I’ve ordered some of those hand cream bars too, thanks. My husband has terrible problems with cracked bands especially in winter so thanks for that tip @IlonaRN

ememem84 · 29/08/2020 21:33

Clarins facial sunscreen gone. This is a staple for me usually. I buy at end of feb and use all throughout the summer. It’s empty and although good weather has been forecast I’m not buying another until Feb. My usual moisturiser has spf in it so that will do.

Also used a pressed powder

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/08/2020 21:43

I've finished a 250ml Body shop coconut shower cream. I love the coconut body butter but this was a bit weird and not very pleasant to use, I've an Argon Oil one to use next. Obviously wouldn't repurchase as I've been boycotting Body shop since before it was cool :)

ememem84 · 30/08/2020 08:00

I still have a thing for body shop body butter. But only when on sale. And I also do not need any more moisturiser. I have loads. So when I’m done with my 21 moisturisers (extreme....!!!! But are all from gift sets or we’re gjfts or I bought without realising what I had). I might go back to body ahop.

Caggie09 · 30/08/2020 09:08

Used up a Lush snowfairy shower gel mini, i have 2 more, but ill probably pick more up in the Boxing day sales. Dont think id pay full price even though i love it. Also, the matching body conditioner. Bit of an extra step i dont need, i use moisturiser straight out the shower anyway.

Aldi Lacura hot cloth cleanser. I stocked up and got bored of it, started using just for my morning cleanse and started loving again. Moved on to my last one. Id say HG for my morning cleanse. Cheap and cheerful👍

Mitchum roll on. HG. More in stash.

Dr Dennis Gross Stress repair cream. Teeny tiny 7ml, got a few days out of it. ld be intrested in it but the price puts me off, i enjoyed the sample size, feel like i need more before id splurge £60+ on a cream.

ememem84 · 30/08/2020 20:21

Bobbi Brown eyebrow pencil gone. Not used up but ds got at it.

Will have to buy a new one as I haven’t got any left in my “spares”

CherryMargo · 31/08/2020 00:08

Empty no. 39 🚮 RefectoCil LongLash Caring Balsam (5 ml).

I received it as a gift from my beautician back in 2010 😳, and used it to repair my eyelashes after three years of extensions. It did an amazing job, but I only used half of the tube. It expired at some point in 2011 but, being the hoarder that I am, I kept it, although there was no more use for it. Finally, the day has come – in late 2019 I decided to re-shape my eyebrows using the HD brows service, and this balm came in handy again (because of its age, I would never use it on my eyelashes but I dared to try it on my eyebrows).

As a result, it boosted my brow growth so well that it reduced the ‘transition period’ from projected six months to only three! Now the tube is empty and gone, but I will consider buying it again if I ever need intense lash/brow repair in the future.

A total number of products left in the lash and brow care category: 1 unopened (and still unexpired) full-size serum. Hooray! 🥳

P. S. This also means that I’ve managed to bring 20 out of 69 categories in my S&B hoard down to only one full-size product (although to be fair, I also have samples in some of those 20 categories).

It has been ages since I’ve posted. Hope you are all well.
I’ve probably finished more products than these, but I just can’t remember them all:

Maria Nila 1 litre heal shampoo. Love this and will repurchase, but am trying to get through some other shampoos (also Maria Nila and Redken) first. It’s £65, so pretty steep but it is the only shampoo which has completely sorted my scalp. I may repurchase before getting through the other shampoos, depending on my scalp.

Clinique lash power mascara. Been through a few of these since my last post here. Love this mascara - it is a tubing mascara, so it doesn’t smudge or flake on me.

Superdrug brightening hot cloth cleanser. I think I’ve been through two of these since my last post. I used the Clinique TTDO cleansing balm before, and I prefer this cleanser from Superdrug. Have repurchased as it’s on offer right now.

Mac select sheer pressed powder. Finished one. Had another one in my stash. Dropped the new one after using it once, and it shattered and fell out of the pan. Sigh.

I am not sure I will repurchase this as I fancy a change after using this for a decade. Have a lot of other pressed powders to finish first.

Milani conceal and perfect foundation. This is my new favourite foundation. I used ELDW for a long time, but Milani’s looks nicer, has a better shade for me and seems to wear better for longer - ELDW seems to look cakey in areas after a while, even if using very little of it. Milani doesn’t do that on me.
Have already repurchased.

Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base. Love this. Have a few other products to use up, including a couple of Bobbi Brown creams, and will probably buy the face base again after. It is just so good.

