@Ellapaella do you mind telling me how the Vero Moda coated jeans are for size? I'm looking at some, but as a size 8-10, 5ft 4 I'm not sure what size to get. Thanks

Ellapaella · 18/02/2020 19:09

@ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords I'm a 10 in most high street shops (with the exception of TopShop and warehouse) and these are a 10. I think maybe if you are an 8-10 you could go for an 8.

Thanks @cathyandclare . Some of my more flimsy jersey dresses didn’t look so great on my mum tum, but the Baukjen ones are more substantial and hold me in a bit more so I kept them.
That’s fantastic you have started cycling & love it, I’m mainly a mountain biker but the trails round here are mud soup at the moment so I’m confined to the road & my indoor turbo trainer until the storms pass.

twosoups1972 · 18/02/2020 19:14

@cathyandclare I love your leather skirt. I’ve had my eye on a Hush one for a while

ArtieFufkinPolymerRecords · 18/02/2020 19:18

@Ellapaella Thanks. I usually go for a 10 in skinny jeans, so will probably go for that.

LadyBundleBrent · 18/02/2020 19:41

Hello again!

justoneday I have the dalby biker jacket...in a size 10 and I probably should have got a size 8 as I expect it shall stretch...

happytobemrsg · 18/02/2020 19:58

I think you discuss what you’re after in your pre-shop coffee. Sarah only covers Bluewater so she knows the shops & stock really well @KiteflyingKat

It was my sisters birthday today & we went soft play to wear the DC out then out to lunch. I didn’t take a photo but I wore this dress with black tights & black M&S Chelsea boots

@happytobemrsg - it was my sister’s birthday yesterday too.

Sooverthemill · 19/02/2020 09:25

Great mix of outfits, all looking great. @cathyandclare tell me you don't drink cappuccino whilst cycling?

Cold and bright day today and photo in weirdly dingy light given how sunny it is!

Jumper: all saints
Jeans: j crew
Trainers: Boden
You can't see a navy Boden top underneath!

Waiting for all my jeans to arrive

Trousers Boden
Top is a hand me down it's actually slightly glittery not sure where it's from.
Shoes are Clarks brogues.
Necklace is the silvery not sure if I should get a longer chain for it?
Jacket is M&S

@Sooverthemill I’m looking forward to hearing your report on all the jeans.

I’m wearing my new Lily jeans from M&S. They are described as slim but to be honest are more like skinny on me (except for around the ankle). I’m wearing my usual size 10 and wouldn’t say I have especially chunky legs.

Jumper is M&S Autograph, via charity shop. Boot are Rocketdog via TK Maxx.

KiteflyingKat · 19/02/2020 12:49

@Sickoffamilydrama I’m also loving wider leg trousers and going off skinnies tbh

Purplecatshopaholic · 19/02/2020 13:02

Love that dress @happytobemrsg, and that outfit really rocks @sickoffamilydrama. Dog walking/housework gear for me today so you spared you a pic. I have cracked and ordered a new pair of shoes - pic to follow no doubt.

cathyandclare · 19/02/2020 14:41

Shameless stealing of @Talisin's velvet culotte outfit from yesterday by me (although it's chilly here so put a longer coat on to go out). These threads are just brilliant for ideas, you're all an inspiration! Love the wide legs, the fab jean research and thinking of digging out my bodysuits too.

Green velvet culottes - made for me in SE Asia (better colour than they look in the pic)
Black polo-H&M
Green scarf- Cos
Leather coat- vintage M&S
Boots- Daniel

Great look @cathyandclare, I agree these threads are fab for inspiration.

KiteflyingKat · 19/02/2020 20:08

@cathyandclare I had a leather coat like that as a teenager. For some reason I bought a size 12 even though I was a tiny size 6 back then Hmm
Really wishing I hadn’t charity shopped it years ago now....

Spam88 · 19/02/2020 20:11

Ooh can I join! I'm not nearly as stylish as you lot but hopefully you'll rub off on me 😂

Jeans - H&M
Shirt - Tu - I'm breastfeeding so easy access required!
Worn with black biker boots (which I wear with everything because they're my quickest shoes to get on and I now have two kids to wrestle out of the house).

Thanks Purple at least I looked good whilst being harassed and whined at by the kids they are at a seriously difficult mix of ages the nearly 4 year old is to old for a push chair but still tires easily and then my eldest is 12 and is very hormonal literally as soon as we got there she was moaning about the crowds and everything else you can think of 🤦‍♀️

dellacucina · 19/02/2020 21:11

I got a load of clothes from Boden in the post today and I have sent the majority back. (I'm really trying to keep spending down and I must wanted to use up a £50 voucher). It was my first Boden purchase! Thanks again for the encouragement Wink

The t shirts seem like really good quality but I realised I didn't really want any of the ones I ordered. The cashmere is very nice. I almost kept the navy Shelley raincoat but I just didn't feel I could justify the cost when I already have a Sea Salt one.

Will wear and post photos of my purchases over the next couple of weeks!

happytobemrsg · 19/02/2020 21:15

Sorry for the loo pic! In the office today

Jumper: Only
Skirt: Topshop
Belt: Gucci

cathyandclare · 19/02/2020 22:29

@KiteflyingKat I had the same one 20 years ago but charity shopped it. I missed it for years, then hunted one down on EBay.

Both DDs have them too now! All I need is for DH to get one and look like Keanu and it'll be The Matrix at home!

Sooverthemill · 20/02/2020 08:48

I'm wearing an outfit I've already posted last week
Jumper: Eileen Fisher
Jeans: Boden
Shoes: dune
And white tee under

@dellacucina glad you've had a good rummage around Boden. Their quality is excellent and when you see something you like, go for it!
