@Ellapaella that Wallis dress is great. Buy it

EachandEveryone · 13/11/2019 11:04

Has anyone bought anything else fromSainsburys?

Im trying to lose weight i have a couple of nights out in central London its horrible looking for clothes when you are the wrong size of a 14.

Anyone bought anything from Hush lately? It seems to be getting more expensive!

Ellapaella · 13/11/2019 11:10

I haven't for a while each, I agree it seems to be getting more expensive- especially the knitwear.

I love the blue of the Saige dress but wouldnt get enough wear outof it. Ive bought a couple of the wide v necks but nothing exciting. Im livi g the green of the Sainsburys teddy bear coats but i still have mine from Benetton in the 90’s still going strong 🙂

Ellapaella · 13/11/2019 16:37

So I did it! I ordered the Mint Velvet boots. I used the 15% discount and get free delivery. If they are as gorgeous as they look I'll keep them and save to have as my Christmas present. I have zero will power when it comes to beautiful boots.

Ellapaella · 13/11/2019 17:06

@Ellapaella love the boots

noodlezoodle · 13/11/2019 19:44

Argh now I want the boots as well! Ella let us know if they are comfy or need a lot of breaking in when they arrive.

GinandGingerBeer · 13/11/2019 20:26

Evening, sorry I dropped off the last thread. Love that dress and the boots Ella Smile

I've bought a very random pair of wide leg jeans from GAP on a total whim. Grand total of £21.24 I am hoping they'll be more like full length on me. They're either going to be fab or fail...... we shall see!
https://www.gap.co.uk/gap/high-rise-wide-leg-jeans-with-secret-smoothing-pockets/000495911000.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0p33IDo5QIVi0PTCh2UFgaZEAQYAyABEgJ7mDDBwE&kwid=1&gclsrc=aw.ds&tid=gupl000197&ap=7

Also ordered this Boden jumper
https://www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/emma-fair-isle-jumper-navy/sty-k0288-nav?cat=C1S22G6&pid=K0288-K0288-G00000001896

Hoping they might both arrive tomorrow.

It's probably best if I don't catch up on the previous thread to be honest! I'm in that awful aww feck it phase and I'd said I wasn't buying this month apart from a camel jumper which I haven't yet found and may have given up on.

twosoups1972 · 13/11/2019 20:34

@Ellapaella the boots are gorgeous, hope you love them.

@GinandGingerBeer love the Boden jumper. If you want camel, have you seen the Boden Phoebe jumper? I’ve just ordered it in cream but it comes in camel too.

GinandGingerBeer · 13/11/2019 22:50

I haven't @soups thanks I'll take at look if I end up sending this one back Smile

medb22 · 14/11/2019 08:54

Hello, hello. I completely disappeared from the previous thread (threads) - work, work, work, work. It's absolutely insane. I should be working right at this minute too, but I just can't seem to focus so I'm drinking coffee and checking out the style threads.

I want to belatedly thank you all for your London recommendations (way, way back). As it happens, the weather was truly horrendous with absolutely biblical rain, so I didn't end up doing any shopping and stuck with the V&A, the Tate, and food and wine in Borough Market for most of my weekend. Which was grand. I did pop over to Joy and Oliver Bonas, both near my hotel, but Joy was polyester central and OB was mostly homeware, so no dice. But I had a lovely, lovely weekend all the same.

I haven't been shopping at all, not even browsing online, as work has been so unbelievably awful. Anyway, I was home on Tuesday with a sick baby, and accidentally bought these while he slept (ahem):

Hush Becky Dress

M&S Boucle Skirt

I have multiple versions of that style dress from Hush. But I was swayed by the colour, and also the corduroy. We'll see about the skirt. I am still struggling with things with a defined waist (thanks c-sections). Hopefully they will come quicker than my last Hush package, which came to me a full month later, via Australia!

Sooverthemill · 14/11/2019 09:10

Welcome back @medb22! Glad you had a good weekend, sorry the shopping not so good. I hadn't seen the hush dress, like it! And I love the skirt, really very much

justilou1 · 14/11/2019 09:54

Hello again... I tripped over and fell off this thread completely. (Distracted elsewhere!) Adore the Wallis dress, @Ellapaella! Very Witchy/Hushy while remaining entirely classy.
I would KILL for the boots.
Jumper is simply fabulous, @GinandGingerBeer!!! I’m sweltering here in Aus and suffering from jumper (and season) envy!!!

Sooverthemill · 14/11/2019 10:30

Hello @justilou!

Ellapaella · 14/11/2019 14:53

Well the boots have arrived and they are absolutely beautiful. The leather is superb - so so soft. Much softer than DM's. I love them so I've packed them up and am putting away for Christmas.
I have to say I'm thrilled as so often I have in my mind the ideal boots and can never find them but this time I think I have! I just love all the details on them - the inner zip, the studs etc.

@Ellapaella they are lovely! Your willpower is astonishing

Ellapaella · 14/11/2019 14:59

Ha no it's terrible really but I want something to look forward to and I can't think of anything else I want or need so these can be a treat to look forward to.

OP posts:
Talisin · 14/11/2019 15:08

Well I have totally fallen off the no-spend-before-Christmas bench - and it’s all your fault, @Laska2Meryls ! It was that link to the glitter leggings - which led to a tunic jumper - which led to a velvet jacket - which led to matching velvet trousers. And now I need to live on bread and cheese - and possibly gruel - until Christmas.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/11/2019 15:42

Grin @talisin. Love how it was a step by step downfall!!

noodlezoodle · 14/11/2019 16:25

Another person massively impressed at your willpower Ella!

Laska2Meryls · 14/11/2019 20:15

Oh so sorry Talisin I really am.. Grin.. Where did you get them from? All Tu?
Can we have photos?

miffy2 · 14/11/2019 20:17

Gorgeous boots, Ella!

I have my Christmas presents pretty much sorted (for DH to give to me, I mean) - a pair of suede wedge heel ankle boots, a cow hide pattern bag from Nash & Duff and some skincare that has been delivered to his hotel in the US (he goes this weekend). I might manage to squeeze a pair of Spanx trousers in if I am lucky :D
I returned the Moto version of the spanx leggings as I know I won't wear them as much as I do the regular pair. But I tried on a pair of their 'perfect pants' trousers and they are just amazing. Very slim fit, fabulous ponte fabric and a great fit. I am hoping for a BF discount and will buy them then as they are just under £100 right now!
