Love those trousers @Purplecatshopaholic. 😊 Our boiler broke down late last night, so excuse the chaos behind me from late night packing to get us all (especially baby DS) out of the house and to a friend's for the night due to the carbon monoxide alarm going off. Bit of a nightmare!

Dressed for warmth and comfort today, given the lack of heating.

Top - Raspberry Republic
Paper bag waist cord trousers - Lucy & Yak, depop bargain. Can't decide if I love them or they're the most unflattering thing ever. They were only £10, though, and they're super soft and comfy.
Boots - unbranded, bought from a local warehouse sale place

I'm not leaving the house today so I shan't share what I'm wearing 😂 but you're all looking fabulous!

KiteflyingKat · 21/02/2020 13:38

@bigeegit I have both the black and brown Valverde boots too. My black ones are more “town” boots with smooth soles, the brown ones more country boots. I do ride so like the fact I can ride in them too.

Today I’m working from home so trying to stay cosy. M&S Sophia Jeans, cardi from Sandwich (think it’s a Dutch brand) and Timberland Boots. Leather belt from charity shop.

@Sooverthemill it's the Amelie jumper! It's on clearance, so act fast if you want it!

cathyandclare · 21/02/2020 16:32

Love the outfit @bigeegit, great coat! I too have the Spanish riding boots, although I couldn't get that model ( which I love) because they came over my knees < short arse>

I'm still trying to not repeat outfits, but after a month I'm struggling. There's still stuff unworn though, so expect random/bizarrely overdressed outfits soon!

@cathyandclare I have just seen someone in a midi dress and ankle boots which looked fab, and then opened this and saw your picture! I have a midi dress which I don't wear often because I struggle to find the right footwear, didn't think ankle boots would work but I am going to try it. You have some lovely clothes and this thread is great for inspiration.

OublietteBravo · 22/02/2020 07:40

Off to pick the kids up, so comfort is definitely the name of the game here.

Merino dress: Jigsaw
Leggings: Primark
Boots: Celtic & Co

Really lovely dress @OublietteBravo, looks very cosy! I'm actually off for a birthday shopping trip courtesy of my other half, but I will be keeping in mind all of the clothes I already have, and will try to choose quality things that will go with as much as possible. The weather is windy and cold today so I'm going for cosy too! Grey dress is a recent phase 8 second hand ebay find, leggings are a million years old from tesco, usual black boots, superdry coat and a navy cambridge satchel company cross over bag, just over a year old.

Looking great as usual @cathyandclare and @OublietteBravo - loving those looks. Out for lunch later - have dug out some leather trousers and had them altered, so might post them later

Spam88 · 22/02/2020 10:18

@bigeegit what app do you use for those pictures?

bigeegit · 22/02/2020 10:29

@Spam88 I use an app called your closet. I just looked up clothes tracker apps and it was one of the first ones that came up, not sure if theres better ones, but I like it so far! I then just upload pics of the clothes in my wardrobe downloaded from the internet because I'm too lazy to take pics of everything, bu thats an option too. It tells you how many times you've worn things and you can put in the cost of things too.

Can I join? Nowhere near as stylish and put together as everyone on here but my goal for 2020 is to make more effort with my appearance. I realised I was always trying to keep up with the latest trends regardless of whether they suit me and then wondering why I still looked shit despite a tonne of new clothes. Instead I'm going to utilise what I already have that I like and suit me/my style and then just buy what I actually need.
Wet look leggings - Boohoo
Vest - Primark
Grey wrap jumper - Boohoo I think?
Slip on trainers - DC

Happy weekend all! Cycling kit here today so won’t post a photo! Will prob crawl straight into something slobby later

Sickoffamilydrama · 22/02/2020 14:09

Thanks all for the suggestions re my dress going to get it altered in a minute.
Didn't post yesterday as in old gear organising the house.
So was trying something a little different today. Got this blouse handed down to me kept it because it is Boden but it just doesn't make me feel good I don't love it and it's not a staple item either so have just taken it off and going to get rid of it.
So now I'm wearing the jumper without the blouse.
Next Jumper (with heatgen long sleeve top underneath)
Next Jeans
Ecco Boots

Ladies I have followed this thread for months, loving the commitment to shopping your own clothes and wearing items in different ways! It's been such an enjoyable lurk.

I was wondering (and of course, do not feel obligated AT ALL) if I could join you... I finally have what I feel is a fairly capsule wardrobe and I think this would be great to keep track of what is working and what is not working for me. But I very much understand you've been doing this a fair wee while and may not want new joiners.

cathyandclare · 22/02/2020 18:33

All looking gorgeous as ever. I like that blouse @sickoffamilydrama, could be lovely for spring (if it ever arrives!)

Great dress @OublietteBravo, I'm also in black and green all the time :)
Lovely outfit @dellacucina.

OublietteBravo · 22/02/2020 18:57

@cathyandclare - I love both the coat and the jacket (and the rooms in the background of your photos also look amazing).
