Said. Said. Said. How does spell check change said to ‘sais’?

I thought Kate looked fabulous today - loved the coat, hat and boots - a nice change.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/01/2020 22:23

So this is the original version of the Catherine Walker coat Kate wore on Christmas Day. I'm glad she went for a bespoke version instead! Also imagine the pearl clutching at the DM if she'd shown that much leg...

Need a link @Queen

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/01/2020 22:26

There was a photo attached to my post @Curly - I can see it so maybe try refreshing your browser or closing the app and reloading it? Not sure why photos don't always show.

😮 hideous skirt on that coat. The frothing would indeed have been amazing if she’d gone with that.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 05/01/2020 22:26

Sorry pictures hadn’t appeared.
The original is hideous, especially the furrry skirt bit.
Kate’s version was better; although I still don’t like the fluffy main fabric.

QueenOfTheAndals · 05/01/2020 22:28

It's like someone said to the designer "give me Dr Zhivago, but with legs"!

Rhubarbisevil · 05/01/2020 23:23

The coat is something Mrs Claus would wear to the Kremlin.

Wetdogloveshubert · 05/01/2020 23:29

That skirt is so bad the model's hiding under the hat...

Kate looked fabulous (if a little tired? Poor soul can't win) in that outfit. At first I thought it clashed, but with a second look it is a bit of a triumph. Different, daring, with personality. Nice! Great boots, and a fun coat that can't be repliKated everywhere with ease. And on a trip with the Queen, too.

Lucy Lanigan O Keefe looking gorgeous in this shot, too.

Kate looks very youthful today in that coat and hat. Just a bit more fun, like she’s playing with fashion.

Rose Hanbury - good grief, how thin is she? And that’s with a coat on!

I want to look like Carole Middleton when I’m 64.

mathanxiety · 06/01/2020 05:54

I loved the version of the coat that KM wore.

mathanxiety · 06/01/2020 06:03

Not keen on that splotchy purple but the cut and fabric of KM's church coat are very nice and I love her boots. Love the neckline of the coat. I loved the blue fedora, but not the blue coat also pictured. She must have at least 57 variations of blue coat/ coat dress.

Rose Hanbury should keep stones in her pocket lest a gust of wind would blow her away (as my dad might remark).

beanaseireann · 06/01/2020 07:29

Kate looked great.
I loved the hat.
A message being sent with the presence of the Cholmondeleys.
How thin is Rose Shock

SunsetBoulevard3 · 06/01/2020 09:23

I get the feeling that the RF have got the big guns in PR wise. They know they need to work hard t minimising the problems and emphasising the positive. George and Charlotte on parade, Charmondleys brought out in a ‘there’s no issue’ manner. William and Kate being seen as much as possible. The heir apparents being photographed at every opportunity. Kate talking a about how much her children love Archie. Cookery programme, special photographs. There’s a huge machine at work. Andrew hiding behind a rock.

PinkSun9 · 06/01/2020 09:28

Rose is William's non negotiable issue!

DuchessofWoke · 06/01/2020 10:28

Do people really believe this Rose Hanbury thing? Is there some evidence for the rumour? Kate and William are first-rate actors if it’s true and they’re putting on a show in public.

AppleKatie · 06/01/2020 10:37

Can you imagine how galling it would be to be as thin as Rose and have the press report your pregnant 🤣😮

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/01/2020 11:20

It was the Golden Globe awards last night. In the absence of royal fashion today, if anyone fancies some gown chat then I've created a Globes best & worst thread.

OP posts:
BlingLoving · 06/01/2020 11:58

I don't believe the Rose Hanbury thing. I'd like to think that William wouldn't cheat, but if he did, I don't believe he'd cheat with a woman who is a) his wife's friend b) so much less attractive than his wife etc.

PinkSun9 · 06/01/2020 13:07

William's solicitors sent warning letters to international media outlets threatening legal action if they write anything about his affair. And also that he will deny them any access to stories in future, about himself, kate and their children if these media outlets did indeed go ahead with the Rose story. The BM has since been silent.

Re attractiveness or rather the lack of it, look at Prince Charles, Diana n Camilla.

QueenOfTheAndals · 06/01/2020 13:07

I don't think attractiveness always plays a part @BlingLoving - look at Camilla vs Diana! Though someone I knew once met Camilla and said that in person she looked like an older version of Diana.

Hah snap @PinkSun9!

OP posts:
TracyBeakerSoYeah · 06/01/2020 13:13

Well that's given the DM etc an own goal from insinuating William had an affair with Rose.
Royal or not, no one in their right mind would allow the ow/om of their husband/wife to stay the weekend.

Brilliant Kate (well their pr team)