Costacoffeeplease · 31/08/2020 18:31

My cult beauty delivery has arrived and it all looks very interesting 😊

CherryMargo · 31/08/2020 18:45

Empty no. 40 🚮 Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream (5 ml) which I received as part of a birthday gift from Space NK in August 2019. I couldn’t find its manufacture date so it could be past its shelf life before I opened it.

It’s a fragrance free, cruelty free, oily skin friendly, fast absorbing gel cream full of high-quality peptides. The texture and performance remind me of Clinique Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator and La Mer The Moisturizing Cool Gel Cream. However, Protini has much better ingredients than the other two:
– unlike Moisture Surge, it doesn’t contain synthetic colourants or environmental/cancer-causing toxins;
– unlike La Mer Gel Cream, it doesn’t contain alcohol denat, hormone disrupting silicones, synthetic fragrance or Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 which paralises muscles.

Something else to consider – alpha hydroxy acids severely deteriorate peptides’ efficiency so if you have any AHA products in your skincare routine, using Protini would be a waste. Save it for ‘non-AHA’ mornings/nights 😉

All in all, it looks like I’ve found my HG face cream! For years I have wanted to try belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb but Protini’s ingredients blow Aqua Bomb’s ingredients out of the aqua water, so I reckon I won’t bother with it.

A total number of products left in the face cream category: 2 deluxe samples and 1 full-size product.

Space NK GWP tomorrow. Got my online cart readyGrin

Sportycustard · 02/09/2020 07:33

Been a bit of a drought of empties here but I finally have one. Clinique sculptwear lift and contour face and neck serum mini. Really like this but will use up the other 3 serums in my stash before buying.

Interested in the hand cream bars. Will check them out.

Costacoffeeplease · 03/09/2020 09:40

A few more empties. Have already repurchased the Margaret Dabbs hand serum

LivingDeadGirlUK · 03/09/2020 14:02

Finished a Clarins Hydroquench cream masque. I didn't like this too much to start but its grown on me, probably wouldn't repurchase though.

Also finished an impluse Tease body spray, I'm over body sprays just one more to use up and I'll be sticking to perfume.

WellTidy · 03/09/2020 14:09

Finished an absolutely ancient bath foam - space nk Laughter 250ml. It was a gift to my MIL in about 2003 which she didn’t use (or like, clearly) so I’ve used it up for her! It was nearly full and I finished it in three weeks. No messing. I was amazed that it still smelled as it should.

Caggie09 · 03/09/2020 18:44

SpaceNK goodies have showed up, really impressed with the GWP. Full size Sunday Riley cream, excited to try. Wanted a Votary cleansing oil for a while and fancied a posh body scrub. The rest is just things that caught my eye and did not needGrin

WellTidy · 03/09/2020 21:04

That GWP looks amazing. I was really tempted as I’d have liked to try the Dr Dennis Gross peel and Diptyque candles are my favourite! Enjoy!

CherryMargo · 04/09/2020 09:06

Empty no. 41 🚮 Kiehl's Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate (5 ml; GWP).

It is a bright yellow water-free cream which smells of citrus and sulphur 🤢, and contains 10.5% L-ascorbic acid, 2% ascorbyl glucoside and hyaluronic acid. As the formula blends into the skin, you may experience a feeling of warmth (I surely did!). It can also stain your clothes and pillows. A 5-ml sample provided 12 applications.

Two years ago the formula was changed. Everyone seems to hate a new formula which, according to the reviewers, is ‘thicker, stickier and gritter, and shows no results’. My sample was manufactured in October 2018, but the texture wasn’t gritty, and I saw a decent improvement in my nasolabial folds, so I presume I received the old formula.

Also, whilst I was using this serum my skin started to peel off in chunks as if I had a bad sunburn. I cannot say for sure if it was caused by this serum, because alongside with that I introduced another new product to my routine ( Paula's Choice Resist Daily Pore-Refining Treatment 2% BHA). It will take me some time to figure out which product to blame.

A total number of products left in the face oil / serum category: 2 foil sachets, 6 deluxe samples and 6 full-size products.

Makeup empty no. 6 🚮 bareMinerals Stroke of Light Under Eye Brightener in Luminous 2 (5.5 ml; £22).

I've had it in my stash for at least 8 years 🤢 It was pretty good at covering dark circles, but too yellow to work as a ‘brightener’, so I used it only when I had a deep summer tan, i.e. not very often. I would give a lighter shade (Luminous 1) a try but this product was discontinued in 2019.

A total number of products left in the concealer category: 1 sample and 2 full-size products.
