Lib sorry to hear you've been having a fashion bump. I'm finding it hard to be inspired at the moment with basically nowhere to go and no-one to see. I think I may need to invest in an enormous puffa coat for outdoor winter socialising!

I just bought this cord boiler suit [[https://www.whistles.com/product/corduroy-jumpsuit-30104.html]] in the Whistles sales which I could picture you in Lib though wrong season. It's stupidly long but I think I'll keep it and get it taken up.

Definetly get those boots everyone, they look fab. I was tracking some Top Shop chunky Chelsea boots that were black with red soles but they sold out before I managed to get them.

Stokey · 16/10/2020 19:59

Link fail boiler suit

CarolineBingley · 17/10/2020 08:09

@Stokey that boiler suit is lovely though I couldn’t wear it without it looking horrific on me!! @shopafrolic was really into boiler suits at one point.

@libertyonhertravels glad you’re over your clothes hump, the last outfit you described sounded lovely.

@Everyonelovessparkles omg can’t believe it’s been 4 years!!!!

Yesterday I wore this whistles leaf print blouse with black jeans for the first time. I wore gold jewellery with it though I realised I don’t actually own gold hoops, which would have been nice to go with the top. I don’t think I have ever paid so much attention to my earrings as I have these last 7 months!

I was also in the office this week and it’s really weird as I am now so used to dressing for video calls and more focused on my top half, it was stressful putting together an outfit knowing that I would still be on video calls as well as seeing people in real life! In the end I wore a knitted dress with funky fishnet tights and R&B suede block heels.

shopafrolic · 17/10/2020 08:38

Morning all.
@libertyonhertravels I know what you mean about keeping up with ironing - I have the same problem with getting around to washing knitwear and then wonder why I have no jumpers to wear.
@Everyonelovessparkles and @CarolineBingley I had to check back on photos but the long and then medium length wave with fringe style was around for over 3 years. I do change my style frequently though. Definitely keeping it short for now though although I can’t help but wonder what I’d look like with wavy grey hair Hmm
No style news this weekend, planning on a day of garden tidying today while MrShop takes miniShop to football.
I have no urge to go too far afield while restrictions are increasing, but miniShop is now on half term for two weeks so I’ll have to do something to keep him occupied!
Have lovely days all.

Themarvellousmrsm · 19/10/2020 11:11

I see the LV thread is still rumbling on - please Caroline make the purchaseGrin

My most used recent purchase are the Joules wellibobs for anyone interested, walked for miles in them over the weekend.

The real reason I've popped is to let you know my ootd (out for lunch soon) - whistles barrel jeans, J Crew jewelled Breton (years old but love it) snakeprint ankle boots (JL) my low end designer mulberry Bayswater and trashy pandora charm bracelet WinkGrin

Have a good week everyone

CarolineBingley · 19/10/2020 19:50

GrinGrin @Themarvellousmrsm your outfit sounds great! That thread is properly batshit....It’s a bag and a bracelet FFS!!!

I have barely used my bags over the last 18 months. Even I know I don’t need a new one but it’s like subliminally flashing in my brainGrin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 21/10/2020 15:49

I have spent too much money recently! My bag has only been on order for 4 weeks so a while to wait yet but:

Everyone yes I did find some boots. I got these ones from Uterque which I'm wearing today for the first time with a midi shirt dress.

I've also bought some grey jeans from H&M (very impressed, they are called Vintage High Slim and fit ok on the waist, nice and thick and 99% cotton).

And some faux leather joggers (uncuffed, again I'll wear them to work) from Mango, I'm waiting for the smaller size to be delivered.

It's great, my friend at work got a BIG promotion and she just dresses in stuff from Zara and Mango all the time, so I've decided to relax my work clothes a bit.

How's everyone feeling about being in tier 2, if you are in a tier 2 area? We had to cancel quite a lot of plans to see family, as they aren't local :( so glad I am able to see people at work.

libertyonhertravels · 23/10/2020 07:16

one did you get any of the Vampires Wife stuff??

