Super stormy here today, so just snuck in a quick dog walk before lockdown! Wearing a new cos jumper (birthday present) super warm, vero moda pants (2nd hand depop) usual boots and coat just for dog walk, it will be slippers here for the rest of the day!

Okay, so today's outfit is a trial. I bought this top on eBay in a bit to inject more colour into my wardrobe. I have to wear it with a strapless bra which is annoying, and it's also got a lacy panel which shows a decent whack of cleavage so it's definitely a weekend only kind of top. Do we think k keep?

Top: Topshop via eBay
Jeans: Topshop
Oversized black cardigan: Topshop (spot the trend)
Belt: ASOS
Trainers: M&S

I really like that top @FuckingHateRats, defo keep

Purplecatshopaholic · 29/02/2020 12:52

You could also use transparent straps for the bra @FuckingHateRats - you can get them in Marks - i have some and they are good

Sickoffamilydrama · 29/02/2020 14:05

Love the top @FuckingHateRats so this weekend we are child free for a she 24hours! We've got a work event tonight in London and staying at a beautiful 1920s hotel. The toilet is a proper old fashioned powder room the mirrors are amazing.

Think with this outfit I could do with longer boots that are more slick or heeled which I don't really wear anymore.
Dress H&M
Faux leather Jacket M&S
Poncho is don't know
Boots Ecco

Ladies I just bought this jumpsuit in a charity shop.... It has a matching belt but this is my leopard print belt with it. Think I'm in love 🥰

happytobemrsg · 29/02/2020 14:47

Ooooo love that on you @FuckingHateRats

Sooverthemill · 29/02/2020 14:47

@fuckinghaterats brilliant!

OublietteBravo · 29/02/2020 14:59

Sounds like a lovely day @toastfiend do you have your own horse? Weather is beautiful here, cold with clear blue skies. I had a walk on the beach this morning with dog and DC but I've spent the last 3 hours doing housework.

Riding gear here too.

Waterproof “leather” jods (decathalon - fleece lined too and help bum stick to the saddle!)
Pink hoody - esprit
Thermals
Gilet - primark.
Dubarry boots

Got in and out before it rained!

toastfiend · 29/02/2020 15:49

@Ellapaella I do, a little 4 year old ex-racehorse straight out of training. She's a sweetie. Unfortunately no riding for me after all, though, instead I'm now waiting for the out of hours vet to arrive. 🙄🤦‍♀️

twosoups1972 · 29/02/2020 16:02

@bigeegit love the Cos jumper. Where is your coat from please?

Sickoffamilydrama · 29/02/2020 16:07

@toastfiend hope all is ok and the vet sorts it.
You are making me miss my old boy, he was an exhunter a really lovely horse to ride he could be lively but he was never frightening and would jump anything. I had him for 26 years!

I don't miss the cost, early mornings or the responsibility of have to go twice a day!

I must go riding somewhere only problem is I got rid of all my riding gear 🤦‍♀️ and I probably wouldn't be able to walk afterwards 😉

bigeegit · 29/02/2020 16:15

@twosoups1972 its superdry, borderlands parka. It's on half price (but it seems to always be, I bought it in Sept for the lower price). Not sure I would have paid €200 for it, but for €100 it's a good coat, nice and warm! www.superdry.ie/products?product_id=3493496&source=googleshopping&locale=en-IE&nst=0&gclid=Cj0KCQiAtOjyBRC0ARIsAIpJyGOVmdK3nCPxD9FsMOc6Bibm1VYlXUwd4ssM0X5FbmxnsYIASz641MsaAvhTEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Ellapaella · 29/02/2020 16:26

Oh no @toastfiend - hope your poor horse gets better soon

Thank you everyone for the comments on my dress yesterday - I really enjoyed wearing it if that doesn't sound too daft! And thank you @happytobemrsg and others who've worn belts with their long dresses, I wouldn't have thought of adding it if it wasn't for this thread.

I had a fab day, and did buy some clothes (2 tops) but was much more specific about what I needed than I would have been in the past, and only bought things I really loved. I also avoided buying 'more of the same' and choosing things similar to what I already have because I like them - which is something I've done a lot in the past. Stylebook and this thread definitely helped with that Smile

I also tried on the hush harems which @Ellapaella always looks so great in. Annoyingly they didn't have the size I need in the colour I wanted in John Lewis, and on the hush website they've now changed the sizing from XS, S, M etc (which I tried on) to 6, 8, 10, etc. I've emailed them to ask which size I should order.

@dellacucina I think the oversized jumper could look good with leggings on you. Love the skirt.

@FuckingHateRats what a great find!

@Ellapaella great outfit. I'm after a longer top to wear with my coated jeans but haven't found the right thing for my figure yet.

PalacePaper · 01/03/2020 07:46

Not sure why there are random sections of bold in my post Confused

It’s stopped raining, but is still cold and windy. I’m wearing the same trousers as yesterday, but this time with high tops. Which are extremely comfortable and warm, but do seem to make my feet look big (I’m only a size 5).

Jumper: Warehouse
Trousers: Boden
High tops: Mint Velvet

Glad you enjoyed trying something new @PalacePaper! I’ve always admired certain looks on other people & it’s only been in the last year or so (thanks to SBS & this thread) that I’ve started wearing them myself.

Looking back at my clothes this last month & there is a serious lack of colour! Being on Spring...
