We’re approaching the end of January. I’ve not worn the same outfit twice, nor have a worn any item of clothing more than twice (excluding footwear). There are still a considerable amount of clothes in my wardrobe that I haven’t worn at all. I definitely have more clothes than I need.

Scarf: Next(?)
Jumper: Uniqlo
Skirt: Next
Trainers: Jigsaw

Wearing old(ish) stuff in an attempt to look reasonably pulled together whilst still wearing clothes I'm ok with getting messy. I've got to take the puppies to the vets today for their check-up and will no doubt get wee-d or poo-d on by at least one of them. I feel like I'm doing good adult-ing by not just putting on holey old leggings ans a fleece, though. šŸ˜‚

Jeans - ancient M&S
Top - don't know the make. Got it cheaply at a warehouse sale place.
Boots - DMs

@OublietteBravo I packed up and sent back 6 sale items on Monday that I had bought in a flurry of love for them but then hadn't worn since buying. I reckoned that if I hadn't worn wintery things yet during this grim January I probably wouldn't in February. I kept 2 dresses which feel more spring than winter and the summer stuff eg t shirts. Trying not to impulse buy when I'm bored...
day at home as usual and will have wretchedly bored dogs as dog walker can texted to say her son is really unwell. DH went back to work yesterday and not back until very late Thursday so I will have to think of some brain games!

Jumper: new sale bargain from white stuff
Jeans: old hush boyfriend
Shoes: kurt Geiger slip ons because I'm waiting for postman who is bringing me new ones from hush sale and I want to try them straight away! They are for summer really to replace my converse

Argh my photo didn’t post yesterday. Was back at work. All the hospital visits gave me a head cold. Actually ended up back at hospital again last night as DS fell down the stairs! He’s ok but it was very scary as I was alone with both DC at the time.

Yesterday’s outfit:
Jumper: Only (I LOVE this jumper. It’s stripey & fits so nicely. Thinking about getting it in other colours as it tucks great)
Skirt: Vera Moda
Headband: Oliver Bonas
Boots: M&S

@happy I hope your son is okay. Sometimes with kids it feels like we live at the hospital! And that you are improving

happytobemrsg · 29/01/2020 11:12

Thanks @Sooverthemill, I’ve definitely aged since having them!

@Ellapaella the H&M leather trousers have arrived & they are a bit loose. Will try with a belt but otherwise they have to go back. A shame since they are very comfy

One day I’ll be brave enough to post a photo on here! Today I’m in jeans (Boden), fleece (berghaus) and crocs - what a style queen Grin butits because I’m having a day of hacking down a small tree and then I’m painting some doors. But the rest of the time I’m trying to scrub up a bit better having spent years not really knowing what my style is. Thanks for the inspiration everyone.

cathyandclare · 29/01/2020 12:22

I'm keeping up the stripy vibe! I'm a serial offender at buying repeat items in different colours and wearing the same styles all the time.

Plum whistles skirt, stripy Warehouse jumper, plum Anglomania coat and Daniel shoes.

Glad your son is ok happy - so scary when they do stuff like that! Sorry the trousers were no good. I'm wearing mine today with trainers.
@cathyandclare love your skirt outfit.

It's a bitterly cold day here with freezing rain. We did have snow overnight . I'm just about to go for wood so I have my trusty Dubarrys on with my Dublin padded coat. I've also got Turtle Doves gloves and neck warmer on. I do confess I'm a bit addicted to Turtle Dove neck warmers. I've just noticed I've got four!

PalacePaper · 29/01/2020 18:38

Work again today and inspire by @talisin I dug out my hush ruched skirt. Jumper is from Uniqlo. I went for Chelsea boots with the skirt, might try DMs on a non-work day.

Glad you're feeling better @happytobemrsg, and that your sons ok.
Hope you manage to keep the dogs amused @sooverthemill. I really like your white stuff jumper.

Sorry about the blurry photo! It was a bit early for me Brew

Today’s outfit (no picture sadly)

Tweed mini skirt - warehouse
Black button down shirt - tucked into skirt with sleeves rolled - H&M
Black tights
Black suede slouchy knee boots - dune
Green coat - oasis

Tomorrow -

Black and white small check trousers - M&S
Navy sleeveless v neck blouse - oasis
Yellow cardigan - oasis
Either black ballerinas (new look) or leopard print ones (dune)

Purplecatshopaholic · 30/01/2020 08:14

In the office today. Navy stripe cigarette pants from Baukjen, and a very old, but never actually worn sweater from Coast. Comfy trainers from Michael Kors (heels are in the office). Have a great day all

Wearing some very old trousers. Do I still like them? I think I avoid them because the length necessities very high heels. Perhaps I’ll shorten them.

Scarf: not sure - maybe Karen Millen
Jumper: Warehouse
Trousers: Karen Millen
Boots: Moda in Pelle (old - need reheeling if I’m keeping them)

@OublietteBravo I really like the trousers. I actually like the longer length with heels - it's very flattering imo.

toastfiend · 30/01/2020 09:00

I'm not sure how I feel about this boilersuit today. I bought it before Christmas when I was slightly tipsy and feeling festive. In some ways I love it, I like bright colours and it's wonderfully comfortable. But I'm also not sure if I look a bit like a low-budget Santa Claus in it. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø I don't think it helps that it's the same colour as a proper work boilersuit I used to have for mucking horses out before work when I wanted to keep my clothes clean! Not sure. I'm going to wear it today in the interests of shopping my wardrobe and then decide whether to keep or sell.

Boilersuit - Lucy & Yak
Belt - Lucy & Yak
Boots - DMs

@Purplecatshopaholic I like the jumper!

@OublietteBravo I'm with @Ellapaella on trousers length , wear a small heel and it's fine, not with flats ( that's just what I think)
@toastfiend I like the boiler suit but maybe try different colour from black to accessorise to avoid the low budget sant look you fear ( I don't see it mind you). And never wear a beard

In a new sale jumper from hush but I'm certain it is from last spring's range. I loved it when I tried it in and amazingly have had two complements already today ( neighbour when putting out bin ( what a cheerful jumper) and the dog walker.

Jumper: hush
Jeans: hush
Trainers: ancient Jack Purcell converses that I have discovered have a completely different footbed from all stars so I think my osteopath won't mind

Grey Polo neck (old)
Jeans - Levi's
Boots - Hush
I feel I need to add a bit of jewellery to liven it up. Quite mild here today so when I go out I'll just put on my Allsaints cargo jacket.

@Sooverthemill love your jumper

OublietteBravo · 30/01/2020 10:14

@toastfiend - I like the colour. It doesn’t make me think of Santa (I’m smirking at the ā€œnever wear a beardā€ comment though).

I’d think I’d still need to shorten the trousers to wear them with lower heels. This is what I mean by ā€˜very high’ (they include a hidden platform).

OublietteBravo · 30/01/2020 10:15

I love your boots @Ellapaella

Ninkanink · 30/01/2020 10:15

@toastfiend I love the boilersuit! Maybe try it with a different colour for belt and/or boots before you make up your mind...or trainers...

I think it’d be shame to get rid of it.

Chipsahoy · 30/01/2020 10:46

@OublietteBravo lovely shoes! I couldn't walk in those though!
@toastfiend I love the suit but if you don't, don't wear something you aren't happy with.

Dr's for me today, dreading it, so wearing my favourite skirt and favourite top. All in black, but oh well!

Skirt is hooch, not sure about top, and tights are from tk maxx.
