@theschoolonthehill ah I misunderstood your post
"Why do Hush make it so laborious you use a code? ". All retailer are different. Hush knows people will buy full price I guess. I certainly do

neveradullmoment99 · 05/03/2020 21:54

@theschoolonthehill - We have no idea why they do this. I find it actually quite annoying that they only give codes out now and again but other retailers do the same like Toast and Poetry, wrap london. They rarely give codes too. I agree its frustrating esp since their clothes have crept up in price and do not always reflect the price. However, i agree with @Sooverthemill that if a person wants something they tend to just bite the bullet and pay for it full price for fOMO.

miffy2 · 07/03/2020 19:07

I just watched the gorgeous Ruth Crilly (amodelrecommends) doing a try on on youtube (she paid for the products herself). Hilarious clip of her trying to wear her biker jacket on her shoulders :D
I still haven't caved on any thing from the S/S collection and am annoyed at myself that the ecru joggers are now on back-order. Did any of you get them?
I am off to the US next weekend (Coronavirus permitting but unless my government or the airline forbid it, I am going!!) and if I don't spend too much money there I may finally buy the joggers and maybe a top as well (the Molly in blue would be gorgeous with jeans and my denim skirt I think)
Hope all is good with you lovely lot.

miffy2 · 07/03/2020 19:11

Oh another thing, I notice Hush now officially ship internationally and have me defaulted to € when I go there. Not on your nelly, mate. £99 for a cardigan and they have it at €130 when the exchange rate shows as €114. These companies still ripping off € customers. (Note the vat rate here is 23% vs the UK which is 20% but that still doesn't bring it anywhere near €130.) Grrrr. Rant over.

katebushscat · 07/03/2020 19:45

So I just got an order delivered. Can I have some advice please?
I got the kate shirt thinking ahead to summer, I love it BUT it's see through(ish) and I'm a 40 something mum with a Tum! Because I'd only wear this in the height of summer anyway I couldn't wear anything underneath (too hot) so it's a no go right?
Also I got the kaci top. Same issues...Anyone else had this problem?
Finally I got the Beatrix jumper too. Very thin for the cost £75ish but tempted time keep - anyone have one and how dyou find it??

theschoolonthehill · 07/03/2020 20:23

I have the Beatrix jumper from a past season. It is expensive but I have found I wear it a lot. It is really easy to wear. I had it in navy too but shrunk it in the dryer last week. I’m relieved it was the navy and not the black jumper that shrunk!

I bought and returned the Kaci top. I found it too boxy. I’m a size small but a d cup and it was unflattering and too expensive fir what it was imo.

theschoolonthehill · 07/03/2020 20:24

Bye I didn’t mean to tumble dry it. It was caught up in other washing.

Sooverthemill · 07/03/2020 21:43

@miffy2 I'm eyeing up the ecru joggers and will decide this week I think. They look fab and I think I would get a lot of wear from them. I also like the khaki finoula ones though...also yes, agree the Molly would be lovely
@katebushscat I have 2 of the Beatrix jumper and though thin find them fab. No issues washing or drying, always use non bio on delicate cycle and dry flat over a towel. I'm 61 and see through tops are a definite thing of my past but with a cami underneath it may well be gorgeous on you. But if you aren't sure I would send back.

neveradullmoment99 · 07/03/2020 23:49

I have had similar to the beatrix. Sadly i shrunk my black one when it got accidentally put in the dryer. I was reallt annoyed about it. I also has a beautiful wine one from a few years ago and got chicken fat on it. It never came out and eventually felted because of repeated washes. I was gutted. I feel i have been cursed with these jumpers.

I've just realised the same. A dress for £79 converts to 91.21 euro and Hush priced it as 110e . Are they having a laugh? No bloody way!

katebushscat · 08/03/2020 07:57

Thanks soover and schoolonthehill

I think I'll send the kaci and kate back and wait til they go on sale - if they do!

dontcallmelen · 09/03/2020 14:52

I must admit I very rarely wear any hush summer tops without a vest/cami as they are usually quite thin, the only one I have that can wear without something underneath is the crepe rose top.

clothesclothesclothes · 10/03/2020 22:52

You may already know this but I received a 10% code.... THANKS10 off new season Hush. Hope that helps X

theschoolonthehill · 11/03/2020 00:03

@clothesclothesclothes Thank you. That’s really kind of you.

GeraldTippett · 11/03/2020 17:10

The Carol denim jacket is getting a lot of love but I bought it to try and its simultaneously too big and too small for me in the 10. The search continues!

theschoolonthehill · 11/03/2020 17:36

Does anyone have the Maple dress? I keep adding it to my basket and then changing my mind. I don’t like elasticated dresses as I’m waist less and a d cup. Anyone?

whiskyremorse · 13/03/2020 09:02

Spring sale, everyone! Picked up a pair of Bedale trainers and the oversized denim jacket so I'm pleased about that!

Sooverthemill · 14/03/2020 09:22

Yes the spring archive sale is on ( so all old stuff, some very old) is on sale. I've ordered a shirt dress whic I wouldn't in a million years buy at full price. I've heard some recent success with hush midis so I'm hopeful

sylbunny · 15/03/2020 07:16

Does anyone know if Hush does a sale of its winter coats at some point? I was hoping to pick one of the Leia's up but if I can avoid full price I can wait!

Sooverthemill · 15/03/2020 08:04

No they will do another sale at some point. The archive sale on at the moment doesn't include coats as far as I can see. They have sales throughout the year but nowhere near as often as other retailers. Have you bought from them before? If not one of us could give you a £20 referral code.

theschoolonthehill · 15/03/2020 18:31

Are people still going online shopping? I’m in a country with lockdown imminent. I will be homeschooling children wearing the easiest clothes to bung in the washing machine. Nobody will see or meet me for the foreseeable future. It will be a different season by the time we hopefully emerge. I’m guessing prices will be slashed to encourage people to shop again.

Sooverthemill · 15/03/2020 21:05

@theschoolonthehill I'm online shopping: 90% of all my household shopping is online as live far away from a city

theschoolonthehill · 15/03/2020 21:35

Today 21:05 Sooverthemill

Yes I shop online all the time too. I guess I meant still buying clothes? I buy a lot of clothes. Online shopping is practically my only hobby. But...in two quarters (or for how long they officially require the stock markets to crash for before they can say it is a recession) we are going to have a global recession.

Sooverthemill · 15/03/2020 21:52

Yes I've seen those predictions. But I'm hopeful. I did get DH to buy some food today from the hideously expensive deli in town as I'm worried they will go bust

Sooverthemill · 15/03/2020 21:52

So I mean I'm trying to do my bit rather than stocking up
