Wow Sofia looks incredible. Love her emeralds in her tiara. And like CPV's dress too. I hate that 6 prong tiara though. She has much better at her disposal!

I think it was common knowledge it wasn't a happy marriage. I didn't realise he was seven years older, thought the age gap was bigger.

There are some very glamorous villains in daytime soap operas, the American ones especially. Not British soaps, obviously...

I've been reading Angela Kelly's book. I love the detail about how she cleans and decreases the Queen's Garter Robe: by hanging it in a bathroom with the hot water taps going to create steam. My grandmother taught me that trick with velvet years ago.

I wonder why she doesn't just use a handheld steamer instead?

I suspect its nothing more than very thin people sometimes look gaunt as they get a bit older. No more, no less.

I know it's a sore subject, but Kate would look so much better a stone heavier. I think getting older it doesn't look good to be too thin. I always think she looks fabulous when she's pregnant because she's a bit heavier.

The platform espadrilles are her latest thing, she's been wearing them a good bit in the last few months. And I think they had to walk down uneven streets so maybe that was the logic. But to me they make her legs look like golf clubs and the dress is too smart for them.

In some of the photos of Letizia, her eyebrows have become Mr Spock-like.

I finished Ann Glenconner's Lady in Waiting about her life including Princess Margaret. Great read, read in 4 days, which is miraculous as I haven't finished a book in months. Highly recommend.
