Honesty please - can I wear this?

Work Christmas do - would need to add a couple of stitches so it at least covers my bra but not sure how well it would then sit.

Grey tights - yay or nay? Dress is bright red, would black be better?

Assuming my burgundy ankle boots are out so planning on looking for a black pair in the week.

Will I look ok or do I need to go back to the drawing board - roast me please, would prefer it here than at the party.

There's no pic? 🙃

puds11 · 15/12/2019 18:13

I’d wear black

Makemeaname · 15/12/2019 18:19

Let's try again

?

nogooddeedgoesunpunished · 15/12/2019 18:22

Cami top under the dress ? Not sure it'll sit right though. Love the colour but might be hard to match to accessories etc ?

Loopytiles · 15/12/2019 18:23

It doesn’t look good, colour suits you but it’s too small over the bust.

Welltroddenpath · 15/12/2019 18:24

I think it would sit fine if you put a stitch in it. Black tights and boots. It’s a good dress for Christmas work do. I think you have to figure to carry it off too

Tanaqui · 15/12/2019 18:24

Yes if it sits okay after you stitch it! Def black tights and boots. You have lovely hair!

keepsmiling2015 · 15/12/2019 18:24

Stitch it up, black tights, black boots or shoes and you're good to go.

funkylittleboatrace · 15/12/2019 18:24

No

wishingitwasfriday · 15/12/2019 18:24

It's a lovely colour on you but to be really honest I think it looks a little small across the bust to be able to stitch it. Is it new? Could you go up a size to allow a bit more room?

Runningonempty84 · 15/12/2019 18:25

I think the dress is too small- sorry. Do you have anything different you could try?

gower4 · 15/12/2019 18:26

Too small - sorry

Mistletoadsandwhine · 15/12/2019 18:26

Honestly it looks a bit small round the bust. If you put a stitch in then it may pull.
As a large busted lady, I know the struggle.
Shops that ime tend to be more generously cut up top are Yours or Krisp

SexIsAProtectedCharacteristic · 15/12/2019 18:27

Too small across your chest sorry.

HundredMilesAnHour · 15/12/2019 18:28

Definitely not the grey tights. They clash with the dress and not in a good way. I actually think natural/nude tights would look best. I find that black tights can often look a bit harsh with a red dress (I wear a lot of dress).

I'm not entirely convinced by the dress. I don't think it's a great match for your colouring. You'd look stunning in dark green with your hair colour and creamy skin.

Sexnotgender · 15/12/2019 18:28

I agree it looks too small.

wishingitwasfriday · 15/12/2019 18:28

Bravissimo are good for larger boobs. I've got a few dresses from there and they're lovely.

Chinnychinnychinnychib · 15/12/2019 18:32

Lovely shape on you but it’s just too small.

dontgobaconmyheart · 15/12/2019 18:32

It isn't that it looks bad or is horrible as such OP, but it really doesn't fit you on the bust -it's too tight across the chest and I would be worried about a stitch holding on lace. Don't think the grey tights go either.

I'd go for something else. A wrap dress probably to accommodate the bust more comfortably.

PerfectPretender · 15/12/2019 18:33

I agree it's too small across the bust, but I'd be sorely tempted to wear a red bra and rock it.

Absa · 15/12/2019 18:39

I think nude / no tights and shoes would look beat rather than black tights / boots.

myrtleWilson · 15/12/2019 18:43

Could you get a bandeau top to wear underneath - that way the base of the bandeau wouldn't cause lines around your waist like a cami would...
