@frugalkitty hope all goes well xx. I had a royal dream last night. The Queen and Prince Charles were getting on to a narrow boat on a canal near to me - I live in a canal town. I couldn't work out how they would fit with their security but when I went inside it was tardis like. I then saw them off, they went over a huge viaduct and I waved them off. Very random. I will need to look in a dream book for that one!

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/12/2019 11:36

Best wishes for your dad @frugalkitty, hope he makes a quick recovery.

The York card OMG.
What is they say in Relationships? When someone shows you who they are please listen? Who exactly is the intended audience for the message? The pleas who won’t fall in line with the ‘nothing to see here’ message. Totally detracts from any serious work Eug is trying to do with her modern slavery charity.

AngelaScandal · 24/12/2019 11:47

@frugalkitty best wishes to your Dad and yourselves. Hard to have an unwell relative this time of year.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 24/12/2019 11:56

Anyone link to the York card that isn’t DM? Please.

AngelaScandal · 24/12/2019 11:58

Imagine if they were your parents. You’d be mortified

SenecaFalls · 24/12/2019 12:02

Best wishes @frugalkitty for your Dad and your family.

I was thinking just yesterday about how these threads have formed a kind of community and that we have a connection with each other through chat about frocks and jumpsuits and tiaras and the occasional bit of gossip. It's a good thing to have. Xmas Smile Crown

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 24/12/2019 12:05

frugal hope your Dad gets better soon. Flowers

To all the Royal Stylistas here, have a wonderful & Merry Christmas Xmas Smile 🎁🎄

AngelaScandal · 24/12/2019 12:05

Very true Seneca. When I see you lot on other threads I think “oh that’s my RSAB mate” 😂

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 24/12/2019 12:08

I third that Seneca
Right I'm off to finish off some wrapping whilst a certain DD is out of the house Crown Smile

MotherofPearl · 24/12/2019 12:09

I agree Seneca. This thread keeps me sane and is a wonderful refuge from parts of real life. I really enjoy the chat on here.

Frugal I hope your dad gets well soon. Not easy to keep the show on the road for the DC when you're feeling worried I'm sure. Wishing you all the best.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 24/12/2019 12:24

Right into final Xmas prep.
See you all tomorrow to chat about the church outfits.
Merry Xmas Royal S&Gers!

DuchessDumbarton · 24/12/2019 12:37

Seneca I agree, though I lurk more than I post. I feel as if I "know" posters when I see you elsewhere

Frugal best wishes to your father for a speedy recovery.

Merry Christmas to all Xmas Smile Glitterball

SunshineCake · 24/12/2019 12:59

Thank you very much @TracyBeakerSoYeah.. My book list is growing!

DevonUkelele · 24/12/2019 13:18

Merry Christmas to you royal stylistas, one and all, from a sunburnt Australia, where it's just gone Christmas Day ... thinking of ill dads (of all kinds), and families who try (and often times fail) to make it work.

No church walk in Alexander McQueen or anything similar here. Just a lazy day - one of the longest of the year ☀️.

But i can guarantee that Father Christmas is on his way (🎅🏻) bearing gifts, goodwill and - hopefully - many more of these threads.

paradyning · 24/12/2019 13:20

I agree with all the sentiments above!
I saw one of you lot the other day on another thread and thought I knew you!
Sorry Frugal I missed your post about your dad Thanks

queenofarles · 24/12/2019 13:39

Sorry to hear that frugal speedy recovery for your dad Flowers
Prince Philip does not look good, I hope he and the Queen have a lovely Xmas . I don’t think he will be able to sit with the extended family for dinner/lunch . Sad

The Sussexes card is really cute although Harry and Meg look blurred.
Seeing all the cards, I see the Cambridges and Wales had a theme in mind . Don’t know if it’s planned or just coincidence.

I thought the Yorks card was very crude, and in bad taste, glad everyone thinks so too , thought it’s another level of English humor that I don’t get.
Really horrible 😖.

TipseyTorvey · 24/12/2019 14:25

@frugalkitty, sending good healing vibes to your dad. Hope you all have the best Christmas you can and he gets better soon 🎄❤️

megletthesecond · 24/12/2019 14:52

The more I think about it the more awful the Yorks card is.

queen don't worry, it's not you missing a British joke. It really is a grim two fingers up to people.

BlingLoving · 24/12/2019 15:08

I resisted the dm link as long as I could but caved eventually. That card is a TRAINWRECK!!! its mind boggling. Crass, inappropriate, weird etc. It doesn't even say anything about Christmas or thefestice season?!

And I think less if Beatrice and eugenie all the time. Yes, hes their dad and they love him but grow up women!! Eugenie us married, Beatrice will be soon- cut the strings. Send your own card. It's so disturbing.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 24/12/2019 15:26

Who they they send this card to, is it an actual card or a Twitter thing? Surely they don’t send HMQ a card like that. (Still haven t seen, refusing to click DM)

TSSDNCOP · 24/12/2019 15:32

The Yorks are doing a bang up job of marginalising themselves all by themselves.

AppleKatie · 24/12/2019 15:34

It’s not clear who they sent it to but it’s crass alright. How he can have had the year he has had and think a card like that in the public domain is sensible is truly bizarre.

I really want to be a monarchist but he makes it really bloody difficult!

itswinetime · 24/12/2019 15:47

I am guessing here as I'm not on their Christmas card link but from the shots the press have used that there is a standard family shot on the front then the dogs but is on the inside along with road the road. I imagine they thought it was a cute funny way to end the drama.

What it actually is, is a massive fuck you in my opinion but there's been very little of it made by the press if you compare the coverage to that of the perfectly normal family Christmas photo from the Sussex's 🤷🏻‍♀️

Annasgirl · 24/12/2019 15:48

@frugalkitty, thinking of you all - I've been there and it is so tough at Christmas with DC and an ill parent.
