I prefer the second pair too!

dellacucina · 17/02/2020 21:03

I'm also loving all the cozy cardigan looks! And @cathyandclare I also like your bundled up coat look.

I think you can't go wrong with either shoe. I maybe have a slight preference for the ones without the animal print because they are more versatile, but I actually bought trainers with a similar animal print accent, solo...

happytobemrsg · 17/02/2020 22:09

Hmmm the plain are definitely more versatile. Given that I already have black trainers with a lint of animal print maybe I should go with the plain ones

happytobemrsg · 17/02/2020 22:10

I just made a wish List on the MV website & it’s £900 😳

Hoolajerry · 17/02/2020 22:53

OublietteBravo Me too!

PalacePaper · 17/02/2020 23:25

I love both those trainers @happytobemrsg. I have some white mint velvet trainers from last summer and they are very comfy.

No picture today as we went walking in the Peak District so I was wearing jeans, hoodie, walking boots and a lot of mud! But wore my new dress this evening to meet up with friends (went for a leather jacket with it, great suggestion, thank you @Kiteflyingkat Smile I wasn't sure I could pull off DMs with it so wore Chelsea boots, but will definitely try DMs next time)

As I was reading the thread I started making a mental note of all the fab outfits I wanted to mention, but there were so many I've forgotten! Everyone's looking great Smile

dellacucina · 17/02/2020 23:35

@alwaystea I find that length difficult too. I think it could work but I would probably go for a slim high heel or glove boot.

Sickoffamilydrama · 18/02/2020 08:11

Meeting in London today.

@Oubliette did you get any sun? Even if it's just warm enough to sit outside a cafe it's so rejuvenating, I think. Love Spain.

Total fail on no buy I just can't do it. I know it's because I'm miserable and not helped by DH booking yet another holiday for himself. ( but I can't go, so it's a bit childish of me). Have bought jeans and dress from M&S, tees from Next ( I never go to a store and had forgotten how good their basic tees are, 4 for £20 which is less than one in Boden for example) , two pairs of jeans from Hush and I'm stalking Levi's.

Jumper: hush sale purchase
Jeans: old J Crew
Trainers: jigsaw

This photo makes me look tall!

Argh - overslept! I hate being in a rush. Luckily I had decided what to wear last night so that was all ready at least.

I'm getting embarrassed by how much of my wardrobe is Stitch Fix. I'm just not much of a shopper, so this is my bonding activity with my mother! (Again, US Stitch Fix)

Stitch Fix cardigan
Stitch Fix blouse
Ann Taylor skirt
Cole Haan shoes

Loving the velvet culottes @Talisin you lot are making me want to buy more not less 🤦‍♀️

OublietteBravo · 18/02/2020 09:05

@Sooverthemill - we had a couple of hours of sun later yesterday (once the persistent fog finally cleared). The weather has been great for my step count though (23,600 on Sunday and 22,200 yesterday). And it’s been nice to have some child-free time with DH.

alwaystea · 18/02/2020 09:23

Thanks @dellacucina , some good ideas there, it's all about proportions isn't it? Good to get another person's ideas too.
@Sooverthemill I love your jumper too Smile

Justonedayatatime11 · 18/02/2020 10:28

Does someone on here have the All Saints Dalby biker jacket?

JaneJeffer · 18/02/2020 11:30

@cathyandclare I love your boots. Where are they from?

cathyandclare · 18/02/2020 12:29

Thanks @JaneJeffer- they're Daniel Footwear, they're a local business but a good online service.

Love the outfit @Talisin- and @dellacucina Stitchfix has been great for you, I'll be interested to see how any other sign -ups fare. Gorgeous tops @Sooverthemill and @OublietteBravo

Still in cycling gear here! Will get dressed soon Grin

JaneJeffer · 18/02/2020 14:45

Thanks @cathyandclare. I'll have a browse.

Ellapaella · 18/02/2020 15:14

@cathyandclare you always look so well put together. I love your A- line leather skirt outfit.
@happytobemrsg I like the first pair of trainers best.

Hello everyone

@cathyandclare that skirt is great, I’d wear it lots too Grin Are you a cyclist too?

@OublietteBravo I’m jealous of the sun

@Sickoffamilydrama unfortunately this thread can make you want to buy more Hmm Even if that’s not the intention.

@Sooverthemill the no spend is hard! I’ve also been a bit naughty, popped to M&S at lunch break & came away with two pairs of jeans. Didn’t have time for a long try on so I’ll try on at home & report back. To be fair my current jeans are wrecked from crawling around the floor with my DC. And I wear jeans most days.

I’m not normally a huge M&S fan but they had lots of lovely things I had to restrain myself from buying a dress, cropped cardigan, jumper & some trousers Grin

@happytobemrsg your personal shop does sound exciting and expensive and I can’t wait to see what you choose. Where is it being held? Do you tell the stylist in advance what you are after (eg Mint Velvet look) so they can plan it?

Today I’m wearing a Baukjen dress. I recently gave away a stack of these tight jersey work dresses as I wasn’t feeling so confident in them post-baby, plus now I work from home a lot so don’t need that many work dresses filling up my wardrobe. But I think this one is more forgiving, perhaps due to the pattern and being very thick jersey, so I kept it.

cathyandclare · 18/02/2020 17:40

You look lovely in jersey dresses @KiteflyingKat- must be all the cycling ;)

I am a newbie on a bike, started last year. I really love it- it's exercise but it doesn't feel like it because your chatting away and having cappuccino en route !

Looking forward to hearing about your shop @happytobemrsg.
