M seems to be courting US celebrities and media types as hard as she can. Oprah, Hilary Clinton, Ellen DeGeneres , the Clooneys etc. I think she definitely sees herself as a big player in the US once she’s extricated herself from her current situation. Of course that’s speculation but that’s my own feeling. Harry will hate it , I think. But who knows?

@SunsetBoulevard3 probably the same reason that Diana couldn’t take William and Harry to live abroad. The children “belong” to the monarch and therefore can’t be removed from their respective country permanently. I don’t know if this is right but I know I’ve read it somewhere.

I really like the striking colour of this suit, but the heaviness of the fabric in this style is jarring. It doesn't seem light enough, odd though that may sound. But I have no style

I think it has more to do with associating with people who are kind to her and think well of her as an antidote to the toxicity in some quarters in the UK.

I'm still baffled by the previous discussions on dark tights. Kate has black tights with the purple suit - looks ok to me but has anyone else got a view?

And Sophie is still out and about in Canada, visiting two hospitals. Nice neckline, neat accessories and tidy hair. Sophie is such a great ambassador for us.

I like the black tights but they make her legs look very slim which isn't so good with the voluminous skirt. The colours are right but the shape and length aren't.
