Its been confirmed on Sky M& H arent going to Sandringham for Christmas

dementedma · 13/11/2019 18:31

Most upper class types are taught to dance as part of general social skills. The Army Officers I know here in Scotland are all proficient at reeling, and can do lots of different dances.

slippyfeet · 13/11/2019 18:38

Just changing the subject for a moment.... here is PW today in another absolutely fetching fleece Hmm

Who's betting the DoC did not have the opportunity to cast her eye over this ensemble this morning before he left the house because surely she would not allow him to leave the house in that?

'William, it is ghastly! Put something decent on for heavens sake, you're going to be King one day!' Grin

Sorry YRH!

(Previous regular who hasn't posted for a while and who has name changed here, hello everyone!)

There's no photo included @slippyfeet

BeatriceTheBeast · 13/11/2019 18:52

Yes, show us the fleece Halloween Grin!!!

WineOrGinOrBoth · 13/11/2019 18:54

@BeatriceTheBeast - polishing my halo Wink

@thisenglishlife - thank you. I’ll look it up. It always strikes at times of stress. I’m always stressed when I go away at Christmas time Grin

slippyfeet · 13/11/2019 18:55

I see the photo! I'll try again...

slippyfeet · 13/11/2019 18:55

Did it work this time?

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/11/2019 18:57

I don't think it's a fleece actually- isn't it just a knitted jumper with a zip?

OP posts:
frugalkitty · 13/11/2019 18:58

Oh I saw that fleece on IG, he's not exactly made much effort has he?

Jaime that would be telling! But, no Grin

Most upper class types are taught to dance as part of general social skills. The Army Officers I know here in Scotland are all proficient at reeling, and can do lots of different dances.

In Scotland, even comprehensive school plebs learn the dread 'social dancing' - which is the basic ceilidh dances, so Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sargeant, Strip the Willow etc. We all know how to dance in bonny Scotland (and give us a few drinks & there's no stopping us).

justasking111 · 13/11/2019 19:00

Is it Ralph Lauren. Be fair he is promoting centre point a charity for the homeless, what should he wear to appear relevant?

Horsemad · 13/11/2019 19:05

I wonder if he deliberately dressed down given it's Centrepoint?

ThomasHardyPerennial · 13/11/2019 19:23

It's probably cashmere, just looks like a fleece because of the zip.

Wheelerdeeler · 13/11/2019 19:25

Do they really dance reels after Christmas dinner in sandringham???

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/11/2019 19:29

I think I found William's jumper. It's not a fleece!

Right I have a mild derail. Bought the Anne Glenconner book. Raced through it. It was interesting, funny and informative but I'm also horrified at just how much money these people have and how hilarious they think things are re natives dressing up ha ha etc etc. Anyway, was going to bung it in the charity shop but given it still looks new (hardback) does anyone on this lovely thread want it (free p&p) as I suspect you lot might have more interest? First person to pm with polite request gets it for Xmas :). It IS kindness day after all.

queenofarles · 13/11/2019 19:35

its Merino , the other twitter pics are clearer.

Did Diana take her boys to this particular charity? Or another one?

frugalkitty · 13/11/2019 19:41

I've pm-ed you Tipsy

Buckingham Palace have confirmed that H&M are going stateside for six weeks and spending Christmas with Doria.

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/11/2019 19:44

I was just about to post the statement. Nothing about recharging batteries in it and it doesn't even say that they'll be in the US for the whole time, just Xmas.

Well hopefully that statement will make the media shut up, the Queen has spoken. The DM headline is laughable.

"Meghan and Harry`s Christmas in exile. " Give me strength.

QueenOfTheAndals · 13/11/2019 19:54

I wouldn't mind being "exiled" to sunny California this Christmas...

OP posts:
justasking111 · 13/11/2019 19:55

It looks like a lovely area, low crime rate, nice homes and best of all sunshine, oh how I could do with some of that now.

TipseyTorvey · 13/11/2019 19:57

Frugalkitty was super fast and gets the book, glad it's going to a good home. Love these threads 😊

bohemia14 · 13/11/2019 20:00

@TipseyTorvey I've just finished reading the book. It was a great read and she's had an amazing life but what really struck me is that the life the royals and aristocracy live is world's away from ordinary folk the amount of money is just incredible.
