Love those Ella, very festive!

Ellapaella · 17/12/2019 13:38

My trainers have been delivered... I'm at work but will post a pic later providing they have actually gone to my house and not taken back to the sorting office.

This one is with the gold hardware. Good fit but very soft leather. Almost delicate.

@never it's gorgeous! Are you keeping?

neveradullmoment99 · 19/12/2019 13:54

Thank you. I had posted one with it open but I realised it was a bit outing for me so had it deleted. I think I will keep it.

baileysandamincepie · 20/12/2019 12:18

Sorry, just a lurker, but can any Hush experts give me sizing advice - am looking at the leather joggers. I'm a small UK10, possibly a 9, but tend to opt for 10 rather than 8 on the high street as I'm 5'6" and an 8 can sometimes be slightly too skimpy a cut or small round the waist. Looking at ordering with the discount, but can't afford to order both sizes just to try!

neveradullmoment99 · 20/12/2019 13:52

I don't have the joggers but someone else might? I do have their leather leggings and I find them pretty true to size. I am a 12 and I have the 12 but a lot depends upon your body shape. I am pear shaped but others are narrow hips and have got away with the 10. As for the joggers I am not sure if they are generous or not. What do the reviews say?

baileysandamincepie · 20/12/2019 13:55

neveradullmoment99 The reviews are almost evenly split between TTS and large to size (yes I counted!) hence my question here. I totally get it's a body shape thing, and reading between the lines, the reviewers who said they came up big also seemed smaller than me which would obviously also change ones overall proportions. Just wanted a few more opinions, something MN Style and Beauty is never short of!

baileysandamincepie · 20/12/2019 13:56

By smaller, I meant shorter!

and thank you for replying btw never

neveradullmoment99 · 20/12/2019 14:08

Reading the reviews I would opt for an 8 for two reasons. One is because the reviews say that they are generous and since you are between sizes, I would size down. Secondly because they have a draw waist which means that you have room to play with, with them not being fitted.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/12/2019 14:10

I don't have experience of the hush joggers so cant be 100% sure. That's what I would do.

baileysandamincepie · 20/12/2019 16:37

Thanks never I ordered the 8 via John Lewis so should get them tomorrow.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/12/2019 17:23

That's great. Let us know how you get on.. If you are feeling brave, you could post a photo [a non-identifying one with your head cut out] I would love to see them on.

Sooverthemill · 20/12/2019 19:17

@baileysandamincepieOoh yes me too! I would love a pair but couldn't justify it to myself let alone DH who is a bit Shock always about clothes ('don't you have a pair of jeans already?)

From what I read the real leather trousers of all makes stretch quite a bit in a good way so an 8 makes sense. I am an 8 and hush bottoms always fit me

miffy2 · 21/12/2019 17:58

never the jacket is gorgeous on you! My Onyx must be 4 years old now and it was one of my best Hush purchases. I would love to buy it again in a smaller size and sell the one I have.

I bought the velvet pleated skirt with the 20% discount and another pair of black matt tights as they are great. They won't arrive until after Christmas now but I don't mind.

baileysandamincepie · 21/12/2019 18:30

Just to update (because you suggested I do, although I don't have the guts for a pic!), the leather joggers arrived. I actually ordered the 8 and 10, the 8 from John Lewis as I remembered a voucher meaning I could stretch to both.Glad I did as I would have gone with the 10 but it's the 8 I'm keeping. So yes, on the generous side but I am a small 10. The few mm difference in length was better in the 10 but the waist was huge and gave me bulk I don't have. I do find that sometimes with elasticated waists, the gathering under the waistband adds width. Lovely quality, although I'm not usually a fan of Hush quality so the 20% made them a more reasonable price (relatively speaking of course, still an expensive buy). Happy Xmas to me!

Sooverthemill · 21/12/2019 20:03

@baileysandamincepie they sound a brilliant buy. Glad you love them. And take a photo and chop your head off it then we can see.

Laska2Meryls · 22/12/2019 19:28

All I have bought from Hush lately is another long vest and black leggings in the 20% (because as basics they wont be in the sale , I'm sure)..

As for the upcoming sale, there's not much I am interested in.. I may look at the footwear and PJs , and will definitely reorder the embroidered skirt if its reduced ( so I can send it back with old invoice !)..and possibly the flash T if its cheap enough, although Hush Ts are often dreadful quality, so will see..

I loved the green cashmere Bf jumper., but recently got a Whistles one, near enough the same so not that ..

Also , I have just ordered a cashmere jumper in the Toast pre-sale , so cannot afford much else really..

dontcallmelen · 23/12/2019 21:15

Only thing I have ordered recently is a pair if the bright pink reading glasses, doubt I will order anything in the sale nothing I’m really desperate for at the moment, but do keep giving thought to the navy leather biker hmm🤔

DoorsAndWater · 24/12/2019 05:21

Logged on to my hush account today and got access to the up to 50% sale so ordered a few things - I’d read it was a Boxing Day sale so not sure how but my order went through with the discounts applied if anyone was looking to order in the sale Smile

Sooverthemill · 24/12/2019 07:58

If you are a Hush 'friend ' the 48 hour sale preview has started ( you need to log in). It's not everything by any means. I've ordered some stuff, mainly some basics at a good price plus dungarees I've been eying but will probably go back! Notice I have tons in my saved for later waiting for decent discounts!

Laska2Meryls · 24/12/2019 08:21

Also lots of v old stuff again !! The embroidered skirt is reduced so I have reordered. But otherwise not much else I wanted . But I have ordered the snake and the abstract print Ivy dress to try ( I have worn my old plain ones to death over the last few years) .Also the black star jeans from last year, which are now £32 so a bargain.. they were on Brand Alley a while ago but not in my size

Laska2Meryls · 24/12/2019 08:22

.. sadly ( or luckily for my bank balance) the trainers and the boots I like are not in the sale..
