I think the waist on Kate's outfit sits too high .The whole thing looks too small .
And I hate those thick heavy looking black tights . I would prefer something slightly less dense .

Love the tights. I agree about the waist actually; it does sit a bit high, but I still like it.

She would definitely suit shorter hair, the more I look at her. I know her hair was her signature, so doubt she will cut it.

Sophie is such a great ambassador for us

frugalkitty - I've just been looking at photos of that event Queen and thought how utterly miserable and unengaged Charlene looked.

There is something very odd going on between Charlene and Albert at the moment. I only realised after the event but Charlene was actually in Japan during the enthronement recently but didn't attend any of the official events with Albert - but did post instagram pictures of herself and the twins visiting a school in Japan.

Oliphant I’m pretty certain that Anne, Sophie & Edward carry out a fair number of unsung engagements. The RF need people who just get on with the less attractive engagements. IMO

More velvet jacket action, this time from Sophia. I don't think this belted style suits a heavy fabric like velvet - makes it look bulky and bunched. Velvet is better suited to very simple cuts imo. Like the colour though!

I think the skirt is too short and flippy for her height; it looks irritatingly girlish, and she has a number of them.

Agree (wrt the puce suit on KM).

The skirt could have been full on 40s mid calf length pencil style and would have been lovely, or knee length and similarly slim fitting.

I am inclined to agree with Oliphant wrt Sophie, Anne and Edward. They lack oomph. Quietly going about the business of supporting charities in a down to earth way is inherently paradoxical.

I've seen the Balmoral video before but loved seeing it again.

DOC's BBC work will be a Christmas cookery show with Mary Berry.

I'm sure it will be a lovely programme but I was hoping for something with a bit more substance and a solid link with Early Years, Each or similar.
