The York Christmas card is extraordinary. And not in a good way!

WineOrGinOrBoth · 24/12/2019 15:59

Gosh - I’ve just looked it. Oh dear.

Horsemad · 24/12/2019 16:04

Thinking of you and yours @frugalkitty Flowers

Is it my eyesight or does that dog on the York's card look blurred? Anyway, it's an odd choice of photo to use. People are bizarre, aren't they?!

Wishing all on here a Happy Christmas 🎄🎅☃️

Looking forward to the church walk tomorrow. My in-laws are giving it a miss this year.

itswinetime · 24/12/2019 16:40

A video of the 'pudding making' has been released it seems George's stirring technique is very similar to that of Charles ironing 😂

SunsetBoulevard3 · 24/12/2019 16:44

@BlingLoving I agree!

I find the way Andrew and Sarah continue to behave as though they are married strange in itself. They all just seem very weird. Clinging together in a show of 'solidarity' when Andrew is a creepy, lying and abusive embarrassment.

AppleKatie · 24/12/2019 16:50

Loving George stabbing the pudding! He is getting tall!

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/12/2019 17:06

@SunsetBoulevard3 it's a bit odd the way Fergie gushes about him on social media yet at Eugenie's wedding he seemed to keep his distance fro' her. Also Eugenie wishes them for their wedding anniversary on IG - why do that when they're no longer married?

Charles face is a picture- proud grandpa!!

Growing up in sa we disnt really do christmas pudding but my mum always insisted that everyone in the house stirs the christmas cake batter. I have a vague memory of the postman being co opted one year by arriving at the crucial moment! My kids think it's weird when make them but they do. And it bloody hard for them with all that fruit!

Laiste · 24/12/2019 17:29

Have we ever seen Andrew spouting forth about how wonderful Fergie is? Or is it all (ways) one sided?

Well we're getting ready to put out the sack, the carrot, the mince pie and the glass of milk here ! Hooray! This is the time every year that i get twitchy about what DC is going to write on their wish list for the bottom of the chimney. Fingers crossed it will actually be what we think it will be and have got wrapped up for them upstairs ay!? [santa]

Merry Christmas to all of you xxx Wine or Brew + Cake Xmas Grin

Catrescue1971 · 24/12/2019 17:33

I think the dog's bum card is problematic in that it shows that he (DofY) completely misunderstands the whole issue. He is communicating that he has had a bad year - he still doesn't get it! He seems to think that he is the victim here!

QueenOfTheAndals · 24/12/2019 17:43

Yes precisely @Catrescue1971!

FrugalKitty all the best to your dad.

To everyone else - I agree with what others have said, I’m a v occasional poster but I do feel that we have a little community here, it’s a lovely distraction from real life and more serious issues. A very happy and stylish Christmas to you all! Crown SmileWine

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 24/12/2019 18:38

Sorry to hear about your dad, FrugalKitty Thanks

Merry Christmas all Crown Smile

TipseyTorvey · 24/12/2019 18:52

Okay I get the mince pie, carrot and glass of port or whiskey but what on earth is the glass of milk for? Eldest is insisting we néed it but who is it for? Elves?

TSSDNCOP · 24/12/2019 19:06

The glass of milk is for Santa. He’d be well over the limit without something a little less boozy!!

frugalkitty · 24/12/2019 19:06

Thank you all for your kind words Flowers my dad is just a wonderful man, it's so sad to see him in the state he's in. Everyone should get to have a dad as lovely as mine.

Laiste · 24/12/2019 19:09

TSSDNCOP exactly. No drink drive encouragement in this house! GrinGrin

TSSDNCOP · 24/12/2019 19:10

Thinking of you @frugalkitty and your lovely dad.
Early Christmas morning here in Australia. I am first one up and having a cup of tea before I hit the to-do list.

TSSDNCOP · 24/12/2019 19:16

Merry Christmas startup I hope you’re nowhere near all those terrible fires.

Lunde · 24/12/2019 19:23

Frugalkitty - sorry about you dad. Wishing him well. Flowers Flowers Xmas Smile

SunshineCake · 24/12/2019 19:26

I also think the Queen has had her makeup professionally applied. ( it is a tiny bit orange) however HM looks like she has mascara on. Suits her.

The Queen's speech is the only time the Queen doesn't do her own make up.

AudacityOfHope · 24/12/2019 20:44

Ah @frugalkitty he's clearly lucky to have a daughter who appreciates him so much.

Merry Christmas all of you, in our own little civilised corner of the internet Xmas Smile

MilleniumHallsWalledGarden · 24/12/2019 20:48

Duchess of Cambridge's Christmas outfits and some lovely photos of PM and PA, just because they're gorgeous (and I like a thread sprinkled with pictures).
