There's a few old things I would try but I really feel it would be just for the rush of a bargain! I have been eying up all the things I've got for a while. There are other jumpers and trousers and trainers in my basket for later but without a decent discount that's where they will stay!

Laska2Meryls · 26/12/2019 07:47

Thrilled that DH bought me the Hush cashmere shawl in charcoal for Christmas.. I have had that on my wishlist for ever! But could never justify it, )😍😍😍

Sooverthemill · 26/12/2019 21:53

Yay @Laska2Meryls that's lovely

miffy2 · 26/12/2019 22:24

I wore the velvet pleated skirt on Christmas day, along with a very old Hush black Erica knit top (bought this in august 2017, have gotten such a lot of wear out of it)

It is such a lovely skirt! I got size 12 and it was well able for all the eating yesterday :) Nice heavy fabric and a lovely swish to it.
I don't think I will get anything in the sale for now anyway.
I hope you all got lovely clothes for presents. I got a pair of Spanx 'perfect black pants' which are a good pair of slim-fit trousers, and the AllSaints grey cashmere Witby jumper :D

miffy2 · 26/12/2019 22:25

Laska I love love love my grey cashmere shawl, I got mine for Christmas 3/4 years ago and I love taking it out every winter!

Sooverthemill · 28/12/2019 08:17

Have done amassive amount of sake shopping. Hush stuff arrived and most is going back. The white shirt and the boat neck top are dreadful, the 'merci ' t shirt is a keeper ( am a sucker for a French g shirt and I've had it in my basket since it dropped), there's a bright blue raglan t shirt which is almost a sweatshirt which I'm unsure of ad will try again today and the cord dungarees. Now I like them but I'm not sure they will get much wear and feel a bit of a gimmick so I think at £60 they will go back.

Did a quick jigsaw sale shop this morning via JL of trousers/ jeans I've wanted for a while and will see if they are good enough to keep plus a bright green t shirt. Their tees are good quality imo and very classic.

Ordered a velvet evening trousers and a velvet 'denim' jacket from white stuff too which will only be kept if they are 100% awesome. I feel I have my 'going out' wardrobe pretty much perfect but these are excellent bargains and very nice.
Then Boden had my money for a pair of shoes and t shirts I've liked for a while and waited for 60% off.

Gulp! Well I'm only keeping the best and am not buying another thing after this until my birthday except undies

Countmeout · 28/12/2019 10:28

@sooverthemill would love to see the blue raglan T-shirt as I looked at that and loved the colour.
I was a bit trigger happy on Christmas night/Boxing Day too .
From hush I’ve ordered the knitted midi dress - doesn’t seem popular and am now worried it’s awful - does anyone have it? I also ordered the blue leopard scarf as I need something to brighten up a darkish coat and a Charlotte handbag. My delivery is not due until Monday due to my remote(it seems) location.
I didn’t order the Toast coat I was looking the sizes for as it wasn’t reduced enough on John Lewis (and not reduced at all on Toast) thinking I might fall in with it later on. I did order the Nami pyjama style top and a dress (in 2 sizes) from John Lewis . The Nami blouse thing is due to arrive today.
Looking forward to hearing about everyone else’s sale buys.

Sooverthemill · 28/12/2019 10:58

Will bung it on later and take a photo. I think I will keep as I'm not very good at wearing colour in the winter so this may force me!

Sooverthemill · 28/12/2019 12:35

@Countmeout here are the photos. I think I'm going to keep it
First is just pulled on straight to show length ( I'm 5'1)
2nd and third how I'd more likEly wear it.

@Sooverthemill that looks lovely . Lovely colour. I think you’d get a lot of wear out of it.

Laska2Meryls · 28/12/2019 16:23

My Hush pattern Ivy dresses arrived .I l8ke the abstract one better but although they are both S its bigger than the Snake print one. However I grabbed it in xs this morning, so hopefully it will be better. . I am probably not keeping the snake one, I think the print is a bit Space Invaders as you can see! Also I may have gone a bit mad in the Toast sale..
Oh and I also ordered the black Battersea boots after seeing them on someone else.

I ordered some boots from Zara and H&M - only plan on keeping one pair.......she says....
A couple of hoodies from H&M too as I like their cotton.
Some makeup (Hourglass palette and glitter eyeshadows, massively discounted!) in Dublin duty free but won't get it till my mum is flying in February. Will be something to look forward to. I also ordered a Lancome hypnose mascara set, again massively discounted, from Lookfantastic.
No more clothes I think. I am going to plan some outfits that I can use as fall-backs for days when I am stuck. I have a wardrobe full of jeans, leggings, midi skirts and sweaters!

Countmeout · 29/12/2019 14:30

I like the brighter one @Laska2Meryls. Is that the abstract one? The photos are very small on my phone.
My Toast Nami pyjama top arrived after 4 yesterday and I had a quick try on. Size was ok but something Wasn’t right. Worked out what it was after I came home from babysitting last night . The left seam isn’t sewn straight and it doesn’t hang. Also there was poor stitching round the left sleeve too. Given it’s still not cheap it’s packed up to go back already. Hope I’ve more luck with the dresses when they arrive.

