I don't think anyone else liked these much, but these are my 3 top picks of Kate's 2019 daywear.

I know the coatdress is a bit controversial on here, but the crisp detailing on this one sets it apart imo.

I had remembered Kate's pale blue Ascot dress as a favourite, but when I re-googled it it looked far too fussy.

Definitely voting for the gorgeous emerald sparkly dress in Pakistan.

I didn't like that coat dress @MotherofPearl but the other two outfits were nice.

Apparently Louise borrowed a Stella McCartney coat of Sophie's for one of the Christmas church walks. There's a great wardrobe to raid! Can you imagine the Cambridge and Sussex children doing the same in the future? If only William and Harry matched their father, they could change their suit style.

Those shoes didn't go with that bandage dress. But I loved the white blouse.

I liked the white dress but agree the shoes were wrong. Kate rarely gets the shoes right for me though but was that really this year 😱 I have forgotten more than I thought!

I think I may have been in the minority but I thought Meghan found her pregnancy style at the end when she found the 60s inspired dresses I thought they were good dresses for her

Meghan's black velvet at the British fashion awards, for mine - though it is hard to find a good shot of it. (And now Mumsnet won't let me upload it 🤷🏼‍♀️)

Yes, yes, to Kate's purple blouse and wide-legged pants. Meh to most of her other kit - though her hair is always amazing in an updo, I (controversially) like the headbands and her jewellery gets better and better.

I loved Meghan in the navy sparkly evening gown she wore when she was quite heavily pregnant. Thought she looked beautiful. My phone won't let me upload pics for some reason! Also loved Kate's white one shoulder evening gown someone posted upthread.

Day looks, Kate's trouser and purple blouse combo was a winner, she looked her age not twenty years older! Smart and modern and her hair was fab.

Megan always nails more casual daywear for me. It's her strength.

Next year, Kate, no more Erdem, please and thanks!!!

I meant the first one in my second post @CurlyWurlyTwirly - sorry to disappoint! On reflection, that one was pretty, though very skintight.

The pink bandage one I think was a strange choice. And for comparison, one of my favourite daywears, the blue tailored dress with nice shoulders and sleeves. Finally, one of the boat race - because who can forget #legday?

I agree with Curly's choices for Kate's best looks of this year. Least favourite for me is anything with a high round neck.

Meghan, for me, missed the mark a lot this year but I think pregnancy and post baby made it trickier, and I really wasn't a fan of those belted dresses she went through a phase of wearing. That said, her complexion and make up are always perfect, she's such a pretty lady and very photogenic.

Oh, but I really liked the black and navy sequinned evening dresses that Meghan wore as others have posted about above

Gosh that shot of Kate on the boat reminds me a bit of those Diana in the gym photos.

Evil Kermit the Frog dress was this year! (I believe I called it first!)
