Ladies, ive started a new thread but thought I’d get your stylish opinion too. What do you think of this cream dress for guest at a summer wedding? I’d pick a colour out of the dress, maybe coral, for a clutch & chunky headband. Or is it just too bridal??

@happytobemrsg I don’t think it’s too bridal, but if the stars aren’t obvious in photos it could just look like you’re wearing a long white dress in photos?

If I was the bride I wouldn’t care, but some people get massively bridezilla so personally I wouldn’t risk it. There’s enough non-white dresses about not to need to wear white.

Someone wore a cream, strapless (midi length)dress to my wedding. I didn’t think anything of it, but loads of people have commented on it when looking at my wedding photos.

Today it's freezing out again so we will have heating on all day so I'm in a t shirt

Shoes: Boden sale December ( they have a metallic sheen which goes nicely with the top I think)

Happy it looks more cream than white. I think it'll be fine for a spring wedding, wear with maybe some blue sandals or shoes? To give a bit of contrast.

@happytobemrsg - I think it’s patterned enough to be OK for a wedding.

We’re supposed to “wear something bright on blue Monday” today - so I dug out my pink trousers which don’t get worn much as they clash horribly with my office chair.

Is it ok to join, albeit a bit late? I've been following for a while and love seeing all the outfit inspo, although I wear a lot of dungarees and boilersuits, so nowhere near as glamorous as most of the outfits on here. I've not long gone back to work after mat leave. I now work from home and found I've got stuck in a bit of a rut of chucking on the same old comfy "dog-walking clothes", or I go to ride my horse and spend the rest of the day in jodhpurs. I have so many clothes that just aren't getting worn, so I'm hoping participating with this might give me a kick up the bum to make an effort more and also to either wear or get rid of some of my clothes that have been sitting, unloved, in the wardrobe for a long time! I'm trying to buy second-hand or using PayPal money from selling old clothes to fund new clothes this year. Atm I'm saving my PayPal funds for a pair of DMs. I went a bit mad buying stuff once I'd lost pregnancy weight, so I'm trying to be a bit more mindful of what I buy now.

@toastfiend welcome ( the retailer or the bread kind of toast I wonder?). I think you look great and I joined for same reason, could easily wear joggers all day but trying to make an effort cheers me up

Office day today. My dress isn't as lovely as some of the others today - @kiteflyingkat - so brightened it up with a scarf. Which has the added bonus of keeping me warm!

Welcome @Toast . I joined for the same reasons as you - new mum / work from home a lot / wardrobe full of nice clothes but was reaching for the same scruffy clothes each day. This thread has definitely encouraged me to plan outfits & make the most of my wardrobe, it’s a great thread.

No photos so far today. Saw therapist first thing and then dashed to tots with the baby and then to swim lesson with the older one, by the time I got home I was feeling crappy so straight into leggings and a hoodie.

I was wearing a black skirt from bohoo with a super dry grey jumper and grey cable knit tights from h and m.

I think this might be my favourite skirt. It’s similar to one I had when I was about 18 which I also loved. I’m still pleased with the boots (Black Friday bargain) - it’s so hard to find ones that don’t make me look like I’m wearing wellies.

Lost a bit of weight recently (Divorce Diet - whole other thread!), so back in pieces I haven’t been able to wear for a while. Grey silk dress is from Karen Millen ages ago, and the boots reliably inform me they are from Dune (also old).

PS @happytobemrsg, love that dress for a wedding, it would be fab with accessories that pick out an accent colour

@OublietteBravo gorgeous sunrise! Unusually for me I slept in until 7.20 and missed ours! Usually I'm up by about 6 for DD but we slept in. Bliss.