Great boots blair. Not what I'd usually think of as being your style though Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/10/2020 09:48

Lib I don’t know what my style is anymore Grin🤦🏻‍♀️

CarolineBingley · 24/10/2020 10:53

I am with Lib @BlairWaldorfLovesShopping! We are normally style twins Grin.

My Carat ear jackets arrived yesterday (they were being made) and they’re really fab.

Today is a quiet day, I am in a hoodie, joggers and socks with zero chance of going anywhere. Uber glam Grin

shopafrolic · 24/10/2020 14:50

House of Neon sweatshirt and Sweaty Betty joggers here - so chic Hmm

libertyonhertravels · 25/10/2020 08:09

I bought my ring today. The single stone one and I am v happy with it. It's the most I have ever spent on a piece of jewellery for myself but I think I will wear it all the time.

OP posts:
CarolineBingley · 25/10/2020 12:17

Oooh wonderful Lib! I am really happy for you Smile

As you know, I don’t believe in saving things for best so fully approve of you wearing it all the time Grin

libertyonhertravels · 27/10/2020 06:38

I am so pleased with it. I keep admiring it on my finger and smiling. This may be the start of a jewellery habit. I'm already thinking I need earrings and a bangle to match Grin

awaits enabling follow up from caroline

Hello everyone.....I’m so confused by all the different Covid levels now...anyhow, shooting here
skirt good old M and S occasionally produces something quite good and I love this one. Blair one for you too? Am thinking of wearing it with a fitted fine knit tucked in and my knee length R and B bock heeled boots that I LOVE.

Have also gone bonkers and ordered a pair of boots that you’ll all tell me aren’t me at all (and which, no doubt will get returned when I’ve come to my senses Grin )

DryWhiteagainW · 29/10/2020 21:48

“Shooting” = shopping, I’ve not gone on a rampage

DryWhiteagainW · 29/10/2020 21:50

Fashion question for you. When it’s cold what casual foot wear do you wear with midis instead of trainers? I mean for me really........classic, not 20yr old.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 30/10/2020 02:55

I got the velvet mini dress lib im too short for the maxis without altering them which is a shame because they were really nice but altering them would have spoiled the lines. I also got a few bits of the jewellery. it was a real scrum online, it all sold out in minutes then of course half of it went up on ebay within the hour!!

Im in a tier 3 area so its quiet really. I can see my sister as shes one of my carers and i can see my brother as hes a single person household so bubbled with us. other than that i havent seen anyone for ages. Ds is busy with college and his horse so ive not seen him for a few weeks but hoping to see him soon when he can fit me in!! cant believe hes sixteen now, it only feels like five minutes ago he was a chubby little angel faced toddler!!

CarolineBingley · 31/10/2020 09:38

Happy Halloween!

A very different Halloween hereSad normally we decorate our entire house for the 2 weeks of half half term and then do a Halloween party at the end of it (Lib and mini Lib came one yearGrin) I think because there is no party this year the kids just haven't been bothered to decorate. I might try and rouse them today!

Lib, oooh definitely earrings to match is a good one next as long as you don't feel obliged to wear them all the time! There is too much choice!

Dry, controversial but I have 2 Ugg boots. I know this will trigger Shop.Grin. They are my ultra casual "trainers" of the winter.

I had a big virtual meeting this week and wore what's become my new favourite Zoom work outfit. This Somerset by Alice Temperley top with j crew jeans (not Zoom visible!) and my new carat* ear jackets which are definitely Zoom visible.

I love that top so much, it's so feminine and pretty that I am now looking at other things by Alice Temperley. I really like this tie neck jumper (such a pretty colour) and this leopard jacquard blouse which is in the same style as the one I own.

