/03/2020 11:59

Today’s outfit. Today I’ll be doing some clothes washing then starting the Couch to 5k challenge on our running machine. Might post my gym gear if I’m brave 😂

Jumper: H&M
Trousers: Lucy & Yak
Belt: New Look
Necklace: Accessorize

@happytobemrsg I suffered terribly with post-natal anxiety. Ironically, the current situation has made me slightly better because it's already happening. I know how awful it can feel, though, so, in a completely non-pressured way, you're welcome to PM me if you ever want to chat. I was quite unwell for a while with it but have come out the other side now. I found IAPT to be helpful, but I'm not sure what services are being offered at present.

Purplecatshopaholic · 21/03/2020 13:14

Well, strange times or not my boy needs a walk. Good to get fresh air and a bit of normality. Stella sparkly flats to cheer me up, and Stella leggings and an ancient purple hoodie. Stay safe everyone

happytobemrsg · 21/03/2020 13:42

Thanks so much @toastfiend. I had severe PND for a year with DS1 & it took me a very long time to get help because those around me kept telling me it wasn’t PND & I was just a bad mum. Thankfully my GP spotted it & CBT sorted it out. This is no where near as severe as before, but it’s there & has manifested itself differently (anxiety). With everything that’s going on I’m just trying to take one day at a time

happytobemrsg · 21/03/2020 13:43

Key for me is avoiding triggers last the vast majority of MN right now! I’m very thankful for this thread

Miseryisabutterfly · 21/03/2020 14:03

I am really enjoying seeing these outfits. It’s lifting my spirits! I need to get dressed 😂 sequins sound like an excellent plan @Sooverthemill

@happytobemrsg I empathise ❤️ (fellow anxiety sufferer and I also had pnd). Tough times but this is a welcome distraction!

Sooverthemill · 21/03/2020 15:40

Thanks everyone! We should have a regular sequin Saturday! Or Sunday! Though in truth my sparkles are a little less shiny these days

Ninkanink · 21/03/2020 15:49

Today I’m wearing my pretty new slippers! Excuse the shoddy pedicure - I’m not used to doing my nail varnish myself, these days...

Excuse the weird photo angle too, makes my legs look very odd! Grin

Ninkanink · 21/03/2020 15:49

Oops photo didn’t attach.
