This thread is for those that LOVE beauty products... so much so they hoard them, and covet them and behold the beauty that they contain 🥰🥰🥰🥰

@cherrymargo first off I think I called you cherrymango by mistake earlier - sorry!

I am really impressed by the database - it sounds very sensible to me. I may well do the same once I sort out the issue which is really impacting me right now: my office/spare room/Kwicklet's room (he is with me at the mo) - boxes and shizzle everywhere, my documents to file pile is HUGE and it is really getting me down - so I have engaged the services of a professional declutterer - cannot wait!!!

Picture just shows the top of the iceberg...

@tigerbear I really rate Loreal mascaras... I only ever use expensive ones now if given them

I threw out 8 things last night that were long past being used. Stuff I had picked up with every intention of using but that fell by the wayside when something better came along.
I’m annoyed about the advanced night repair as it’s over half full but I ended up with more that I bought and this one had fallen to the back of the drawer and been forgotten about for a really long time. It doesn’t smell the same anymore, I’m not putting it on my face!

@Experiment627 i used to use L’Oréal mascara all the time, but they changed the formula and I didn’t like it so much. The old silver tube one.

CherryMargo · 16/01/2020 18:49

@Experiment627 haha, you actually never called me that, but I like the ‘mango’ version a lot! 😀 Good luck with your decluttering! It would be interesting to see before and after photos once you’re done 😉

Thinking about piles of papers, I must organise my postcard hoard collection which I have been meaning to do for years! When Office Outlet went into administration, I purchased a bunch of lever arch files, pockets and document wallets from them (there was a 50% off clearance sale). But… it’s been 10 months, and I haven’t touched any of that yet 😞

P. S. Not sure if anyone here uses her products, but Kat von D does not own KatVonD Beauty anymore, 100% of the shares now belong to Kendo and the brand has been renamed as KvD Vegan Beauty. No information yet regarding whether any of the products are going to be discontinued or re-formulated. As for the product packaging, Kat has confirmed she won’t design their packaging in the future.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 16/01/2020 21:52

I finished 2 mini Clarins cleansers and a couple of shampoo/conditioners I'd nicked from previous hotels.
Still a huge pile to go.

Costacoffeeplease · 16/01/2020 22:34

A few travel sizes fine today, espa pink mud scalp and hair mask, origins cleanser, and a shampoo from an advent calendar

Costacoffeeplease · 16/01/2020 22:34

Gone today!

StatisticallyChallenged · 17/01/2020 09:46

Two empties this morning

  • nars sheer glow, my favourite foundation. I have another bottle (lost this one, replaced it then found it) but will rebuy once the other runs out
  • kerastase elixir ultime hair oil. Also really like this, i have various random hair oils in the stash so will try others but unless I find something better it's on the rebuy in future list. But the stash will take a while...

I think I've worn a different lipstick every day so far! At least one on the "never again" pile

Experiment627 · 17/01/2020 12:16

@tigerbear have you tried the Loreal Infinity one? That is my current staple

@CherryMargo will defo do the before and after photos!!!

@StatisticallyChallenged I think I need to adopt your lipstick approach!!!

Happy Friyay everyone!!!

Oh and I have an empty:

  • Drunk Elephant Lala Retro whipped cream: hmmm ok but not amazeballs so no repeat

StatisticallyChallenged · 17/01/2020 13:04

It's forcing me to be a bit less dull. Likewise doing no clothes, i know I'll only manage that by wearing my whole wardrobe so i don't get bored

Experiment627 · 17/01/2020 13:50

Another empty!

  • O'Keeffes working hands hand cream: really did not like this - does not sink in well, feels funny and my hands are as bad as ever
OP posts:
RiskIt4Biscuit · 17/01/2020 14:41

I’m really surprised you haven’t found the working hands hand cream works. It’s so annoying that products can be so different for different people.

I’ve finished a Benefit Ready, Set, Brow! clear brow gel.
I got it in a magazine a long time ago. It was good, but I don’t use clear gel enough to want to buy a full size.
I prefer tinted gel, or if I have tinted my brows, nothing.

ememem84 · 17/01/2020 14:54

I’m not a huge fan of working hands either. I have some and use it after being out riding.

It doesn’t seem to do much and if anything seems to dry my hands out more. I’m using it up though. Use the working hands and then a “normal” hand cream.

WhoEatsPopTarts · 17/01/2020 15:04

Can I join in. I use a lot of Beauty Pie products and have a order on its way, recently bought the new Inkey list Tranexamic night cream, which I put on before Tretinoin and am loving so far. I’m headed out in a bit and will be near a big Primark, any good buys from the beauty dept?

LivingDeadGirlUK · 17/01/2020 19:33

Finished an Elizabeth Arden mascara which was nice and I have two more in the stash. However trying a No.7 one before starting on those.

Caggie09 · 17/01/2020 20:29

Imperial leather donut & ice cream shower foam- didnt smell like donuts at all, and i get to excited when it comes to foam washes, i use far to much. I really need to finish a big s&g shower cream i have but its sooo boring!!

Refibra hair mask- out of the glossybox advent. Not very thick for a hair mask, its nice but didnt notice much difference. The exciting part it riffling through to find another hair mask i want to use next!

RiskIt4Biscuit · 17/01/2020 23:13

For those of you who like Pat Mcgrath, the platinum bronze palette is half price right now: www.patmcgrath.com/products/mthrshp-subliminal-platinum-bronze

I have ordered one for myself and one for my mum. Seems like it would be her colours, and she could honestly do with some new makeup as she still has some of the products I gave her when I was a teenager 20 years ago, including two-toned eye pencils.

Sorry if I’m enabling you...

I’ve thrown away a smash box mascara. I think it was called x rated. I didn’t like it at all. Really clumpy.
It was a little bit old but not ancient. So I can’t promise it hadn’t just gone off...

CantChoose · 20/01/2020 22:12

Oh, oh! And a champneys Thai Royale body cream. It was lovely but was ancient so can’t imagine they still make it.

Experiment627 · 21/01/2020 04:34

Welcome @WhoEatsPopTarts !!!!
I am using the cleansing balm from Primark at the mo and it is just fine.

OP posts:
Experiment627 · 21/01/2020 04:36

Oh and Beauty Pie? Please tell me more... are their products any good? 🧐

OP posts:
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 21/01/2020 11:40

I bought the Primark Balm-to-Oil cleanser . It is nice , oilier than BodyShop camomile .

I bought the micellar gel from Primark a while back ( clear gel, 300ml IIRC ) I don't wear make-up so this does the job at night .

RiskIt4Biscuit · 21/01/2020 11:55

How does the Primark cleansing balm compare to the Clinique take the day off cleansing balm?
Does it leave any residue on the skin?