Stokey · 01/11/2020 08:42

Happy Halloween! We did a Halloween trail fundraiser to raise money for our poor old school which is really struggling, can't do any of the usual fundraising events like school fairs & desperately needs money for new IT equipment in case of another lockdown. We were one of the decorated houses on the trail, you have your kids sweets for each one they found.

Caroline can't really picture you in Uggs and a midi! Love the Temperley shirts for you though. I did the massive webinars last week too but as there were various presenters, we thankfully decided to leave cameras off.
Dry I would say flat boots. I've got some calf length slouchy ones that I used to wear to work in the old commuting days with a midi. I also do ankle ones like Chelsea boots or ones with a slight heel depending on how casual you want to go.
I've just bought some slightly mad trainer type boots. They definetly won't be to everyone's (anyone's?) taste, but figure they are what I need for a lockdown winter.

How's everyone feeling about the new restrictions? It's Dd1's birthday this week and we'd been planning a murder mystery party for 6 in our garden on Saturday which we will now have to postpone. They're in Y6 and navigating the whole applying for schools without proper open days had been a bit of a nightmare. Anyway hope you're all well and coping, it does feel a bit groundhog Day for us at the moment.

Stokey · 03/11/2020 10:16

Hope my weird boots didn't kill the thread. If anyone is in the market for a mid-range bag, Fenwicks have got 50% off a reasonable selection for the next two days, quite a few from Coach, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and similar.

maradesbois · 03/11/2020 12:13

Haha @Stokey Grin. I thought that was a great post for what it’s worth. Was ready to hate the trainer boots but I don’t! They aren’t for me but think they are pretty cool and I applaud all bold style choices!!

Speaking of those who know their own style, @OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack so happy to see that you were successful in getting hold of some of the Vampire’s Wife H&M collab. The velvet mini is gorgeous, I was looking at it on the website but all was long gone.

I did a Matches order at the weekend, all from Ganni. Have cut down spends massively this year but it was the amazing code they run a couple of times a year with £100+ off. Went for this dress. Completely impractical for the current climate but I love it! Also like it styled with the chunky Chelsea boots, looks very now like the ones @BlairWaldorfLovesShopping bought.

@DryWhiteagainW I’d wear any boots tall enough to go up beyond the hem of the midi dress otherwise stick with flat shoes. Also got this
big collar white shirt which I’ll wear under cardigans and a low neck cashmere jumper that I got from White Company a couple of years back. Threw in an animal print scrunchie too as am a big fan despite being plenty old enough to remember them first time round.

Deciem is running a 23% promo code for the whole of this month if anybody needs to stock up. I did a Niod/The Ordinary order to continue in my quest for good skin. The Niod vitamin c serum in particular seems to be working well for me.

Inspired by @CarolineBingley and @stokey have decided to make more effort for work video calls - no more workout wear and at least a lick of mascara. My industry is very informal but I feel better in myself for getting dressed properly and favouring jeans over anything with an elastic waistband will hopefully combat any lockdown spread!

Stokey · 05/11/2020 07:38

Happy birthday for yesterday Shop & Caroline Cake 🍾

Love the Ganni dress Mara, it's totally you.

I got my trainer boots yesterday but sadly they're not a keeper, they're a bit loose round the ankles. I'm thinking of going for some mid calf chunky Chelsea boots instead. There's a lovely pair in R&B but may go for the slightly cheaper version from &OS.

shopafrolic · 05/11/2020 18:21

Shame about the boots @Stokey as could totally see you rocking them.
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Had a lovely day despite all the crap in the world. I got lots of skincare, a lovely new White Company dressing gown, flowers, booze, books and a pre lockdown 2 haircut so all good.
I’ve just ordered some loungewear from the Next Label/Mix range. Will link if good. I hadn’t heard of the range before but they are doing some great colabs including Hill & Friends.
Still watching the US election stuff with bated breath. Scary times.

DryWhiteagainW · 05/11/2020 23:01

Mara I can see you in that beautiful white collared blouse, so lovely.
Shop so glad you were spoiled, some lovely pressies xxx
