I think you’re right @Sooverthemill. If nothing else, it is nice to focus on something ‘normal’ - even if it’s only for a few minutes each day.

Having said that, I’m in the same jeans as yesterday and wearing my default jeans-and-jumper outfit. I’m going to make more of an effort tomorrow even though I’m WFH.

Jumper: Boden
Jeans: Boden
High tops: Mint Velvet

@Sooverthemill Flowers

Shannith · 15/03/2020 13:14

@sooverthemill you are pretty amazing really. I lurk on these posts and intermittently promise to post photos and then don't because I wear the same old boring stuff every day.

You have inspired me. I'm actually at home wine a lot so it seems a bit pointless but I have just danced round the kitchen in a pair of heels and feel better!

DaffodilDaffodilfor you

Shannith · 15/03/2020 13:15

Not at home wine a lot thankfully.

Home alone a lot!

Sooverthemill · 15/03/2020 14:40

@Shannith thank you. I worried that my list was a bit moany and it wasn't supposed to be just trying to help people get a bit of joy in the crap every day especially at the moment.

@OublietteBravo you can wear the same things and still be making Yourself feel good. I know we don't need clothes to do that but for many of us it's like a suit of armour

TodoDoingDone · 15/03/2020 15:28

I also want to delurk to say thank you to sooverthemill for your amazing post. And FlowersDaffodil

MsSquishy · 15/03/2020 20:34

Sickoffamilydrama · 15/03/2020 21:26

@Sooverthemill very true.
Today I have been mostly trying to not lose my temper with the nearly 4 year old. He's a darling but with older siblings he has learnt all the bad tricks in the book, turn your back and he's into something, so very casual and had to change my top as he painted me as well as a picture.

Did dye a couple of tops I like but don't wear cause of the green colour the blouse has worked out well. But did a grey waterfall cardigan and the colour is like a washed out yellow and the spotted back didn't take at all not so sure on that one!

I’m more casual than I’d normally be on a Monday. But I’m up and dressed and wearing proper clothes. I have to confess that the trousers are new and not from my wardrobe at all.

Jumper: Warehouse
Cargo trousers: Warehouse

I'm wearing my red boilersuit again, which you're probably all sick of the sight of by now! 😂 Since having DS I really struggle with bloating every month and it means my boilersuits are about the only things I feel comfy and not too self-conscious in for those days. I don't know if it's related to pregnancy/hormones, or if it's because I've lost weight since having him so perhaps notice it more (whereas before I carried a lot of weight on my tummy anyway), but it really bothers me.

Excuse the mess. This thread has made me realise how many of my clothes I really don't wear, so I've been having another clear out.

Sooverthemill · 16/03/2020 09:11

It's lovely @toast! I want to wear mine again but at the moment I'm worried about my sore painful tummy so I'm not. A baggy one would be good!

dellacucina · 16/03/2020 09:35

Sadly, I didn't wear real clothes yesterday and instead spent literally the whole day cleaning in ratty pyjamas. Thanks for the advice, though, @Soover, and for sharing your story. Will try to follow it more in the future!

Today I'm hoping to redeem myself with a very springy outfit

Jumper Talbot's
Skirt hand me down from a friend whose family had suits made a long time ago, maybe 20 years (she didn't give me the jacket, unfortunately!)
Brooch is from a vintage market. First time I've worn it
Old faithful Massimo Dutti shoes

Looking great everyone. Loving your outfit @dellacucina, and I am coveting your sweater @Sooverthemill - cheerful colours are defo the way to go at the moment!

Sickoffamilydrama · 16/03/2020 20:29

Haven't had chance to post until now, was supposed to be staying overnight near one of our factories so I could get to early meetings tomorrow but everything has been cancelled so drove back home. So this outfit has spent 6 hours in the car today.

Sorry I'm still here. School is ridiculously hard, as I'm sure you can imagine and I'm spending all my time preparing for closure whilst trying to calm kids down. This was yesterday. I'll try remember to post today's on the right day!

I can imagine @FuckingHateRats - how long do you have until the Easter holidays? My two are due to break up on 27 March and be off until 21 April. Although as DD has GCSEs this year - she’s supposed to have revision classes running throughout the break.

Sooverthemill · 17/03/2020 09:37

@fuckinghaterats I can imagine ( former teacher if only for a short time) I hope it's easier today.

I had to abandon jeans yesterday as tummy still too sore, annoyingly, so I'm back in stretchy waistbands which I'm sure just encourage me to eat more! Had excellent news about the dog, amazingly all 3 masses in different places were benign so we are very very happy. He's 11 and was supposed to be immortal

Tee: Boden
Trousers: hush
Trainers: jigsaw

Sooverthemill · 17/03/2020 10:23

@oubliette, yes it was so worrying and he had been very unwell but it seems that the masses had been pressing on all the wrong places and now removed, he is much more his old self getting a bit fed up he's on bed rest! But he is still cute
