Work Christmas do - would need to add a couple of stitches so it at least covers my bra but not sure how well it would then sit.

Grey tights - yay or nay? Dress is bright red, would black be better?

Assuming my burgundy ankle boots are out so planning on looking for a black pair in the week.

Will I look ok or do I need to go back to the drawing board - roast me please, would prefer it here than at the party.

The simply be one is fab!

OP have you looked on ASOS, some lovely dresses. Not keen on the high neck one you posted, it will give you uni-boob

Post a picture of your other dress sometimes evening accessories can ‘ lift ‘ a dress
If not then you can rule it out and start ordering 👍

No picture of me wearing it but this is the other dress @pajamagirl. Its comfy and fits me decently but just feels so boring and like I'm not making an effort.

Heels and wow jewellery would lift it .... have it as your back up

I'd get the next size up. I don't think there's enough fabric to put a stitch in it. Looks nice other than being a bit small.

Ordered the green quiz, flowery yours and "boring" black one to collect on tuesday. Hopefully one of them is good or it'll be the old classic getting yet another outing

@managedmis that's my backup option, I like it but this party is an excuse to spend money on clothes so I want something new haha

This is the only one I liked of the 3 dresses I got today. 90% sure I'm going to go for it, although my mates are dressing for a night out so I might be a bit overdressed.

@Runningonempty84 the green dress I couldn't even work out how to get it on and the fabric felt awful so no photo there. And the black dress was very low cut, any pics would be indecent!
