It is Gwyneth Paltrow's line!

Just looked at them Jade Eggs, £60! Shock Im sure the crystal powers work wonders if you pop it up there though! Might give the old vagina steaming ago, see if that can heal me from within insteadWink😂

LivingDeadGirlUK · 26/07/2020 21:58

Did anyone else cross their legs at the thought of steaming their vagina? :p

Finished a Faith in Nature Aloe vera conditioner. Love this and already got a refill. I have got some other shampoos and conditioners to use up but this is so good I don't really want to use anything else. Maybe I could give away the unopened ones.

louisethedisease · 26/07/2020 22:40

@Experiment627 the best dry shampoo that I've come across is living proof, it's in a grey can and actually cleans your hair. I've just ordered another 2 today.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 28/07/2020 22:37

I've finished a Simple protecting light moisturiser. This is my go to usually but I've a few new bits to try, starting with Superdrugs vic C moisturising gel.

CornishTiger · 28/07/2020 23:21

I have empties!

Burts Bees cleansing wipes. Came in a gift set. Lovely for a quick cleanse or refresh but won’t be repurchasing as I don’t like the environmental impact of wipes.

Body shop cleansing balm. Basically my holy grail balm that gets everything off. Have one coming as a late birthday gift from a friend. Have started a temple spa cleanser ( be gone) which feels nice but needed two applications to get eye make up off. I have separate eye make up removers I should use but the body shop balm always got it all off. Will prob be the one body shop thing I continue to buy.

Superdrug pads. Had these ages. Used when skin needed a lift or nose was a bit clogged with white heads around folds. Prob won’t rebuy as now using toner which helps.

Nakin toner. First time I’ve started using toner regularly in ages and it does help skin. Like this brand but unsure about repurchasing in future. Have several others to get through so will exhaust them and then see.

More empties here. Sample of diamond illuminating shampoo and conditioner. Not impressed. Next up is Avon planet spa neck and chest serum. Really like this and have repurchased already. Also finished a soap and glory lip crayon. Think they have discontinued it which is disappointing as it really suited me.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 29/07/2020 11:22

I finished up a Superdrug Optimum moisturiser ( got another one but I fancied a change so the new one is unopened) Moved onto The Ordinary - just bought the basics - cleanser/Vit C/moisturiser .
Pretty good so far .

Empty - Original Source Mango shower gel. Using a Raspberry Rhubharb one which is nice

Costacoffeeplease · 29/07/2020 12:13

More empties plus a Judith Williams neck and décolleté cream which j cut up to get the last of it out

Costacoffeeplease · 29/07/2020 12:14

I’m throwing the alpha H liquid gold night serum as I find it very sticky

Caggie09 · 29/07/2020 17:58

Used up a Lush lipscrub which has lasted YEARS! It expired last year, so the freshness of the product did deteriorate, but that was more the taste. A little goes along way. Love a lip scrub, my lips never get flaky and it bring the colour back into ly lips. Already repurchased another oneSmile

Caggie09 · 29/07/2020 18:13

Just finished a mini Garnier micellar water. Im going to stop buying this. Everytime i come to the end of the bottle, it stinks. Please say im not the only one?!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/07/2020 18:25

Finished a Frizz-ease dream curls spray. Had this for a while and not convinced it did much but does keep the frizz down.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 29/07/2020 23:04

I had a small can of this and it was brilliant.....however I splurged for the full size and it's awful! Gives me really greasy roots. I've reverted to Bumble&Bumble.

Experiment627 · 30/07/2020 05:56

@Caggie09 I did not know about LiB... that was probably a good thing! LOL 😂

@IHeartSusanDey I checked out the Amie cream abd was shocked to see cyclopentasiloxane as one of the ingredients. This is a cyclical silicone which I try to avoid as it can interfere with your endocrine system & impact fertility (which was key before having Kwicklet). The EU are banning it from January 2021 but alas it is still in a shed load of products.

Welcome @stepmotherofone!! Advent calendars are my downfall too but bring me such joy I am not planning on stopping!!!

@Caggie09 I watched some of the Buzz Feed crew try the vagina steaming on You Tube - really funny 😂

@LivingDeadGirlUK definitely an idea to give away unwanted stuff - your local food bank or women's shelter will most likely accept.

@louisethedisease thanks for the dry shampoo recommendation. I am currently using a mini Primark one which is actually the best I have used in ages!

@Caggie09 I adore the Bubble Gum Lush lip scrub... I am using something else at the mo and it is just not the same!

@Babysharkdoodoodood wierd how the size of the can can make a difference.

Great progress guys!

I on the other habd have sinned a plenty with further Boots and Body Shop hauls... at least with BS I had some vouchers to use... plus I got some stuff in Space NK... basically there is no hope for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Empties I can remember (I have taken to my flat and am currently at my mum's):

  • The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid: really liked this as a step in my morning routine. I am going to try the Revolution one next.
  • Eyeko lash alert mascara (small): used this before it is good.
  • Emma Hardie detox mask: sorry if I mentioned already. I liked this... bit pricey in real life and I think I prefer the Elemis berry one.

Have found James Welsh on You Tube, Instagram and the podcast he does with his twin, Robert. Good fun and interesting perspective.

An empty: 5ml Rituals glow day cream. I loved this, but not enough for it to replace my HG of day cream which is Estée Lauder day wear. Would really recommend though (I am 45, dry skin, no allergies).

I am also v close to finishing a 30ml Clinique primer so I am going to add that too! Liked it but I don’t think it was any better than cheaper brands. And my HG for now is still the Benefit one.

