I am attaching a photo of the pattern on the trousers to make up for the truly appalling lighting in my study

No photo but I’m wearing my Lucy & Yak dungarees. I think they are too short for me really. Even with thick socks & slipper boots I’ve got cold ankles. FYI for anyone thinking of buying Alexa trousers - the black leather bent has beeb discontinued!

Love the boiler suit Toast & the dungarees happy.

Thanks Palace.

Not sure about this outfit, it's warm that's all!
Think the jumper is the wrong shape it ends on my biggest part and colour for me I'm a cool winter. Or maybe I need a vibrant necklace?
Jumper is M&S

Love your trousers @dellacucina. I like your outfit @sickoffamilydrama. Smile And great dungas @happytobemrsg. Can I ask what length they are? I find 30" leg to be way too short, but the 32" is fine for me and gives me the extra length. Otherwise, would their talls be any good to prevent cold ankles?

happytobemrsg · 16/02/2020 21:37

I must have bought the 30”. Does that mean the Alexa’s will be too short too? I think the small only comes in 30” 😢

KiteflyingKat · 16/02/2020 22:02

How tall are you @happytobemrsg?
I’m 5”7 and the Alexa in size small 30 is just about fine on me with room to turn the bottoms up, but I definitely wouldn’t want them to be any shorter - I was preying they didn’t shrink in the wash and was very careful washing and drying them.

Purplecatshopaholic · 17/02/2020 08:54

Flats today as between various offices. Dig these out and remembered I love them! Wish I could remember where I got them! With cropped Baukjen trousers and a cashmere cardi from Marks.

Still foggy here. In fact it is foggier than yesterday (when the fog never cleared). I’m not sure we’re going to see any sun at all on this trip I blame DH, I wanted to go somewhere else - he insisted on coming here because the forecast said it was going to be 2C warmer than my preferred destination. Fortunately I brought layers and a coat/scarf.

Jumper: Warehouse
Jeans: Mint Velvet
Trainers: Jigsaw

Love your trainers @Sooverthemill. Smile

I'm off to London today for a meeting. It's not uber formal/business suits, but I need to be a bit smarter than usual.

Clad head to toe in Boden clearance sale bargains from the other day. Will wear my new check coat (also from the sale) over the top for the inevitable waiting on cold station platforms. They were all cheap as chips due to "faults", but I've examined them carefully and cannot find a single problem with any of them. 🤷‍♀️ Have a lovely day, everyone. Smile

Oh that’s good @KiteflyingKat I’m just over 5ft 6 so the 30” Alexa should be fine

Love the dress @dellacucina you have a cracking figure

Great trainers @Sooverthemill

I love the skirt on you @cathyandclare

So I have my personal shop with SBS next month & I was thinking of buying my white trainers now so I can wear them on the day & help me visualise outfits. So the question is which ones do I get? To go with virtually all outfits - jeans, dresses, jumpsuits etc

KiteflyingKat · 17/02/2020 17:51

@happy I prefer first trainers, but it’s very marginal, not a lot in it!
Do you have a set budget for your shop & a list of items?

happytobemrsg · 17/02/2020 18:05

Thanks @Kiteflyingkat. Sort of. I want to avoid the New Look/DP etc shops as I can do these myself. I want to look in Mint Velvet as overall it’s has the look I’m trying to emulate. Other than that, I want them to introduce me to other similar brands. To do that I need quite a budget! No specific things on my list (except a jacket to go over dresses), but I do prefer chuck on & go things like dresses & jumpsuits & I want anything I buy to work for more than one season. So dresses which I can wear sandals/trainers/tights & boots with.

Sooverthemill · 17/02/2020 19:00

I like trainers no 1 ( the plainer one) but have a look online on John Lewis as for a similar price you ma find a wider range . Apologies if you have already looked.

On a side note, what Levi’s do people have? I'm wondering about getting a pair but the number of styles confuse me. I'd like cropped either tapered or straight and as a size 8/26 in UK not sure if I should get 26 or 27. I have 26 and 27 from j crew and Banana republic if that helps.

Talisin · 17/02/2020 19:19

Trainers no.1 for me as well (although to be fair I’m always likely to be prejudiced against animal print).

Amazing shoes @Purplecatshopaholic Do they really match the cardigan colour as closely as they look to in the photo?

OublietteBravo · 17/02/2020 19:34

I’m going to be a dissenting voice. I prefer the second pair of trainers.

Purplecatshopaholic · 17/02/2020 20:15

@Talisin, the shoes and cardi really match (bought years apart from different places!) Turquoise is one of my faves!
