New Year, new thread!!!! Continuing the great work already started!!!

This thread is for those that LOVE beauty products... so much so they hoard them, and covet them and behold the beauty that they contain 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Another few empties. The hairspray must be 10 years old Blush. The Liz Earle is a bergamot and something cleanse and polish, but I cut it down to get the last of it out Smile

More from me. Is it wrong that I’m deliberately seeking out the products that are nearly done do I can post here Blush

  • Elemis Superfood Facial Wash - did the job but probably wouldn’t repurchase as nothing special

  • Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner - the slimy, hole blocking petals put me off this so wouldn’t buy again

  • Kneipp Sweet Dreams bath oil - nice. Not sure of the effects on sleep but was a lovely bath

  • Footner - probably shouldn’t count as it’s brand new but I’m having it! This is staple for me every few months

Experiment627 · 06/08/2020 13:25

Holy Moly @Livingthecovidaloca !!!! Well done!!!!

@stepmotherofone - all is fair in love and hoarding...
I just did a Footner and documenting results on my Instagram GrinGrinGrin

I have an empty:

  • L'Occitane dry skin hand cream 10ml: a really nice cream - sinks in fast and hydrates but I am not a fan of the smell

WellTidy · 06/08/2020 16:31

An empty: 15ml Estée Lauder revitalising supreme+ moisturiser. Came as part of a GWP. Loved this and would recommend. Comes very close to being my HG which remains Estée Lauder DayWear moisturiser, which is a bit cheaper, I think.

Also used a Lush butterball bath bomb which is full of cocoa butter and very subtly scented. Clutching at straws clearly to be recording it here but oh well.

WellTidy · 06/08/2020 16:32

Experiment I like all the occitane hand creams, they’re my favourites, but I also really rate the Crabtree and Evelyn ones as they almost as good but cheaper.

stepmotherofone · 06/08/2020 19:01

@Experiment627 you are of course correct! And Footner sporn is amazing but not sure I could inflict mine on people I know!

@WellTidy I like your style counting the bath bomb.

A few bits and pieces here!

Sol De Janeiro Brazilian crush body mist. Basically the bum bum cream scent in body mist form, but with the slight alcohol scent to it too. Ill just stick to scent in cream form, last longer too!

M&S Shea buter and honey body butter. Nice enough, but the texture was abit weird? Was okay for £3.

Emma Hardie protect and prime spf 30. This stuff stinks, its really quite strong for the face. God forbid you get it anywhere near your lips, you'll taste the stuff for ages. It stung my eyes abit too.

GoldFaden Wake up call night cream. Didnt find it anything special. I didnt feel like i woke up with my skin looking as good as it could either.

Benefit Bad Gal bang. I loved this mascara. Im sad its gone! The brush is flexible and gets all my lashes, i dont get flakes of it throughout the day onto my face. It easily comes off on an evening. Ill treat myself to this once ive used all my others!

This works pillow spray. I like a pillow spray. I find i wake up feeling more refreshed, never fall asleep quicker though. I use them when i want to feel more cosy and relaxed. Is it the spray or is it just the fact im taking time for myself to unwind? Ill probably repurchase a cheaper one.

Experiment627 · 06/08/2020 19:49

@Caggie09 I have that Emma Hardie stuff... maybe I will just use on body...

I had to get a new Bad Gal Bang but found it does smudge if you have a mask on for longer than an hour.
Alwaysreadyforablether · 09/08/2020 18:56

Very late to the party but can I join in? I have so much stuff stashed around the house I would be embarrassed to admit how much there is - even to people like you who would understand!
I go through phases of deciding I want to use one particular brand and buy a load of stuff and then, before it's even finished, I'll see a different brand and move on to that. As well as costing a fortune, it means I very rarely finish anything as I start the new product as soon as it arrives.
I doubt I need to buy any more skincare or make up for the rest of my life!

Caggie09 · 09/08/2020 20:33

I see Liberty have realised advent calendar contents;
www.libertylondon.com/uk/beauty-advent-calendar-2020.html

Doesnt really tempt me tbh. I know its early, but its a sneek peek if anyones interested!

It's a bit 'meh'. Not tempted at all
Patsypie · 09/08/2020 21:21

Oh good! The Liberty calender looks dull. I always wish I had one but this is a bore.

Costacoffeeplease · 10/08/2020 11:35

More empties

I’m throwing the Gatineau out because it’s very oily and shiny on, the lipstick is Elizabeth Arden Pure Color Envy in Dynamic which I love and has lasted ages. Also an op and fab hand cream but it cut the tube down to get the last of it out

Costacoffeeplease · 10/08/2020 11:35

Nip and fab hand cream!

stepmotherofone · 10/08/2020 12:27

Advent calendars are my favourite beauty splurge! So excited that it’s nearly that time of year again Blush

Costacoffeeplease · 10/08/2020 13:34

Correction, Estée Lauder lipstick!

Yes I’m looking forward to the beauty advent calendars. Think I’ll still go for Liberty, M&S and Look fantastic or Space NK

Caggie09 · 10/08/2020 13:48

I think ill hold out for SpaceNK advent and get that along side GWP (If not sold out by then!) Also signed up for Cult beauty waiting list for the advent. I dont want to spend a massive amount this year, i love advents. But, on the other hand, i could spend my money on full size products, i actually want😬 It wont stop me buying them though😂

CherryMargo · 10/08/2020 15:18

I’ve never bought or been gifted a beauty advent calendar, which is probably for the best, as it would have expanded the pile of my unused products even further.

However, by reading previous Beauty Hoarder threads I've learnt about DIY advent calendars, and this year I’m going to have my first go at it. I’ll ask a friend to pick 24 samples from my stash, so there’s some element of mystery to it. December will be the month when I give my full-size products a break (the grind is getting tedious! 😩) and use mostly samples.

Making this calendar will have another benefit – I'll use up some of the household clutter like odd-sized pieces of gift-wrapping paper and various bits of old stationery and crafting materials 🖍️ 📎 ✂️🧵

If you made a DIY advent calendar in the past, please share your designs here. I’d love some inspiration! ❤️

WellTidy · 10/08/2020 17:04

I’m not tempted by the Liberty advent calendar either. Probably a good thing! I had the Elemis one last year and I would really recommend.

stepmotherofone · 10/08/2020 19:52

@Caggie09 thanks for the tip about the Cult Beauty waitlist. I missed that one last year and it’s the one I really wanted.

Think I’ll also be going for the Space NK during GWP if I can too

LivingDeadGirlUK · 10/08/2020 22:22

Not had anything to report for a while but have finished a 15ml sized eye makeup remover from givinchey. It worked well, I have an elizabeth arden one to use next.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 11/08/2020 19:04

@Caggie09 How do you sign up for the Cult Beauty Waitlist?