Caggie I’ve used Garnier micellar water with the pink lid every day for years and it has never smelled bad at any stage. Might you be keeping it somewhere where it gets too hot? Might that be making a difference? Not that I have any idea. Mine lives in the bathroom cabinet. When I buy the massive 700ml one it lasts for months so it is definitely sitting around for longer than your small one.

IHeartSusanDey · 30/07/2020 18:01

Wow Experiment I had no idea about that! Thank you so much for letting me know...I'm going to keep an eye out for that ingredient in future!! I am useless at knowing what ingredients are what.

I just finished Templespa Soothing Balm for Aching Feet and Limbs. I do a lot of dog walking and it does feel nice and soothing once it goes on but sadly the effects last only minutes. Smells very strong...like eucalyptus.

Bonne Mere Honey Shower Gel by l’occitane finished. Was a gift. Wouldn’t repurchase as didn’t find it particularly amazing. In fact not really keen on their stuff. Plus too ££££.

CornishTiger · 31/07/2020 22:14

@IHeartSusanDey I have that and it does feel lovely.

stepmotherofone · 01/08/2020 15:48

I went through my stash and binned some bits that seemed past their best. Put a load of unopened stuff that I know I won’t use in the stocking filler pile. Still have obscene amounts of stuff but, progress has been made as I have finished.....
• Epsom salt bath soak - probably will repurchase but got other stuff to use first
• Nip & Fab vitamin C sheet mask - I love sheet masks (I know they’re terrible) but this one was a bit meh
• Patchology lip mask - like a sheet mask for lips. I’ve had a few of these and I do like them
• Dr Jart Ceramidin cream - felt like it was doing my face some good but quite thick and more of a winter product
• Janina tooth whitening strip sachet - does give an immediate brighter/whiter look but probably wouldn’t repurchase as a bit of a faff to use

Caggie09 · 01/08/2020 23:11

Welltidy I just keep it in my bedroom, in my drawer. Ive not noticed any other micellar water do it, just Garnier🤨 Really not sure whats causing it, always seems to be at the bottom of the bottle. Maybe i just end up with the bad batches all the timeGrin

Just one empty today:

IT cosmetics Confidence cream 7ml from a GWP. It's not a thick cream, very light but really moisturing! Worked well under my makeup, and with my spf. No real scent to it either, not sure its worth £40 either? Pretty average product really.

Ordered a Kate Somerville Exfolikate kit to top up on the exfoliate treatment that im nearly running out of. Had a voucher for Asos, so bought Ren Jelly cleanser and Cerave hydrating cleanser. Thats the only beauty products im buying this month, as i really dont need anymore, and im really trying to limit myself. Ive also started thinking about advent calendars, which is not healthy, its August!

CherryMargo · 02/08/2020 12:43

Empty no. 35 🚮 Caudalie Premier Cru The Serum (1 ml; GWP).

A watery semi-transparent serum with the subtle smell of black sable grapes (I think? 🤨). Absorbs fast, hydrates well. A 1 ml sachet provided two very generous applications.

A total number of products left in the face oil / serum category: 4 foil sachets, 5 deluxe samples and 6 full-size products.

Empty no. 36 🚮 Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser (1 ml; GWP).

A white cream with the smell of menthol. Avoid contact with eyes, or it will tingle. Does not dissolve makeup, so is only good as a second cleanse. After using this, my skin felt soft and smooth. A 1 ml sachet was enough for five applications.

A total number of products left in the face cleanser category: 3 foil sachets and 5 full-size products.

@Caggie09 I admire your strength I am sitting here with another bursting Boots basket at the ready

So I think I am in a bit of a muddle with reporting my empties... ones I think I missed, apologies if I am repeating myself:

  • PS Naturals balm to oil cleanser: so impressed by this - and actually prefer to the Clinique Take the Day off which gunks in my eyes
  • Day 2 Tresemme foaming dry shampoo: this is nearly full - gonna give to women's shelter. Basically this was like pouring oil on to my already oily roots.
  • PS dry shampoo for brunettes: this was just a mini but I found lurking and it was ok
  • L'oreal age perfect cleansing milk and smoothing and anti fatigue: this is Holy Grail for me
  • Body Shop skin defence multi protection essence: this is Holy Grail for me and Kwicklet is ok with this and I prefer to sunscreen for him
-The Ordinary hyaluronic acid: I really liked this but have started on a Revolution one which is thinner and I think I prefer that
  • Bioderma Sensibio Forte rapid soothing care: I used this a little on Kwicklet and a bit on me - okay but nothing wow
  • Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum: meh. Really expensive and The Ordinary glycoloic acid just as good if not better.

How wired caggie and what a pain as the garnier micellar water is my must-have. It takes off Benefit Theyre Real mascara and not all of them do. I hope the bad batches don't multiply!

An empty: Roger et Gallet 30ml Figueur eau de toilette. I loved this, as I love all things fig. Not much staying power, so I kept re-spraying and therefore got though it quite quickly. Would happily buy again (and will, when I get through the 5 x 10ml summer scent type eau de toilettes that I have from M&S).

Another empty: 30ml Elemis lavender toner, from an advent calendar. Liked using it a lot but I'm not sure if it is any better than other basic toners, so will try not to buy Smile

WellTidy · 03/08/2020 12:34

Impressive Experiment. Very impressive!

Livingthecovidaloca · 04/08/2020 08:53

The empties bag is now full!
These have all been finished since lockdown started. The cupboards are looking much barer!
