It was lovely pots. I actually went and slept. I find that the kind of sleep that I get when the kids are actually being taken care of by somebody else has a different quality from the kind I get at night when they're asleep in the same house but I'm sort of 'on call'.

SOTD recently has been Monyette Paris, my old beloved favourite. And the occasional spritzing of Captured By Candlelight.

I am going to start opening the January Joy Box tomorrow or on Tuesday!

Back at work and SOTF is Ffern Winter 20. It's really grown on me.

I'm wearing Ffern Summer today @Mother. Still love it but might add a spray of Autumn too, to increase the longevity. I returned my Winter on the 21st and have had absolutely no confirmation of the return yet. Poor..... in spite of the holiday. I'm glad you're really enjoying yours though.

Yesterday I wore Balmain Ivoire, the modern one, not the vintage Ivoire de Balmain which smells completely different. Modern Ivoire is a clean, soapy iris, long-lasting but not too powerful. It’s very classy.

SOTD was YSL Cinema. I had been looking out for a bargain on this and found it half price in Debenhams online (50 mls EDP for £31.50). (They still have some - I checked just now!). It’s a beautifully hefty sweet vanilla with florals, with (to me) nutty notes.

Excited to try the day 3 JJB offering today.

It's a really £££ one and there isn't any left at all now...

Not going to post what it is yet as I'm not sure if other JJB purchasers have opened yet???

I’m not sure who else has a JJB? I do and I think that maybe 2 or 3 others do. There’s a timetable for JJB wearing on the FB group; today is supposed to be scent 3 so I do think it’s ok to reveal what it is. Just in case, can the other JJB owners confirm that they’re keeping up with the FB group or that they’re ok with spoilers?

I'm not doing the JJB, but I'd love to hear what others are trying.

I just received my order from 4160 along with a note telling me to 'B woke' I'm slightly outraged by this, but will have a cup of tea and calm down to mild annoyance in a bit!

SOTD was Zoologist Beaver, all wet fur and musk. Delightful, but there are other Zoologoists I prefer. I’ve finished off the sample now. I know what you mean about evaporation, MrsMogg, my Dodo sample has all but disappeared and I don’t even remember trying it.

I think she is doing a cheaper version for this year. It's very, very lovely. I recommend it if you can afford to get any!!

Bouncing in with another bargain i picked up today. 100ml of Pleats Please, which is a very pleasing mix of violet, vanilla and patchouli, for £5, yes FIVE POUNDS, because the cellophane was coming undone!!

SOTD was Monyette Paris again, because I am feeling nostalgic. The kids' dad sniffed me as he swanned by this morning and asked how I smell so wonderful. Why do I never get this reaction with any of the other scents I try?! (and now really enjoy)

I tried the HdP Ambre 114 sample and appreciated it greatly but it wasn't 'me'. Really interested to try more HdP...