Sooverthemill · 29/12/2019 18:40

Total fail on sale buys! I love all the jigsaw trousers and the top so want to keep....I think I can work out 3 or more ways they fit in my wardrobe. I have more stuff arriving in next few days though

neveradullmoment99 · 30/12/2019 08:22

I love the colour of your top @Sooverthemill
Also loving the Ivy dresses @Laska2Meryls
Well as for me, only sale purchase from Hush was the embroidered skirt. Have worn it twice already.
My spends have been all from Toast this time. Have ordered a few bits and bobs today. On my wish list was the Ollie shirt and Pinwheel dress and thought I would give the cotton twill dungarees and side button pinafore a try but absolutely NOT keeping all of it. So its a try on and send back with only the absolute perfect being kept. I may also return other things that I have ordered but like less. We will see. Stuff should arrive tomorrow.

neveradullmoment99 · 30/12/2019 08:23

@Sooverthemill, what other stuff have you ordered?

Sooverthemill · 30/12/2019 08:30

@never so much! Hush dress and another colourway raglan top, cardigan, boots, posh shoes ( possibly for DD1s wedding), lace trimmed cami, coated jeans, boyfriend jeans ( I own 3 already), 2 x cord jeans, t shirt, floaty white blouse. I have sent back all the bras but 1! So that's about £200 due back and in my gable I have another lot of hush returns which is at least £100. I tried to get only stuff I wanted anyway and had in my baskets but I was tempted by a couple of things I deceived would fill gaps. My plan is no spend until my birthday ( April) and possibly June unless I need undies. I think I have enough that to me feels fresh enough

Sooverthemill · 30/12/2019 08:31

Oh if DD1 does marry 2020 I would get a dress probably from ghost and hopefully in a sale. Otherwise zilch and she says unless they get an amazing cancellation deal it will be 2021

Countmeout · 31/12/2019 13:10

Fail on my hush order. Blue scarf just isn’t me. The knitted midi dress feels lovely and if I still worked I might have kept it as it’d have been useful but feel a knee length one is more useful in my current life. The bag was disappointing, the trim is not as red as I thought and is not as nice as my Boden leopard bag ( which has a little bald spot 😭).
On the other hand my Toast small paisley wrap dress has arrived and I’m in love- definitely a keeper, sending the smaller size back (kept the 12 due to bust ) so anyone looking a 10 it’s from John Lewis- posting Thursday if you want to keep an eye out for the return.
How’s everyone else getting n with their sale shopping.

Stunning dress @Countmeout I love it on you.
Well I ordered the Toast side button dress. Reviews said true to size! It was bloody huge. Made me look like a giant toddler. It was ridiculously A-line at the bottom and too big on the bust. It has gone back and sadly the 10 is OOS :( Bum!
The dungarees cotton twill were great to look at in the mirror but the cut on the legs were stupid looking and something strange going on with the pleats at the front everytime I looked down I felt I had a cushion wedged in there. So no no no....
The winners were the Ollie shirt. I am in love with this for its material, collar and simplicity. Simply beautiful and Toast at is best.
The pinwheel dress I loved at the beginning of Autumn and new I would have that at sale time. It fits much better since I lost weight. Also love it.
John lewis cashmere relaxed v-neck - gorgeous. Lovely fleck and at £60 you cant go wrong. Its not a thick weight so wouldn't have paid full price but it was good in the sale and useful.

neveradullmoment99 · 31/12/2019 18:47

How does the toast paisley fasten?

Countmeout · 31/12/2019 19:23

@neveradullmoment99 thank you. It fastens with one interior tie and two exterior ties. I think I’d always wear a camisole/vest underneath. It’s not a wrap dress that’s open right the way to the hem iykwim.
The Ollie shirt is lovely. I have a similar one from the last sale. The pinwheel dress looks lovely too, I’ve seen it on here before I like the orange pattern but the navy would be too dark for me.

Laska2Meryls · 01/01/2020 12:32

Happy New year Hushistas!
Countmeout I love the Toast dress on you. I bought the green paisley print summer one..

So sent the Ivys back! But reorderd the abstract ( more colourful one) in the xs. Hopefully that will be here tomorrow, also a rather large Toast order Blush .. but some of that will be going back.. I did keep the Toast Alpaca jumper which wass such a bargain from JL ( they do sometimes reduce diwn before Toast so). Here it is with Toast denim skirt ( im wearing my leggings under as couldn't be bothered taking them off ) and also how I am wearing today, with Hush long vest and Charcoal leggings . Also the Toast Hari wide trousers ,also in the sale, which are going to be great for summer and beach

Happy New Year, hushistas! 🎉🥂🍾💐🎉

I hope you each had a lovely Christmas and that you’ve started 2020 feeling happy and at peace.

I’ve not bought a single thing in the sales! Not even looked! Mostly because I don’t have the money right now, tbf. But I’m still going to polish my halo a little bit...

Anyway I’m going to enjoy shopping vicariously through all of you! 😁
